At least you aren't far from your degree. I think you'll be able to find something. I always confuse the terminology, but are you studying to be a psychiatrist or a psychologist (or something completely different, and I'm just mistaken)?
Meh, I've decided to double major in both computer science fields my college offers. It'll take me an extra year, but th combinations of clases will be worth it.

I am aiming for a counselor on the mid-term, ultimately I am hoping to be a psychologist. I already have a slogan, which my Lady wants to have made into a plaque.
"Tell me all your ills, one hour at a time."

Course, that will take a hell of a long time and a hell of a lot of money to do.

That's a great slogan; honest too! rofl
Yeah, getting an advanced degree takes quite a bit of time and finances.

I think the demand will only increase, though it does depend upon certain factors in your area.

That is one of the best reasons to seek your career.
In my previous post, I was just referring to how some cultures don't "believe/trust" (for lack of a better or more exact word) in psychology.
Your future job is the kind that involves eliminating your own business. My father is a doctor, so I know how it is. You help people get better, thereby removing them (for at least some span of time) from the pool of those needing treatment. It's the curious anomaly that is humanitarian service. smile

True enough, but there is a certain satisfaction in making people feel better. Besides, mental illnesses are not an easy quick fix. Those with issues tend to take a while to get better. On top of that, they go places and interact with people and give free advertising. A network of people do the ads for me, and my attention can go more upon my customers than other lines of work.

I didn't mean for my statements to seem insensitive, and I do understand your points.
Why the hurt and fury?

It has been dealt with. Took a lot of talking, and a bit of work, but me and my lady are on the right track again.
