Giovanni raised an eyebrow at her. "A deal?" he repeated, "A buisness transaction, then? And I ignore one person?" The man crossed his arms over his chest and beamed down at Violet and the Meowth. "Who would that one person be?" he asked. Thoughts skimmed through his head.
Surely, she wouldn't know Kilik. Not that I would ignore him for any price...

"Hey, Kasiya," Nina said, almost surprised that her friend had answered the Pokenav. "I... need you to listen very closely to what I'm about to tell you, alright? It's kind of scary, but you need to try not to freak out." She paused for a moment, inhaled and exhaled, and continued. "I took a nap in a Pokemon Center earlier today, and I had this ridiculously realistic dream. In it, there was a man who was using a Pokemon as a... murder weapon. And this Pokemon was one that I've never seen before in my life. He killed my birth parents, Jessica and Michael; they were the ones that accompanied us to Five Island. I freaked out when I woke up, and I was concerned that my dream was more than just a dream. I consulted Oracle, and I was informed that the man in my dream wasn't just something that my mind had randomly conjured up... He's a real person. He's a real person that kills people with Pokemon!"
Nina stopped talking, allowing Kasiya to absorb all the information she had just been presented with. She had hoped Kasiya was able to keep up.

Watching Giovanni closely befor smiling slighlty at the older man. "His name is Dante and he happens to be our son." She paused for a moment befor continuing. "If you ignore him then I will give you anything you want that it is in my power to give." She finished. Violet had no idea what the powerful gym leader would want so she had decided to leave it open.

The next morning Toph woke up bright and early with a jaw cracking yawn and pop's in her back as she streached. Blinking her sightless eye's a few time's and putting her feet over the edge of the bed to the cold ground below allowing her 'vision' to come back she 'looked' around. Edge was the only one awake by her and she saw him give a small nod to her befor turning his attention back to body gaurding. Storm, who had been kicked off the bed by Queeny was in his shell. Walking over to the turtle grabbing the sheet that Queeny was sleeping on and dragging it behind her as she walked causing the sleeping pokemon to fall to the floor. Upon reaching the sleeping pokemon she gave his shell a hard kick not wincing in the least as her foot came into contact with the shell. "Wake up I want to get breakfast and leave within the hour." She demanded loudly not caring if she woke anyone else up.
After changing quickly into her other clothes she left her room bag slung over her back as she headed to the Cafeteria. Beind her Edge followed fully awake, Queeny was also awake but slightly annoyed as she trotted behind them her nose up in the air, Storm was the one having problem's falling asleep midstep. Entering the Cafeteria Toph marched up the the counter in front of a tired cook. "I want three plates, one of pancakes, waffles, and bacon and a pitcher of surrup at that table." She pointed to where her pokemon wer lounging around a table. "in ten minture's!" She ordered forcefully.
The cook who wasn't used to being addressed like that by anyone much less a little girl snapped to attention. "You have to eat what the cafeteria offer's little girl." He said somewhat embarrised for no reason at all.
"I didn't ask you to talk back I told you to make what I ordered and that's what you are going to do." Came back the forceful reply. The cook didn't argue after that and set to making what the girl had ordered. Toph for her part went back to the table satisfied.

M.A. burst out of the cave, slipping upon the mud as she did so and falling on her face for the umpteenth time that day. Rather than guarding herself from the ground, she tried her best to cushion Houndour, whose breathing was getting more and more strained; one of those attacks, or all of them put together, must've injured him deeper than it looked. She picked herself up in record time, though, and continued running without a thought for the numbing cold or rain.
They didn't, fortunately. Turns out this group of Murkrow didn't like heavy showers, either.
Mary-Anne couldn't stop running yet, though; Lavaridge couldn't be far away, and it must have a PokeCenter, right? With stumbling fingers, she managed to pull out her PokeNav while balancing Houndour in her other arm. Thank goodness he was just a pup and not too large yet. On the screen, she could see herself as a little star -- Michael must've tinkered with it and customized it some -- and Lavaridge as a bigger dot. She wasn't so far away, it turned out. . . Somehow, in her aimless travel before and her movement now, she had stumbled upon an fairly unused route that wound itself around Mt. Chimney and away from the desert. No wonder she hadn't seen any trainers for quite a while.
All she could do, though, was run on and on and on. . .

Until, after what seemed like a forever of slopping messily through mud and puddles, glancing down at Houndour almost constantly, and then at the PokeNav for reference, she began to see lights. Then, a building. Then, a face. A pink-haired woman, to be exact, was standing just outside some sliding doors, sending off some trainer under an umbrella with advice to go home. "Please, ma'am, where's the PokeCenter?" MA gasped, barely taking a second to breathe.
"Right here, miss -- oh dear, that Houndour doesn't look so great. Please follow me!" the nurse said, ushering the two inside. The room was surprisingly warm; before them was a counter, with a Blissey wearing a nurse's hat behind it. "Blissey, please take Houndour in to the IC room, hurry!" Gently prying MA's shaking fingers from the pup, she handed him over to Chancey, who already had whipped up a cart and wheeled him away.
"As for you, dear. . . What's your name?"
"Mary-Anne, er, M.A., but will Houndour be alright?"
"In Blissey's hands, I'm sure he'll be alright. I'll check on him momentarily." The Nurse gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm Nurse Joy; since you didn't recognize me, I'm sure you're a new trainer, right?" M.A. nodded numbly. Nurse Joy, on the other hand, smiled. "You need to take care of yourself, as well. Here," she said in such a wonderfully warm tone, draping a blanket over the dripping girl's shoulders and handing her some dry clothes. "These may be loose on such a thin frame, but at least they're warm. Please rest, and I'll tend to Houndour."
Then, the nurse disappeared into the doors down the hall; the red light above them with the needle lit up. M.A. sat on the waiting chairs for a moment, not thinking, before she remembered the clothes the nurse had given her. Feeling very, very tired and wet to the bones, she excused herself to the bathroom, giving an anxious look at those doors and red light before she did so.

Giovanni turned his back. "I have no son," he growled. "However, hand over the rarest Pokemon you have and I'll leave this boy alone. You have my word on the honor of being a Gym Leader." He disappeared into his office, the window that gazed downward to the arena becoming closed to blend into the wall. His booming voice died in the echoes.
A single Rocket Guard, dressed in the traditional Rocket uniform combined with large metal shoulder pads, ran over to Violet. He held out his hand. "As Giovanni stated, your rarest Pokemon would be fine payment."

Seeing that the boy was not replying, Kilik turned his back and began to walk towards the Bike Shop. He patted his back pocket, feeling his bulky wallet. "It'll be nice to lose a bit of this..." he laughed, opening the door. A bell jingled as he entered. The man behind the counter looked over and smiled at him, but said nothing. Kilik examined the two bikes that were on display.
"Hmm...Mach Bike: Feel the wind rush through your hair on this fast bike. How's that, Flareon?" he asked the Fire-type on his shoulder. The fox was pointing its nose in the direction of the other bike. "Or should we get...Acro Bike: Perform cool tricks on this very light bike. I'd prefer the Mach Bike, ya know?" the boy said to his Pokemon, "Get around a lot faster." He pulled his wallet out of his pocket and walked over to the clerk. "So, here's the money. Hand me a collapsable Mach Bike," Kilik said, placing the bills onto the counter. As the man pressed buttons on the register, still silent, Kilik tapped his foot impatiently. There was a clinking noise and a collapsed bike was folded nicely and handed to him. The boy ran a hand through his hair before taking the bike. It was surprisingly light. "Thank you," he said, holding it against his side. He glanced at it then at his backpack. It should fit. Once again, Kilik nodded at the clerk and disappeared from the store, the bell tinkling once again.

Sighing to herself glad that this was over but sad to see one of her most beloved pokemon go she unclipped her Aerodactyls pokeball from her waist she handed it to the Rocket. Before he could go though she grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him close to her face. "You better make sure that he takes good care of it or I will personally make sure that your little organization is nothing but a bad memory. Tell him I said that." With that she let go of the Rockets shirt and left the building in a storm.
Meowth didn't say anything as he traveled on her shoulder all the way to the pokemon center. He didnt say anything as she went to her PC and after searching through her other pokemon finally selected a Salamance and had it transfered over.

The next morning Norman was sitting at the kitchen table eatting breakfast with a small bag sitting next to him. He had riffled through his thing's last night and had found a few extra badge's, Facade TM's and 4k which he put in a bag for Mitsu who was sleeping in the guest room. He didnt really want to wake her up since she was probably tired along with everyone else in the household. Being a gym leader who had to go two town's over in order to do his job forced him to wake up a lot earlier. That and he had recieved several calls about naighbors complaining about the noise last night.

The warm sunlight splashed though the small window giving the room a brilliant gloden color. Mitsu stretched waking up up the guest room. Giving a soft yawn she got up, already dressed seeing as she had no pjs with her. Smoothing out her skirt she looked around the room resolving to clean it up a bit. The young trainer spent a few minutes fixing up the guest room before venturing out into the living room. "Morning!" she said having spotted the gym leader sitting at the kitchen table eating some breakfast.

Looking up from his breakfast Norman gave a smile twoards her and lifted up his coffee cup in greeting's. "Good morning." He motioned to one of the cubbords. "There is some cereal in there or you could wait for my wife to wake up to make you some breakfast." He said befor taking a sit from the steaming cup. "Oh and I found you a badge, it's pinned to the bag with your winnings inside of it." He said making a small motion to the bag next to him.

Ding-dong.
The sound woke up the tall brunette teen with a start; she'd fallen asleep? It must be only about noon, she figured in her head, but considering how exhausted she had been earlier, a few minutes of napping wasn't so much of a mystery. Glancing up at the source of the sound, she saw that the red hospital had turned off. Mary-Anne's heart lept. That must mean Houndour. . .
Nurse Joy presently came forth from the doors, smiling.
"He's. . . he's alright, right?" she asked, realizing how groggy she sounded. Without really being told, though, she could tell from the nurse's expression that things were fine. . . Still, M.A. wanted to be totally assured of this.
"Of course. You may see him now. He's a rather impatient fellow, and won't go to sleep like he should, so. . . " Nurse Joy motioned toward the doors.
"Thanks, thank you very very much!" M.A. said, suddenly not feeling sleepy at all as she darted towards the door. The pink-haired nurse only continued to smile; no matter how often she saw it, it was refreshing to see a trainer care for her Pokemon. On another note, the nurse thought, it was some miracle that M.A. herself didn't get sick.

M.A. didn't know what to do, laugh or cry, when she saw that little Houndour lying on the small bed, rather bandaged up, but otherwise quite fine. Likewise, she didn't know exactly what to say, either, once she had settled herself in a chair before him; he said nothing either, just looking at her by moving his head gingerly. That look in his eyes wasn't the same haughty, aloof look he had in them before, though; in those eyes, Mary-Anne not only saw herself, but a change in his view towards her. Those eyes were soft now.
Finally, she spluttered, "I'm -- I'm so glad you're alright!" Once she started, though, she found it difficult to stop. "I was worried, and I'm so sorry, I couldn't protect you at all, and, and. . ." M.A. paused.
Houndour had inched over the side of his bed and crawled into her lap. Mary-Anne froze for a moment, then hugged him gently, smiling a serene smile of a thousand watts through the couple tears that leaked from her own brown eyes. Houndour teared up as well; for the first time in a long time, he didn't feel so alone, so cold, so empty. At first, he was ashamed of his meager bit of crying, but he was in this room alone with his girl -- his girl, definately -- and he knew she wouldn't judge him for that.
"Let's get stronger together, okay?" And without a word or sound, they promised each other this.
For the next little while, before Houndour finally snoozed off in her lap, they had a conversation. Mary-Anne would talk, and Houndour would growl warmly, and that really meant something to the both; when they were silent, bathing in each other's company, that was just as important to them. They bonded more in that short time than they had done for a year in that small hospital room, all the while the rain outside stopped and the sun danced upon the earth once more.
Daemyn, meaning steadfastness, loyalty, and to the two, newfound hope, was the nickname given to Houndour that day.

Kilik fumbled for a minute, trying his best not to fall over as he was unfolding the bike. It was a hassle, but after a time, he managed to get it right and set it on the ground. It gleamed in the sunlight and Flareon barked happily. The boy had never really been on a bike before; maybe one of those toy bikes at amusement parks, but never a real bike. "Okay, so I hop onto the seat..." he mumbled, throwing one foot over the seat and placing his bottom onto the cushion. His feet touched the pedals softly and he began to pedal.
The lightweight of the bike made everything go by much faster. His sense of balance was perfect; it was as if bike riding was exactly for him. Flareon clinged to his shoulder, digging his claws into the cloth of his shirt. The boy skidded to a halt. "Ow, ow ow..." he groaned, picking up Flareon's Pokeball from his belt and recalling it through the red beam. He began to pedal again, lifting his head up high and letting the wind rush through his hair. His hands gripped the handlebar very tightly, causing his knuckles to go a pale white.
Kilik managed to find his way out of Cerulean City (after a few fun detours) and back down the route from which he came. "Just a little bit further 'till Saffron," he whispered to himself, "then the train ride back to Rustboro in Hoenn."
