Its probly his second army and he isnt used to that rule?

According to the bio, he's a Guard enthusiast. Bullshit of course.
I noticed that. Apparently in the fifteen years of feilded them that he's allegidly been doing, he hasn't yet learned those rules.

What the ******** knew GW had asshats in employment, but this is baffling. I was reading through the NE section of the Medusa V site where people are building up an army for the conflict. Only the Guard player either doesn't know his army or GW has changed certain rules.

His armoured fist squad: I have given the Sergeant a powerfist.

And his command squad veteran: Standard Bearer (with Plasma Pistol, Power Sword, Regimental Standard, Honorifica Imperialis)

Read it here: http://ne.games-workshop.com/news/sfm/default.asp?army=Vostroyans&unit=HQ&page=1

Since when do normal veterans get access to officers kit? Everything checks out, except for the power weapons, which you can't give to normal veteran sergeants and command squad veterans.

Ok the only way to give the Sergeant a Powerfist would be to give him the Honorifica, but since hes givin it to the standard bearer and you can only have one in the army thats a no-go at this station. Kitting them with the Honorifica gives them access to officer only items

but besides that the guy seems to be a douche

The Honorifica only confers the status line of a Heroic Senior Officer, it does not allow the model access to "Officer Only" wargear, unless the model originally had access to it.

Well I hope he used to play the Kavlar Chem dogs (The really nasty criminals) Cause I know that they used to allow their veterns to take officer only items. Other than that power weapons have been highly regulated for as long as I've been playing.

Your lack of knowledge brings me a lot of grievance. We shall improve on this and I expect the best. Memorize all stat lines, wargear options, costs and special rules, only then are you ready to start down the road of becoming an Imperial Guard guru.

I'm sure the machine spirit appreciates the extra effort.
