[Sanity_is_for_the_Weak] FlashbackJon [Sanity_is_for_the_Weak] If I have everyone With chainsaws, that means I can only arm them with pistols? I hate to ask this, but it seems I must... do you actually own any Warhammer rulebooks? Nope, but I really really really want one! sweatdrop Do you have the Chaos Codex?

I just... don't understand how someone with the Chaos Space Marines Codex can actually ask a question like that. It boggles my mind.
My mind is officially boggled. whee

The question would be more of if he's using common sense rather than even if he has a rulebook.
It doesn't take much to tell me that if you have a giant hacking weapon in one hand, chances are that you can't hold a large rifle in the other.
However, as per official rules go, for the most part, you can have a pistol in one hand and a close combat weapon in the other, barring a few exceptions where you can have two close combat weapons.

Let's not confuse him any more than is necessary.
The two configurations for your CSMs are bolter or close-combat weapon + bolt pistol, yes, Sanity.

[Sanity_is_for_the_Weak] How does he Get 6 attacks on the charge? I wanted to fit like a squad of Havoks into there to provide some range support, but Ill have to cut back on the troops in order to do that. I might get rid of the flamers. If I have everyone With chainsaws, that means I can only arm them with pistols? 3 basic, 1 for pair lc,, 1 for charge, 1 for mutation

Van Evok well, average WH40k player is midle-schooler... Perhaps in dawn of war, but definately not as far as the tabletop is concerned.

Ive been gone since monday, I see you guys really chatted it up since Ive left. rolleyes I brought my CSM codex to my destination, found out the difference between power weapons and power fists, decided that arming my Commander with one of those would be ******** awesome. I origionally thought to put him in terminator armor, give him a chain fist, and mutation, plus toughness, it would make for a really bad-a** dude. This would be really expensive, I can just give him mutations and speed and all that and a power fist, can I give him a second CC weapon? If I have a powerfist + charge + mutation that means that I would be dealing 5 deaths simultaneously, that is If I dont roll a one to hit.

Tech Magos Sejanus And technically the bolter has the pistol grip rule... A Bolter has no such rule. What you are probably thinking of is the True Grit USR, which allows models with a Bolter to count as having two CCWs while losing the extra attack on the charge.

XD There is no rule, yes you are right. But Bolters DO have a pistol grip. Oh and about true grit. So you lose the attack on the charge. Who cares? Looks ******** cool. PH34R M3! I hold a bolter with one hand! While using an eldar corpse as a close combat weapon!!! XD

I wasn't saing True Grit was bad, I was just outlining the rule.
