Jay noticed Natasha's smile and wondered if she was up to something. Shrugging it off, she turned back to Aubry. "If BlackJack was the best escape artist in the Caribbean, then yes, I would be following in his footsteps."

I love it when people put an 'if' in, so their hopes get a thin line to stand on. Ranu said with a savage grin. But I love it more when theres no 'if'. I love the smell of burning hopes in the morning. The male took a deep breath. Smells like victory.

"aren't you the cheery one..." Aubry said laughing a little. she also noticed Natasha's smile, and wondered what she was thinking... and wondering whether she had gotten into her own past. the thought made her shiver.

Natasha looked at Ranu and smiled, changing the subject.
"Tortuga's an awfully large place to search for someone."
She lowered her voice so only he could hear.
"I thought it would be easy to find my mother."

Ranu smirked at the two females, I'm a regular ray of sunshine, and you love it. Hearing his cousins words, he leant closer, tilting his head faintly and muttering, If shes a Mancer, she'll be where there are the most souls to work with are. It makes the most sense. If you must hide, why hide somewhere without power? He paused a moment, considering, So either a graveyard or a native tribe. She'll have guards though. I have a favour to ask. I'd like to see the old bat again, may I come?

"Of course."
One of Natasha's small fire birds flew into the tavern. Tweeting in her ear.
She grinned.
"According to my pet, my mother is deep in the heart of a large graveyard nearby."
She stands up.
"Shall we go then?"

Aubry knew that Natasha had a right to have her own secrets, so she didn't ask where she was going, but that meant that she was stuck with the Jay... something that she wasn't going to enjoy...

Ranu stood, turning Dream! Come! Jaenelle! Stay.
The green haired female moved gracefully to Natasha, her form shifting as she shifted into a sword and resting against Ranu's back.
But! Jaenelle protested, staring pointedly at Natasha, I want to get to know my cousin! Please Papa!
Nightmare smirked at this. Family confrontations warmed his cold little heart.
I need you to look after Nightmare. He'll either try and kill or sleep with these two lovely ladies, and both wouldn't be very nice for them. Ranu said sternly. He pointed at a seat and moved to the door.
Nightmare swore colourfully, going to the bar and sitting heavily on a stool.
Jaenelle sat beside him in a similar state.

Natasha smiled. Walking out of the tavern and heading in the direction of the graveyard while her small fire-bird led the way.

Jay saw a look cross Aubry's face that didn't look to excited.
Suddenly, as if on cue, a pidgeon flew into the room and landed on Jay's head. "Skull! There you are, mate!" Jay exclaimed. "What've you got for me?" Skull dropped a piece of partchment into Jay's hand. Jay held up her coconut milk and let Skull have a sip as she opened the partchment and read the letter. "That is most interesting..."

"I suppose," Jay said, still reading. She stopped and glared up at Skull, who was still drinking the coconut milk. "Don't drink all of it, you scurvy bird!" Skull blinked, then perched on her shoulder. She stroked his head thoughtfully. "You seen Navy lately?" Jay asked, not expecting an answer. "He was probobly out of reach, that's why Olivia decided to have you carry the message, right?"

Storm looked at Jay for a moment longer, shook her head and turned to Audry.
"Since Jay's gone mad, Natasha and Ranu and Botch and Sunny are gone, I guess that just leaves us together."
She seemed to be at a loss for a words then. A feat that has hence made itself scarce for many a long years to Storm.
"You seem to be bored?"
