It wasn't a Saturday market but it sure sounded festive enough. "I didn't know they did festivals for Thanksgiving." he said happily as they walked through the crowd. Leo let go of his brother's arm for a few moments, feeling safe enough to take at least a few steps but he bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to--" "Watch where you're going! Are you blind or something!?!" The stranger yelled in a gruff voice that kind of startled Leo. He was about to shy away but decided that he was getting sick of people belittling him and teasing him. "Yes I am blind!!! If you got a problem with that then get out of my face!!!" Leo yelled back in a bit of a shrill voice. "Jeeze, sorry. Just be more careful kid." The stranger said a little sarcastically as he moved on. Leo almost couldn't believe that came from him.The Crazy Tomboy ((BAHAHAHAHA Sometimes I love playing Leo! xD ))

Being quickly whisked away, Leo was starting to think his brother wasn't as proud as Leo was for standing up for himself. Leo didn't protest as he was being dragged away. He didn't say much as he listened to the music dwindle in the background. "Did...did I do something wrong?"

Asher shook his head. "No, you didn't do anything wrong. I just don't know how to react, is all," he replied. He felt sort of pathetic for almost never doing anything when it mattered. It would have been so simple to defend his brother, though it was nice that Leo could help himself sometimes.

Leo wasn't sure how to take that but he thought that maybe a change of subject would be nice. As they continued to walk he could smell more food and something floral. "Hey are there any flowers nearby? I smell flowers." he said softly, unsure of where the smell was coming from as the wind blew through the buildings. "Are we close to the cake place? We don't have to look at the flowers, there's just a lot of new things in the middle of the city. It's so much busier than where we lived before."

"Well, the center is where all the activity is, it seems," Asher said as he continued in the direction of the bakery. "If you want some flowers, I can get some for you. There should be a flower shop somewhere." He found that he had less and less things to say lately. Were they drifting apart somehow? It just seemed as if he was becoming more and more awkward.

"No it's okay, I can smell the bakery now. We're close by." he said softly, feeling the awkwardness between the two of them as well. There was always hope that their lives would get busier and have more things to talk about. Leo slowly moved his hands down to Asher's so they were holding hands instead of his brother leading him everywhere. "I miss going out of the house with you. Do you think we'll be able to do this more now that things are getting more busy for us?

"Probably," Asher said tersely. Perhaps there would be plenty of comfortable things to talk about. Every meaningful topic he could think of right now would make things more awkward. One part of him wanted to talk about Raki, just share with Leo what he had learned about his biological brother when they had been out, but he knew the two didn't like each other and he doubted Leo would want to hear about Raki, at least for now. Another part wanted to discuss Leo's feelings and maybe Asher's own stirs, but such a thing would hurt Leo. Anything else didn't have enough substance to make a conversation out of.

Leo gave a soft sigh as he heard the bell ring from entering the bakery. The smell of freshly baked pastries and cakes filled the atmosphere. Leo sat down in one of the chairs conveniently located across the table from Asher. "Something is on your mind. I may not be able to read your mind brother, but I know when you're thinking heavily about something."

"Thus is the bond of brothers," Asher said to himself. Hoping to avoid the subject, he picked up a menu and searched for the strawberry cake he had seen earlier. "There it is. Leo, what kind of tea do you want with your cake?" Knowing from experience, a majority of his thoughts usually depressed Leo, and he didn't want to hurt his brother. He just wanted to keep his brother happy, or at least in neutral mood.

Sometimes he hated not being able to read minds but if Ash didn't want to share what was on his mind then he wasn't going to press. It was probably best anyways. "I think Chamomile would be nice with that cake. It would be a good change from Black Tea." he said softly, enjoying the subtle noise from voices in the room.

Asher made note of it in his mind. "Is that it? Just cake and tea?" He was glad that Leo didn't try to get any thoughts out of him. His brother surely would have lost jis appetite and their outing would have been miserable. He couldn't understand why his thoughts were always negative, though.

Leo nodded. "That should be enough. Can we go back to the festival when we're done? I was enjoying the music over there." he said softly as he waited for his brother to place their order. He was just trying to come up with anything that would lighten the mood.

Asher simply smiled. "Sure, but you'll need to stay close. There should be more people there at this point," he said before he got up to order at the counter. After getting the receipt, he returned to wait for his number to be called.

Leo reached across the table and placed his hand on Ash's, thinking if he touched his brother maybe he might be able to see something but there was nothing. They were unpredictable anyways, sometimes he saw something and sometimes he didn't. "S-sorry...." he said a bit embarrassed as he took his hand back. "So....are you going to try and get your old job back? Or are you thinking of trying to do something different?"
