Jason rolled his eyes a little, "hello Aaron." he wasn't sure if he liked Aaron or not. he admired the man's self confidence and he really was a kind person, but he had the attitude of sex being a cure for everything. when he found out that Jason had lost his lover, he tried to seduce him, thinking that a good shag would help him get over the loss. Jason had flatly turned him down and ever since then Aaron had called him 'Doc'.

Aaron smiled, "of course you are, just don't see Doc with someone very often...actually this is the first time. you two an item or can i keep flirting without feeling guilty?"

Aaron lifted his hands, "don't mean anything by it. just see two good looking guys sitting in a gay bar makes a man want to talk to them and find out if they're together or he's got a chance, you know? let me buy you a drink, at least. please?"

Jason shook his head a little, "he's a flirt, but he's harmless, Tim. he won't do anything to scare you, and i'm right here in case he does."

Aaron shook his head, "A vetrinarian, no, but a vet as in the army, yes. already am one, actually." he took a drink of his martini, "got back from Iraq last year, was sent home after i got shot. not my choice, i wanted to go right back, but i'm enjoying civilian life." he winked, "especially when i get to have 'fun conversations' like this. Doc fixes up people, and you want to fix up animals? damn, you two fix each other. makes me jealous."

Jason blushed, "i don't know what you mean, Tim is my friend. he's not ready for a relationship right now."

Aaron's face fell a little, "s**t, i'm sorry. you lose someone too?"

Aaron's eyes narrowed, "do i need to go kill someone?" he asked softly, completely serious.

Jason shook his head, "The proper authorities have dealt with it, no need to bloody your hands."

Aaron's face clear and his smile returned, "Good to know. i can't stand the idea of someone hurting you, Timothy, you're much too cute. i think abusers deserve the chair, it's sick and wrong to do that to your partner." he shook his head, "sorry, dropping the subject. want me to leave? don't want to make you nervous."

Jason threw his hands in the air, "great, now we're stuck with him all night." he was teasing and he knew Aaron would pick up on it, but he wasn't sure Tim would.

Aaron winked, "until another hottie comes in at least."

Jason chuckled a little and just shook his head, "you're hopeless."

Aaron just smiled, "i've been heartbroken since you turned me down, have to find a cure for the pain somehow." he turned to Tim, "isn't that mean of him? i said sorry for hitting on him so soon, but he just refuses to accept it!"

Jason flushed, "I am not! Sorry, soldier boy, but you're not my type. i prefer men my own age to little boys."

Aaron placed a hand over his heart, "did you hear what he said? i think i shall go curl in a corner and die! or wait until i am old enough to get his notice." he huffed and turned up his nose at Jason who was laughing, "fine, Tim and i shall talk while the old man sits and drinks by himself. Tim, dear," he fluttered his eyelashes at Tim, "you aren't opposed to my age, are you? i'm a lot older than i look!"

Aaron laughed, "you are probably right."

Jason was pouting, "i'm not that old!" he looked down into his water, "I mean-yeah, i turned thirty-one this year, but that's not that old!" he sighed and dropped his head to the table, "i'm ancient, aren't i?"

"oops, i think i broke the Doc," Aaron moved to Jason's other side and put an arm around him, "hey, you're not that old, we were just teasing. besides, you're a Doctor, aren't all good doctors older?"
