Askari sniffed the air, smelling the new scent. Well, not that new. It was somewhat familiar, then there was a..feeling she'd get when she was by the well in the village by herself. The blonde switched forms and sniffed again, following the scent cautiously. She looked around after sniffing for a while and saw Joslyn. The orange cat quickly ran over to the girl, shifting forms as soon as she got to her side. "Jos, Jos! You alright?" she asked, not making a move to pick her up. If she was passed out, you didn't want to move her.

Somewhere deep within the lost woods.......

The fog was beginning to lift as the sun rose higher into the sky. Apart from the occasional bird call, the Lost Woods were eerily quiet. It was to be expected. People rarely came in here. It was inhabited almost entirely by animals. Almost.

A small rabbit scurried out of the bushes, its ears turning every wich way in suspicion. Confident it was alone, the rabbit hopped up to a small pond. It casually drank its fill before turning and lazily hopping in another direction. The surface of the pond rippled. Silently, two dark eyes emerged and gazed after the rabbit. The eyes narrowed before, without warning, the creature they belonged to burst from the water. Twirling high in the air, he let loose a carved duku nut from his sling. It landed with a flash, stunning the rabbit. It fell over in shock, temporarily blinded by the light. The Zoran landed with grace at the edge of the pond before throwing his spear of bone at the twitching rabit. It pierced through the neck and the rabbit quit moving. Korin walked foward and retrieved his spear. Looking down at the rabbit, he sighed. It was a good, clean, fast kill. His skills were improving and now he wouldn't starve... But he was getting really tired of eating rabbit.

Josline slowly pick herself up after clinging to the shore. She dragged herself up and cringed. Her leg gave way back down to her knee. Damn it, now she could barely walk. Damn that stupid creature, but where had it gone? The graveyard... where else. She had guessed that their next temple was there. However, how were they to get to it? It was on a high ledge so that nothing from the temple could escape into the village. She heard Askari asking if she was alright, she nodded. If the monster had gotten one of them... she didn't know what she would have done. It was a good thing it didn't kill her on the spot.

Benvolio took the Lens of Truth from his pocket and began examining it. "I actually am 99% sure who it is. I just need to confirm my suspicions but I cannot do that until we enter the shadow temple. I'll bet he'll be there when we do." Benvolio said as they entered another great hallway. They began to head towards the exit of the well. "Oh and only two people may enter the shadow temple. I want you to go with me since you have experience fighting. Even with all of that experience you won't be able to get through the temple without me. I was chosen to guard it by the sage of shadow and as such I know it's secrets. I know the key to defeating the monster dwelling deep within the chamber." He said proudly. Benvolio was sweating thinking that he gave away who he thought the hero of time was. After he saw a confused look on Denji's face he was relieved that he had not figured it out yet. Benvolio found his ocarina in his bag and set it in his front pocket knowing that he would have to use it soon. He then walked alongside Denji.

Korin sighed as he began packing his things. He'd been in the Lost Woods for a long, long time. It had become like a second home to him. But the time had come. He needed to find the Zora's Sapphire and regain his place among his people. Come hell or high water, he would reclaim his rightful place as Prince of the Zoras.

He tied the knot around his possesions tightly before slinging strap of the fur bag over his shoulder. He picked up his spear and began to head towards the exit. It'd be a long walk to Hyrule Castle.

Denji stared at him. How did entering the Shadow Temple really make him stand out as the Hero of Temple? He shook the thoughts out of his head and chuckled. He wouldn't ask. "Between knowledge and experience, that makes us a decent, does it? Am I right in assuming I'm taking down the monster?"

"Are you sure? You look pale." Mercutio mumbled as he crossed his legs. There wasn't much they could do until Denji returned to move onto the next temple. A quick glance back at the village told him that the other neko wasn't close to return. It just sounded too quite. "We've got time anyway. We might as well camp out here."

Benvolio simply nodded his head before explaining, "You are the only one who can. As protector of the temple I am forbidden from destroying the shadows which includes destroying the monster who is harvesting them. You will need a bow and some arrows." Benvolio realized that they had reached the entrance when he exited the well. Benvolio climbed the ladder and suddenly ran into the graveyard. He knew that Denji was right behind him. The thought of who the Hero of Time was had burned into his thoughts. He could not forget now.

Korin was thankful for the cloud cover. It allowed him to drift more swiftly from shadow to shadow while crossing Hyrule field. Hylians rarely took the sight of a Zora well, especially an armed one. He thought it'd be best for him to just stay out of sight.

Korin's eyes widened and snapped over to the crest of a nearby hill. He heard something comming. From the clinking and clanking and the hearty laughter, he could only guess it was a pair of Hylian Knights. Korin quickly scampered up a tree. Most Zoras would be practically incapable of this, but he'd been living in the Lost Woods for some time now. Korin watched from above as two men in full armor and a sword strapped to their hips made their way by, making crude jokes and laughing with histeria. Korin loaded a small spiked ball into his sling on the off chance that one of the guards noticed him. If they did, it would find a home in the joint between their helmet and chest armor. Luckily, there was no need and the knights passed. Korin jumped down, landing with ease. Adjusting his possesions, Korin continued his way to Hyrule Castle.

"I'm going to go see if they're finished..." Jos stood up again with another cringe as her knee almost gave way. She ignored it and rushed off towards the village. Denji had to know about the monster... the thing that had just burst from the well and had escaped into the shadow temple. She slowed to a stop as she saw Denji and Benvolio. Breathing in relief, he was safe, she would be able to uphold her promise to Askari after all. "Did you get it?" She asked, ignoring Benvolio, ever since he had arrived he was dragging Denji everywhere... and she knew it... Denji was going to abandon the group. He was going to that temple alone, with a stranger she couldn't trust yet. She didn't care if he had to go alone, she would follow. She had made a promise... to Askari.

Benvolio noticed Jos walking up. "Yes we got it. Denji and I need to head towards the graveyard alone. The spell can only carry two of us towards the shadow temple and Denji has the best fighting skills I've seen in at least seven years." Benvolio looked again at Denji and then at Jos. "Why don't you come along with us Jos? I can teleport you up there and then Denji and I will follow." He said before remembering his promise to Impa. I promise Impa, I will protect this place with my life. He had said and now he was about to allow a complete stranger to join. Benvolio grabbed his ocarina and headed to the graveyard.

Denji followed him. "Is the shadow temple up on that ledge? If that's the case, then I don't need a song to get up there!" He mumbled as he raced past the gravestones and stood on top of one of the two stones there. He noted the Triforce in the dirt between them. It was a big jump, even for a neko like himself, but he was confident that he had enough strength in his legs to help him. "You take Josline. I'll meet you there."

Benvolio played the song and he had teleported without Jos. "We can do it by ourselves. It's not hard and I can help you defeat the monster." He said as they entered the temple. It was dark and grimy inside and it reeked with the smell of floormasters. Benvolio could picture one on his back at any time from the strong smell. The ground was covered with mud and grime and kept sticking to his feet. "Let's go." He said after closing the door. After making sure they were the only two in there and that no one could get in, Benvolio looked at Denji. "Well. well. well. It seems that you would be an untrustworthy liar. This temple can destroy anyone who enters without aid. Do you know how much I went through? How long I ran because of YOUR mistake?! I was a refuge all of my life! All because of you!" He said before pulling his sword and shield. "Denji, poor Denji. Do you remember that day seven years ago? When you ruined my life? You were always number one and I always had to settle for second. I had to follow your wake. When you did good, I got the leftovers like the blame for the Deku Tree. When you did bad like taking the sword from the chamber, I got the blame for the evil wizard Ganondorf rising to power!" Benvolio said before tripping Denji with his sword and pointing its tip at him. "Any words before you die? It should have happened seven years ago but no! You were too glad that everyone thought YOU had killed the beast in the Goron Mines. Who was the one on the inside hacking away at its organs?! Bombs don't hurt the king dodongo. It lives in a cave full of them! I killed it so you shouldn't have to die!" Benvolio yelled at his face as he pushed the sword's tip closer to him.

When Koring arived at Hyrule Castle, it was nightfall. He noticed that, for some reason, the drawbridge had been destroyed. He was exhausted from his travels. He hated traveling on land. The night creatures were awakening and in the distance he could hear the screetches of the Stalfos. Whatever he decided, it would have to be quick. He could wait in the moat until morning.

He heard a clinking noise behind him and turned to see a stalfos attempting to sneak up on him. The Zora bared his teeth before swinging his right arm and throwing his sheild. The chain rattled as the sheild spun and the chain unraveled. The shield sliced the fragile skelleton in half. Korin pulled his arm back and the shield retracted. The Stalfos seemed undeterred and began crawling towards Korin on its torso by using its arms to drag itself. Korin, determined to finish the job, lept high into the air. On his way down, he spun, bringing the shield down beneath him and crushing the Stalfos's skull.

It finally stopped moving. Korin got up, dusted himself off, and after taking a short breath of dry air, dove backward into the moat. The moat was quite filthy. He wondered when the last it was cleaned. He shrugged remembering a moat's job wasn't to look pretty. Nevertheless, Hylians should have some pride. Despite its mildly murky appearance, the water tasted pure. Taking in a few lungfulls, he realized that the water was from the river. The river that began in his birthplace, the Zora's Domain. He became homesick for an instant before shoving the feeling aside. He needed to regain his honor. He couldn't do that by moping at the bottom of a murky moat. He swam around a bit to clear his head before settling on the dark bottom to await the morning sun.
