[Wow, okay, so I broke, like, 10 million rules. I am so sorry. A number of edits were made in my last post. Hopefully I got it right this time. Also, I know that our weapons can't travel too far away from us, so please don't imagine that I'm sending it 200 yards away or anything.] Sayrike::Tortuga: razz ort
Luckily, Sayrike didn't have to muster up the strength to hold up another barrier, as the demon adolescent in front of her suddenly lost interest and instead just blew them all away. Again, luck was on her side, and the mirrors she held out in front took the brunt of the wind. Still, it wasn't much help, and she simply avoided totally losing her balance and falling flat on her butt. Instead, Sayrike's feet slid back, and she had to execute tiny hops to stay upright and keep her feet from tripping her up as they dragged against the ground while the rest of her was forced backward. With the increased distance between her and the enemy, she could afford to look around for a moment. The spell-casting-shield girl seemed to be all right, excepting her large cut. Dawn seemed okay too, though she seemed kind of dazed. But the third girl...she had barely moved. Something was wrong. Giving one last sweep of a glance around, there seemed to be only one other person in distress--a man who was walking around like he was blind. What was a blind man doing out here? Quickly yelling to the girl-with-the-cut-arm (whose name she hadn't learned yet--oh wait, she had overheard it. It niggled at the back of her mind that it was a familiar name...) who had just brilliantly executed another amazing move ( How much magic does she have? Wooooow), Sayrike boomed into the gale, "Hey! I think there's someone who can't see over there! Can you help them get to safety?" accompanied by a pointing finger. With all of the dust and grime that was being kicked up, visibility was low, and she couldn't make out who it was. But she figured that this other girl had a better chance to make it through the chaos of battle to go help than she did. "If you're going to go, use one of my mirrors to help!" If this girl agreed, with a hand motion, Sayrike would direct one of the two auxiliary mirrors to follow. The blinded man was close enough that Sayrike could still keep control over her mirror to help block the wind a little, but the man was just barely in reach; that last burst of wind from the enemy had pushed everyone a lot farther apart. If she couldn't keep control and the mirror began to get beyond the distance she could command it, the mirror would just disappear and reappear back by Sayrike's side, but the other girl would be left to fight against the wind. She hoped the man wouldn't wander any farther; a little bit more, and Sayrike wouldn't be able to handle it. Whether or not the blinded man was to be helped by anyone, he was still mobile. This blond girl here was not. She looked scared--no, more than that. Terrified. Continuing to use her mirrors to block the wind, Sayrike made her way over to the kneeling female. Crouching, she asked gently, "Hey. Are you okay?" She brought the mirrors close together right up next to the two of them, creating a significant lull in the gale so that she could be heard. She glanced off to the side, keeping her mind and a finger occupied with directing the mirror along with the cut-arm-girl's movements. Even if she didn't go to help the other man, the lightweight looked like she could use the extra help to not fly away in the breeze. Turning back to the blond, Sayrike put a hand lightly on her back and gave a few circular rubs. She always felt awkward touching others, but she hid it well as she tried to offer some comfort to the girl on her knees. "Don't worry. You'll be all right. At the very least, I'll keep the wind down for ya." Sayrike wasn't one to push others to get to do something; she was of the mind to let others work things out on their own time. "I'm here if you need me. Don't be afraid to ask, okay?" she said, offering a small smile.

[Chaos :: Isle of Tortuga :: Port]
As they were falling, Chaos couldn't help but laugh. Yes, he failed. Yes, Ultima smacked him around quite a lot. But he was enjoying this. This battle against impossible odds with all of these Earthlings. Like his host, who no doubt was fuming at Chaos getting himself poisoned and stabbed and shot and stopped and all of the other attacks.
"Get off, boys, I do not need the excess weight."
Chaos turned and proceeded to push Jacob and Louis off with a powerful blast of wind magic. He glanced down at the ground with a disapproving frown. Landing was going to hurt. Unless...
The Walker of the Wheel waved his hand and a portal slowly formed into a void of black and purple. He grinned and gave a sarcastic "F-U" wave to Ultima and her host, yelling aloud, "Farewell, Ultima! Next time we meet, your head is mine!"

[[Louis : Tortuga : Port]]
Louis felt a sudden force blow him away, tearing his grip from Chaos' cloak. His tendrils still held firm though, resulting in a painful snap when the ties reached their end. His Seed of Darkness in Jacob however did hold. The signature had already vanished and he had no way to pinpoint his location accurately enough to ensure an accurate, or even safe transportation of the Juggler via a dark portal. Part of Louis reached out to Jacob, wanting to save him from the fall, but the other part of him, the part of Louis that raged like a tempest on the ocean's surface, said the only way he'd be able to save any of them from the impending pain at that moment was to be rid of Chaos.
When his eyes spotted the portal, the idea hit him and with a loud roar he pulled back with all his might redirecting himself into Chaos once more. He slammed into his side sending both into a suicidal spin as Louis frantically grabbed hold of the avatar. He shifted the blade in his hand backwards to aim at his throat. At the moment Chaos had his back to the ground and his portal, another portal, almost perfectly overlapping the first appeared, devouring their forms and suddenly leaving the entire area deathly still leaving no trace of Chaos or the Ivalician to be found.
((Aside from his daggers which are still stuck in the ground somewhere near Joe or Kyle I think...))

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Kuja ; Zexion : Isle of Tortuga : Port ]
"Tch," Sora said after Curing both Jenny and Kyle, having used what little time he had in the battle to be sure they were stable. He'd been thrown about, trying to find a good spot to jump in, but there'd simply been too much going on. He didn't like being put on the back-burner as a support unit.
"Idiot," Kyle gasped at Louis and Chaos, spear in hand as he watched what happen. He should have used it- should have pulled out Kyla's gift, allowing them to finish Chaos off for good. Something stopped him, however, and it wasn't Ultima... but his conscience. The person Chaos was possessing was unlikely to be allowing it willingly. To end Chaos, they'd have to end that person's life- a possible innocent.
Beating him into submission was one thing, but how much could the person take?
Kyle dropped onto a piece of rubble, looking utterly defeated. That idiot Ivalician had gone in after Chaos- and not somewhere they could follow, like Kyle had done (purposefully!) but to some unknown region where he was alone.
Turning to look around at the rubble of what used to be the port of Tortuga (though it was sort of already a dump, wasn't it?), he noticed Sora over near Jenny, Sayrike helping Noelle (who looked terrified), Zexion and Kuja standing somewhere near the back, the Genome looking somewhat annoyed and the Nobody looking to be in a state of frustrated contemplation.
This was, of course, his fault. Perhaps if they had come together, they would have stood a better chance? Still, Chaos didn't seem nearly as difficult as Mateus had, who had nearly decimated them twice over in Halloween Town. By surprising him with the rest of the group, they may have in fact won.
But then Louis went and got himself killed.
"Why does nothing work the way it should," he muttered under his breath.

[Nick/Chaos :: Tortuga > ????]
Chaos couldn't believe what happened. He could only roar in fury as the Ivalician was able to stay latched onto him and somehow was able to open a portal over his! The Walker of the Wheel let out a roar of frustration as he vanished into the portal, the last look he could give was one of frustration towards Ultima. Anyone suffering from the effects of his Eyes of Chaos ability would instantly recover.
The two bodies hit hard marble floors, and would recognize this place as the Great Hall in Seymour's castle. Nick's eyes shifted from the fel green and black to his regular blue. The boss form was gone, and frankly, Nick hurt like nobody's business. The poison was still in him, the holy lasers of death still left their mark. All he could really do was lie on the ground, pull off his mask, and curse repeatedly on how annoying it was to be hurt.

[Dawn : Isle of Tortuga : Port]
Dawn stopped in mid motion as she heard the frightening roar coming from Louis as he battled with Chaos. She stood there with her mouth open in terror as she watched the events unfold. The events seemed to go by too fast. Before she knew it, they were both gone....
Her eyes scanned the area with a numb look on her face, which could of been due to the bump on her head and the wound she received from Chaos, but her mind felt blank. How could someone who was part of their group end up disappearing like that? He could get himself killed fighting a monster like that on his own... if he wasn't dead already...
Her eyes soon landed on the daggers that Louis carried with him. A soft expression come across her face as she took slow steps over to where they laid. Dawn sat on her knees with a heavy thud, and reached out with her injured arm and picked one them up and stared at it.
"He is going to come back, right...?" she said in a loud whisper. Her mind in not wanting to accept the fact that Louis could of been gone for good.

[Joe: IoT: Port]
Joe's eyes cleared of shadows and darkness, and he saw no trace of Chaos or any enemies. All the male saw was destruction when he lowered his guard and his magic. Wall down, rubble everywhere, wounded allies...
And Kyle on a piece of rubble.
"You!" Joe growled out as he ran to Kyle, gripping him by his jacket and lifting him up with ease. "What the hell is your problem?! Running off, saying nothing, into a deathtrap?! No! This wasn't even a deathtrap! Traps imply some subtlety. This was OBVIOUSLY something dangerous and you just ran off on your own!" Joe glared at Kyle, letting him go and standing there, face filled with rage. "What the HELL were you thinking?!"

{James : Isle of Tortuga : Port}
((Catch up I guess, learning this ability even though it hits nothing))
There was no time to celebrate the successful shot, as Kyle unleashed a blast of holy energy from his face of all places. The blast knocking Chaos clear into a wall, and it probably would have done the same to James if he hadn't dashed out of the way. When he exited the dash his attention turned to Chaos once again, his gun, ready to fire. When the Scion unleashed a blast of wind, which James inevitably got blown back by, his back also hitting a wall. He winced in pain as he, gasping for air as the blow knocked it out of him. Just as Jacob and Louis latched onto Chaos.
'I have to do something...' He thought, trying to catch his breath.
It was at that time, that he felt it... An energy coming box from card box in his coat pocket. He reached in and pulled out a card that was surrounded in purple energy, bolts of lightning like from a violet wand, sparking off of the card. The corsair raised the card up and felt the energy transfer once again down his arm and into his gun.
"Thunder Shot!" He yelled, pulling the trigger, it's aim straight for Chaos.
The sound of a thunder clap erupted from his gun, as a bolt of lightning blasted out of the barrel, arcing and zagging as it flew straight for Chaos... However, right as the bullet was about to impact, he vanished without a trace, and Louis along with him. The bolt carried on, blasting right past where they had been until the energy dissipated.
"Well that was wasted..." He said, disappointed as the energy faded away.
He looked down at the card in his hand, the blank face of it now showed a lightning bolt, surrounded by purple arcs, cascading from the center to the sides of the card. He looked at it for a short period before returning it to the card box in his pocket. He looked around the battlefield. Not sure what to say or feel... all he knew was that his back really ached right now.

[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: Port]
"Right," she began to move towards Joe who did indeed look distressed, pausing only briefly to smile in thanks at Sora for healed the gash on her arm. She tried to keep the wind from whipping around her hair too much but about midway through she could tell that Chaos had left. The air settled back and well, there wasn't much port left of the port. Could it even be called a port? Where were all the inhabitants? It was an island! They had to have all gone somewhere, maybe they all took off in boats. Either way, they were bound to stumble into one drunken pirate or two.
Picking her way across the less than hospitable terrain, she finally reached Joe and Kyle, though Joe looked perfectly fine. At least, fine enough to scold Kyle foe his rushed actions. She would've opened her mouth to add something else, but Kyle looked absolutely drained. He didn't look like he'd be in the mood for anything, even if Joe only scolded him because he worried everyone half to death. Now they were going to have to find a way to bring back Louis, hopefully alive. Who knew how much kick Chaos still had in him... no, no, no, Louis was definitely coming back alive. A little preoccupied with her thoughts, Jenny stood a little behind Joe and twisted the hem of her outfit nervously.

[Isle of Tortuga ~ Port]
Noelle jumped a little when Sayrike placed her hand on her back. This probably wouldn't have been noticeable through the tremors racking her body. Her eyes darted to the girl as she lowered her head a little, resisting the fear-bound impulse to pull away.
"I-I'm n-not usually l-li-like this-s." She finally managed to stammer, the effects of Nick's Eyes of Chaos beginning to wear off. "I don't-t know wh-what he d-did to m-me."
The agromancer wasn't able to watch the proceedings of the battle as it came to a sudden close. She was trying to regain her composure, the fear gradually wearing off. Suddenly it was gone all together. It was like it had just been blown away with the wind. The sudden release of tension made Noelle feel very tired, but she was alright. She looked to Sayrike and smiled shakily as if to say she was alright. She was about to ask her name and how she had gotten there (Noelle was asleep when the two new kids joined up) when she heard Joe blasting Kyle. With a frown, she stood up, looking past Sayrike's mirror's at the two males.
"Whoa, hey, Joe!" Noelle called sternly, "Lay off."
She didn't know what was up with Kyle, just running off like that, it wasn't like him to be rash. This told her there had to be some reasoning behind it, even if they couldn't see it. Plus, Noelle had, more or less, done the same thing just last night (their time anyway. She was still having a hard time accepting that it hadn't been four days). The blonde understood a little, even if she didn't know the reason.

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Kuja ; Zexion : Isle of Tortuga : Port ]
Kyle didn't jump, didn't even seem shocked as Joe lifted him up, glaring into Kyle's practically hollow spheres. Predictable. He knew he'd be scolded. Though he'd also predicted Louis to jump in on the accusations of idiocy...
"I knew it was Chaos the moment I felt the winds blow through the train," he began, his voice a dull monotone, as if recalling some story as an android. His glossed over eyes locked on the spot where Chaos and Louis had vanished, but didn't seem fazed as he continued. "And I knew he wanted me dead. I remembered our fight with Mateus in Halloween Town- remembered how, when we all arrived, he separated everyone, forced you all to fight custom hellions while facing me. Remembered how, even after I was able to stop him, he only pulled out more stops and took on all of us."
"Logically, if Mateus, one of the weaker espers of Ivalice (assuming there was any sort of order reminiscent of Twelve's history) could do that, Chaos could theoretically take things up a notch," he continued, now looking at the spear in his hand. The practically worthless swallow-spear- he'd practiced so much in his magic of late that his body was falling behind. "So, logically, if he believed me to be alone, he would become blinded by his outrage and overconfidence, and the rest of you could come in, take him by surprise, end things decisively."
"We even had the advantage of having two wind-users on our side. Logically, keeping such an advantage from him would be the best choice. Logically... everything worked out fine," he stated, dispelling his spear before glancing back at the spot where the two had vanished. "Everything fell into place. He was forced to flee before anyone sustained any sort of serious injury... and then everything fell apart. Louis dove in with him."
"If I'd have waited until everyone was ready, he would have had more time to prepare, and everyone would have been more at risk," he said, now finally looking up to Joe, appearing almost entirely apathetic to the situation. "Logically, I made the best choice for everybody."

[Joe: IoT: Port]
Joe's teeth gritted, a noise akin to a growl escaping his throat as he ignored Noelle's attempt to settle him down.
"Logic...F***ing logic. You didn't logically make the best choice for everyone. You made it for your damn self. You didn't know what anyone here wanted. You didn't know what really was the best choice."
Joe's face twisted slightly, as if trying to shut down the anger and failing. "You could have been killed! What if we hadn't come in time?! What if people hadn't noticed you leave?! Goddamn it ALL, where the f*** was your common sense!?!" The fighter's hands were flailing about, what with Joe normally talking with his hands, anyway, but their force and speed and range having increased thanks to the anger and wrath in Joseph.

[Kyla: Hawaii/Angel Grove: Command Center:]
As Amy gave her a jab, the artist couldn't help but smile at her remark. Amy had a point. She wondered for a brief moment if that's where Zordons insparation oringally came from. But she said nothing more; best not make bad first impressions, though it was interesting how your perspective changes from one age to the next.
Sure, back then a child was able to accept the idea of a floating detached head giving out orders to a bunch of teenagers in spandex. However, now that maturity had set in a little more the grown fan had to admit it was pretty funny considering. It wasn't like they hadn't seen weirder stuff though on this trip. This was the Kingdom Hearts Universe after all.
As Kichi(Jon) explained their situation, Kyla came closer, standing between Cloud, and Billy and Alpha.
"Ivan Ooze," she repeated thinking, trying to recall what she remembered about him. Aside from being the scayy purple guy who's own snot could be made into monsters. That he could melt down and litterally 'penetrate you through any open cavities (which is groose on so many levels), and make you one of his zombies with skin contact. " 6000 year old tyrant, he was trapped in a hyperlock chamber by Zordon and the Order of Meridian, a. k. a. the original first power rangers."
As she muttered these facts, the girl had already opened her book, triggering her transformation into a ranger outfit, but she ignored it and continued to draw and make all her visual footnotes on the turn of events so far. Before anything else happened, she needed to get up to speed. There were brief sketches, the Command Center, Billy, Alpha 5, and Zordon. Then going back further, she drew Hooks ship & Cory. Then, the Red Rose and the scuffle outside of it's crash sight. From her memory she also put in a small doodle of Ivan Ooze, outlining his name as the current antagonist for this world, with a questionmark beside the spaceships they saw earlier. Kyla printed in small text - ' Space Pirates?'
Byt then, it appeared Alpha had located the exact place of some disturbace near the Hawaiian Volcano. 'So it's out of the fire- and into the frying pan for us.'
Well- as she put the final touches and the proper names down, Kyla flipped ahead and made sure she had prepped incase of a fight.
Then turning to Alpha 5 she asked, " Excuse me, but- is it possible to show that location on your Viewing Globe?" the girl hoped he wouln't ask why she knew it existed, and that it could do things like that.
Wow- how many times did she watch Zordon say ' Behold the Viewing Globe.' Using it was practically an instictive suggestion.

Jacob ll Tortuga ll Port
"SON OF A B----" Before Jacob felt the stinging impact of the ground, Chaos flicked him off with a puff of wind. He was sure he had a tight enough grip, but it wasn't enough. He hit the ground and rolled twice before digging his heels in and sliding to a more erect posture. "Louis, thanks for the portals but-" He turned around to face the Ivalician, but he was gone.
Jacob dropped to his knees, his heart pumping faster than the sprint here. Faster than the rush of fighting. His veins felt icy-hot. "Run, you fool..." Jacob shook his head and slumped onto the ground. "D--- it." In a blur of motion, he hopped up onto the balls of his feet and drug himself to a large piece of rubble; his head was low.
Not even thirty minutes. Thirty freaking minutes to find out if he's a cool guy and now he's gone. Louis, rape Chaos. Just do it. Destroy him and everything he ever loved, then come back.
Jacob stared at the ground for a moment before releasing a very audible sigh. He walked back over to the group like a sad puppy with it's tail between it's legs. "I'm sorry. I should have done more."

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Kuja ; Zexion : Isle of Tortuga : Port ]
"Yes, Joe, diving headfirst into a fight with a dark-empowered esper out for my head is obviously the best choice for myself," Kyle said, his voice suddenly venomous with sarcasm as he rose up from his seat, looking down at the male as if he'd just been personally insulted.
"You think Chaos gave half a @#$% what everyone wanted? We needed to get to Tortuga. Chaos was waiting in Tortuga. Regardless of our wants, we had to fight him, the only difference was on what terms," he continued, looking away from the blond bo-wielder and toward the same spot once again, his eyes running from side to side, as if going over something. "You weren't in the room when I left, but I made sure to make it flashy so people would notice. And considering how I've gotten to know a few of you, I can presume none of you can stand to let someone wander on their own. So you'd have come after me eventually."
"If you hadn't arrived in time, I simply would have used Kyla's gift," he explained, pulling out a piece of sketchbook paper from his pocket and staring at it. On it were a number of giant, hovering great-swords, each shaped similar to a cross and emitting a brilliant light. "That was actually my plan to begin with- it paralyzes with Holy energy, combining our magics. When you arrived, I planned to use it to freeze him in place and let everyone finish him off- but then it wasn't necessary, as we were so badly out numbering him it didn't matter," he continued, putting the paper back in his pocket. "If you hadn't arrived by the time I was nearing my limit, I would have used it regardless and bid my time."
"As for common sense... common sense applies to common situations. You can hardly call this-" he said, waving his arms as if inviting them to take a look at the world around him. "A common situation. I did what was safest for the team. That's what we should be doing, right? Looking out for each other? Would you have preferred we jumped into a proportionally worse scenario?"
"It's alright, Jacob," Sora said, patting the teen on the shoulder, a similar look on the Keyblader's face. "Though walking over there might not be the best bet for you right now. The ladies are fighting."
