[ Galilee knelt down and wrote 'home?' in the dirt, then looked at the guy. He wasn't sure if this guy could be trusted, but he seemed to know where the others were. After another thought, he drew a sun and pointed to himself, to the sun and back.
(Sorry...I keep getting pulled away by real life.)
(no worries smile smile i hope life doesnt drag you down is all )
he sighed heavily and rolled his eyes beckoning the man to fallow him. he walked back the way hed came silently and never glancing back. he walked at a fast pace knowing the big man could keep up. he watched intently for any more of the tiger beasts or some other threat.
upon reaching the outskirts of the group of houses, to the point where you could see them he stopped, glanced back and pointed. "there, you are back at your home, tell the yellow skinned girl and the fire masked guy i owe them my life when you see them next please i will concider your small debt to me repayed. and next time you go wandering, do take a weapon. if we meet again id like to spar with you," he turnned on a heel now an walked past the big man nodding solemly heading back out into the forest.

She stared at Nika, eyes tight and hard. She did NOT like the comparison. Not in the least. But...he was the king. Then and now.
*as you wish.* she conceeded unhappily. But she would not touch them. She wanted her hands free in case they came to their senses and asked her to do what she should do.
Kill them.
*any thought on how to return? We left the Rade clawing one another, but that has to have worn off by now. Who is to say they have not gathered their wits back?*

Rhiannon Everwind Kenshi nodded silently and his bright eyes turned to the house Zahar was pointing to. He narrowed them for a moment, studying the house, before turning to look back up to Zahar. Yes, I will meet you there when I return.
Giving the other masque a final bow, he turned and picked up his glaive from where it rested against the table and started the short journey back to Rhia's ship. Half of him was hoping that the demoness was nowhere to be found, but the other half was hoping she was there, if for nothing else than so he could at least tell her he would be gone for most of the day. She didn't seem to be too fond of him, but she was his Chosen and he would treat her with the respect and loyalty one of the status deserved.
As he approached the ship his gut tightened a little, but he kept his face calm and his breathing steady. If she wasn't here, he would just grab his armor and a few extra things and leave. If she was here, well, he would just have to see how things went. A small, cynical smile tugged at his lips as he punched in the code and the outer door opened to allow him entrance. She would probably just wave a hand at him, or say good riddance, perhaps even mumbling something or totally ignoring him in the first place.
As he stepped in, he waited a moment for his eyes to adjust before quietly heading down the hall and to the room that served as his and Rhia's sleeping quarters. Upon opening the door, four sets of large ears perked and turned in his direction. He smiled to the four Faemice huddled together on the floor and gave them a small wave, not bothering to tell them it was just him or that it was alright, as they wouldn't be able to hear him. Stepping up to his bunk, he rested the glaive against the wall and leaned into it; pulling out and slipping on the pieces of his armor one by one as he came across them.
That done, he readjusted his helmet before silently moving to the opposite side of the room and kneeling down in front of a dark, wooden chest. He unlatched and opened it, gazing down at the small handful of weapons he owned. He sat for a moment, debating, and then finally opted to take them all, as there was so little of them to begin with. He took the pair of sai and slipped them into his belt, along with the energy sword he had gotten around Christmastime. Before getting to his feet, however, he bowed his head and closed his eyes; a silent prayer rolling off his tongue that asked for protection for not just himself and Zahar, but all his fellow masques.
Opening his eyes, the small Samurai rose to his feet and collected his glaive before heading out. Giving the present Faemice a small smile and a bow, he headed down the hall and out of the ship. He glanced back before exiting though, still half hoping he would run into Rhia. But she wasn't there, and he had known as much. As he stepped out of the ship and the door slowly slid closed, a small, blue form shot out of the ship and towards the masque. He blinked a few times and took a step back, watching as Malus came to hover just in front of his face.
"And where might you be going, hmm?" The Faerie purred softly, his slender fingers running through his long, shimmering hair. He received a small grimace and a slight shake of the boy's head before he turned and started walking away. Malus, not so easily deterred, flitted after him; his butterfly wings beating furiously. "Well, wherever you're going I'm going too. It shall be a greater enjoyment than just lounging around here all day, I'm sure."
Kenshi held back a soft sigh that built up in his chest and just continued walking, knowing it would be no good to try and talk to Malus. Besides, the Faerie had an odd way about him and tended to hear only what he wanted to hear. Even if Kenshi could speak to him, the boy doubted Malus would listen to what he said.
As the pair neared the village, Kenshi silently turned towards the house Zahar had pointed out, not that pleased that Malus had decided to accompany him for the time being, but not really able to stop him. He stopped a few yards from the house, but in a spot where he had a clear view of the front door, and set the end of his glaive onto the ground. As soon as Zahar was ready, they'd set out for the ruins. This gave him a small flutter of excitement in his stomach, but at the same time he was slightly reluctant in going. He still had no idea what it was he was searching for, or what he thought he might find, but again, he just felt he had to go. ((it's been a bit since this post so I posted it all again sorry Rhia. And sorry it's short. sweatdrop )) Zahar had taken the tea set inside and given them a thourough cleaning. She took each peice and dried them setting them back on the tray ready for the next time they shall be used. Wiping her hands off on a tea cloth she went in search of the belt of throwing knives that Kataio had given her. Zahar hadn't had much practice as of yet, but she seemd to have good aim. At least throwing one would distract one for a moment if need be, she hoped.
Taking the belt from her upstairs room she headed down to the main floor. Grabbing a bit of water in a jug she tied a string to it and slug it over her shoulder. She looked around the room making sure everything was in order and stepped out the door, belt of knives now around her waist and the water hanging over her shoulder. She was ready as she would be. Zahar saw Kenshi standing there waiting. 'Hello, are you ready to go now?'

Galilee nodded his thanks before the figure retreated, then headed into camp. He made his way back to where he stayed with his guardian. He looked down at the sleeping Kaliska and picked her up, then carried her inside to the couch. Once she was settled, he headed to the kitchen to find food and drink, making a cautious inquiry. Zahar? Kasai?

chaeval She smiled again, briefly. "As long as she's healthy and happy, it's fine how she goes about things. I won't lie and say it doesn't hurt-" There, she had finally admitted it...spoken the words "but Im not going to tie her down to me. I think...it's a bit different than with you and Satehl. Shi was always a rather self-sufficient one, even as a child. She'd make her own schedule for things, verify it with me and enforce it herself. She'd even make meals for ME sometimes." she laughed. "It was great while it lasted...but I don't want to be something clinging to the past." She sighed a bit and lifted her eyebrow "Except in the fact that I still haven't left. I guess I'd like to be around if things ever did change. Although Im pretty sure they won't. It's been this way all along, I just didn't see it clearly." Grinning as Satehl continued to poke around the pond, she shook her head. "Looking now, I don't think you have the same problem. He seems to want to share everything with you, to make you a part of it, at least a little. That shows a strong bond. I envy that." ((Sorry for the delay Chae! O.o I've been a busy Uta-monkey and . . .uh. . yeah. Just haven't had much time for anything! Yay for 3 weeks left of school and finals and projects. . -.x )) Uta listened to the woman, her violet eyes studying her every expression and move. The admittance in her voice sounded . . . sad? Upset? It was hard to decipher, and perhaps only imaginary at best, but the predator mage couldn't believe this woman to be completely heartless. No, within their few moments acquaintence, this stranger had already opened up and told her of her experience with her child. . . Deep down, part of Uta wondered exactly what would happen when Satehl DID grow. . . If he ever did mature. Her eyes drifted from Chae to where Satehl continued to poke in the pond, appearing to be trying to catch (or pet?) the fish within its cold waters. He was . . . an unusually active boy. Very upbeat and always ready to do ANYTHING. He was also very loving and affectionate, very attached in his way. . . This Chae woman was right. Satehl depended on her -- most of the time. Unless he was angry or upset, he tended to keep Uta nearby or at the very least (sometimes) keep her in mind. Even at his most angry and aloof, he'd always come back. . . Or at least seem genuinely happy to see her again when his mood improved. They did hold a special bond. . . Though, what with their time apart from Masquerade, and their travelling. . .Uta wasn't sure whether or not their bond had been strained or pulled closer. Satehl had been so hurt. . so angry. Was he still? Looking back at her new acquaintance, the smile that graced her lips was small but sympathetic. It wasn't merely a facade either! She truly DID care about what this stranger had to say. "Well, I suppose she does sound very independent. . . It only makes sense she'd take that into adulthood. Still, despite how self-sufficient she is, despite however far she goes. . . well . . . She can't forget the things you DID do. Shi chose you for a reason, didn't she? I mean. . . . Chosen or not, you were there for her. . . . No matter how distant and independent, she still needed you. . . And I can only imagine that kindness can't be forgotten." Uta paused, giving a small shrug of her shoulders. " I don't know though. I guess I'm biased what with how Satehl and I are. It just makes it difficult for me to think that they could so easily forget. . . ." Trying to be a bit optimistic, Uta continued with a small smile. "Well, hey, at the very least you're still around. Shi might be independent and off on her teenage wiles, but the base still needs you. And the rest of this camp. If things haven't changed from when I left. . . well. . . everyone's important to the health of this party and colony. You have your garden, and a lovely one at that. Satehl and I are gonna have to find a niche of our own. . . " Doing what, exactly, Uta had yet to figure out. The camp had grown since the time she'd been gone. . . . The worlds fauna, her original speciality, could be out of the picture by this point and time. . . .

Io frowned, wondering the same herself. "It will be more difficult to pass them with the cubs..." She said, glancing over at Charlie. "Do you know a way to get back to home base?"

Zahar's eye open widely when she hears Galilee's voice. 'Galilee, is that? Where have you been? I was worried when you didn't come back to camp last night.' She paused and then added. 'I am out be the fire pit wtih Kenshi, one of the child masks. We are going to make a trip to the ruins.' Suddenly she felt embarrassed about running off the night before, how worried he must have been.

Chae smiled at Uta. "Well, you're going to find that all the homes have at least one inhabitant. We've started to double up. You are welcome to stay here, if you like. But you may find an empty home, so you may want to look first."
She ran her fingers through her hair absently "Ice wanted this place to be self-sufficient. We still seem rather far from that goal. Despite the garden, there is still too much that we don't know. And...there's very little cohesion. Sometimes I wonder what we should be doing here other than "colonization" I mean...what does that MEAN in practical terms? It's almost like we're just squatting here sometimes. I've never recalled any surveys, or expeditions being run...or even any attempts at charting things. I could be ignorant of those attempts...but it seems very much like we're all treading water here, waiting for something..."

Galilee sighed and gathered up the sandwhiches he'd made and put them in a travel sack, then made a canteen of water and carried it to where Zahar was. I got lost looking for you, and you're here planning a day trip. Some cat guy said he owes you. He retrived a sandwhich from his sack and found a place to sit. He was very hungry.

"Hold them by the scruff of the neck. It'll keep them calm and quiet." Charlie's lips curled in a smirk as he glaced at the cub he had been carrying like that. He knew they would have to be quiet to get out of here.
"I know ways to the old man's place. From there we can get back home." He wasn't sure if the other's knew of the old man, but whatever. That masked-guy had to run into them sometime or other, might as well be now. He idly wondered if the old man would take a cub... Would make things easier on him. Heck if he took them all-- Wait, no, he was to close to Rade lands as it was. Crap.
Quietly Charlie lead them through the ruins, keeping himself low. He had been around here many times with Trin and many more times on his own. He knew lots of ways in and out of this area. It what he did after all.

She was too heavy for Io to trust the scruff. So not too reluctantly she put the cub to sleep, following the larger rade silently. She assumed he meant Seishuko. And if he did, then they would be better off going there than the way they had come.

At some point it had just been too much for her to bear.
It felt like life was starting to repeat itself. She saw her husband and her son abandoning her all over again, in the eyes of her betraying teenage boy. He'd been gone now for days, with no sign of return.
She had been abandoned. Again. This time, she knew it was no accident.
Alania left the children and her pets under her angel's care as usual, promising to return once her mind had been sorted out. She gave no effective date, but she had promised.. and she knew she would fulfill that promise. Still, they had understood that she simply needed some time.. alone.
She would never abandon her family as they had done to her, however.
And so with that in mind, she sought the farthest reaches of escape, in order to clear her head in an attempt to forget the pain that welled up everytime she thought of her husband, or her sons. No quiet spot on earth was enough however, and so she'd done the unthinkable. She'd done something that, in truth, she hadn't done since she was nine, in her first attempt to run away from Hinata.
She returned to the stars from whence her kind came.
Floating around aimlessly, the spiky ship looked to have no real purpose. A bright purple dome rested atop the grayish craft, opaque and impossible to see through. The ship itself looked aggressive, though small. It was obviously armed, and the huge spikes jutting out from all sides of it didn't necessarily look friendly. Nonetheless, Alania wasn't looking for a fight. She was looking for an escape.
At some point after hours of flight, fatigue struck. She figured one planet was as good as any, and landed at the nearest, unaware of it's habitants, or it's climate. If it was uninhabitable, well.. she didn't actually have to deal with it as long as she remained.. shipped.
The small craft landed slowly, extending three of it's spikes down to the ground as her landing engines blew up dust around her. It took a few minutes, but eventually her engines cooled, and the dust settled. The ship sat there, doing nothing. No noise came from it, and no sign of opening occurred.
She just sat there, in some random planet far away, and tried her very hardest not to think.
It was easier to do so when you were a huge lunk of metal.

((I decided Trivii needed to come out.))
Some hours after her ward had abandoned the pond Trivii stepped onto the poarch of the home she and Aricin were sharing with a couple of little hat-baby fosterlings and the Masque child Saniya.
The wind had shifted and there was an odd current in the planets magnetic field, the cat-kin shivered delecately as the head ache set in. She growled lowly, and set out determined to find out what had upset the planetary currents, and whether the upset was good, or bad news. It was a day like any other for all appearences, except that her keen vision did nothing in locating her Ward or Roommate.
Tredding lightly she moved into the center of town, flicking silvered eyes this way and that. Where is everyone....
((Trivii is very sensitive to electrical currants, something entering the atmosphere or simply Satehl being back could affect her like this.))

{{sorry, Gaia=evilness lately}}
Whatever they decided to do, they best do it quickly now. She did not voice the thought, deeming it less than needed. Besides, she was sure her opinions were not solicited or welcome. She had already been gainsayed enough.
Her sudden petulance startled her, but more disturbing still was the fact that everyone else had seemed to go stark, raving mad right in front of her. It seemed the only solution to what was wrong. How they could be so calm and accepting of taking not just one...but several killers into their homes... their safe-haven. What they should protect with their very lives, they were carrying in.
It was almost like the story of the trojan horse...only there was no HIDDEN disaster....the danger was all to apparent and blatant. And still they perssisted.
