It would take a long time to cast spells with music... I dunno. SYAMFA isn't a competition...is it?

AkitoSousuke Congratulations. o.o *sigh* I have like a 5 minute break before going to my second piano lesson. Stupid SYAMF Competition. Oh, they should have music as a form of magic in Harry Potter! That would be cool! Albus Dumbledore quite agrees with you, Akito. He says something like, "Ah, music! A magic beyond all the magic we do here!" at Harry's very first feast welcoming him to Hogwarts in Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone. And is reported to be a fan of chamber music. turayza on achieving the exalted status of a SEVENTH YEAR!!!!!

We Harry Potter fans have brought music in to the HP world though. There's the fantastic movies soundtracks for one thing - when I listen to the one for Sorcerer's Stone, which is the only one I have, I close my eyes and bits of the movie float through my head - the themes are very easy to connect with the movie. Also, there's wizard rock, which fans created to mix music and Harry Potter. http://mugglenet.com/app/rockband/home/ <-- because I don't know much about wizard rock. ^_^

I'm actually going to a wizard rock band with Padfootspet tonight. I've never even listened to any of it so it should be interesting. Congratulations Turayza.

You went to see the whomping willows? eek You are so lucky! I love the whomping willows! Where did they play at? Turayza congrats on 7th year! I have like 150 posts left to go! Turayza you should totally look into wrock or wizard rock...its awesome! Anywho, today was my day to be bymyself and I went to the movies by myself. It was strange being alone but actually it was okay, I wasn't as distracted and could pay more attention to the movie. I saw Please Rewind with Jack Black in it. It was weird movie but funny at the same time. 3nodding

Yeah they were pretty awesome. They played at this girls house. It's called the Whomp the House tour. They travel across the states and play in peoples houses. I'm not sure how they decided on here but they did. The don't do anything extravagant. The four lead singers from each band set chairs and take turns singing songs acoustic style.
