Adamantium/Adamantine For the purposes of roleplaying, adamantium is of similar properties to steel, but is also sensitive to sunlight in that the adamantium weakens when it is worn or used during the day.
However, it is up to five times the durability of steel. ? Hmm, overly admant opponents can easily be defeated by Cziri, then . . .

Cause last I checked when used in roleplay it is A LOT harder than 5 x steel.

crzycziri It was something Mingan Nightwalker wrote up . . . Aka you trying to assign a durability to a weapon of a character not of your own. As well as not having a credible source. (wikipedia has some credibility, but atleast I did some research)

(wikipedia has some credibility, but atleast I did some research) Dreslin. Admantium merely refers to anything with a hard surface; this includes diamonds. The kind of metal Mingan forged [Ghost Jade being one I'm utilizing] just so happens to have those specifications. And if you think about it, it does make sense that Admantium would have issues with heat; it took a rediculous amount of heat to forge Admantine, as Wikipedia will tell you. Then, naturally, it's cooled down. Heating it up again, unlike other metals, may cause some imbalance thanks to how it was forged - not that it definetely will, but it's damned possible.

Understandable. However, checking wikipedia again, it said nothing it being just 5 x steel (Far stronger than steel, but not just 5 times.) While I can understand it having heat issues, Cziri was trying to assign to MY weapon that sunshine ******** it up. Checking with wikipedia shows practically no mention of sunshine/sunlight. I am willing to accept that with today's 57854738573857385347 enchanted weapons of doom, enough wacks on the staff will wear it down. However, it is not right to just assign durability to someone's weapon without proof to back it up. He mentioned a name in which I googled and came out with jack.

Actually, 5x is quite powerful, if you really consider it in terms of multiplication times the steel's durability. And that's before forgery, folding, etc.
Sunlight.. it'd have to be fierce, I.E. 100 degrees or somewhere in that region - but then? I could see the weapon being -slightly-, on the smallest level, weaker. =P Now, your admantium weapon gets hit with some fire, show a little credit towards a heat weakness. Otherwise, I totally agree with ya'.

Didn't say it wasn't powerful. The matter is not that of the durability, but that of just assigning it to someone else's character/equipment in general. Wikipedia is saying that conventional weapons (not even ballistic missiles) have no effect on it (not mentioning whether adamantium even gets heated by it). Farfetched if you ask me. If you heat the damn thing enough, any adamantium weapon/armor is not gonna wanna be used due to burning from touching the damn thing.
I will show credit where credit is due. Less so if it is just plain assigned.
