Question for the old-timers among us:
How exactly does one go about getting the kind of gold needed for big-ticket items? Something in the 400k range, say. I realize part of it is simply saving, asking for donations, etc... but, short of buying tons of letters for resale every month, I can't think of any way to raise those kinds of funds without it taking ages.
