His stance was all about readiness and reaction... and the guy did exactly what Laz was ready for. Timing the hit, Laz sprung back off that coiled right leg, snapping his body backwards while tucking his legs between them. This did send him to the ground, but he had a tremendous amount of control with it. As he felt hands on him, he too grabbed his opponent, directing momentum so that even though Laz hit the ground, the tackle had been reversed into a rolling throw with his attacker sailing overhead. He slammed his feet into the guy's stomach before release, giving that much more push and sending him over that much farther.
At the end of the reversal, he flipped up and got in the exact same stance, except he started bouncing on the balls of his feet and swatting his hands at the air. If the ghouls were waiting until Laz was down and restrained, they'd have to wait longer.

The ghouls however, reacted as soon as they saw the man go down, and would not have a chance to wait for a second attempt, for as soon as balance began shifting, the ghouls had already pounced. However, they would strike nothing as Laz would have rolled back at that moment and threw the disfigured one over, sailing by to land hard against a dumpster with a grunt.
The two ghouls, would then advance towards the VP while he was getting up from the aftereffects of the throw (Assuming that you're not just going to lie there), one crawling along the left wall, claws digging onto the stone to make temporary handholds as it hurled itself forward, the other making a low dash across the short distance to swipe a claw at Laz's legs as he got up.

...Well. His flip-kick-get-up [i don't know what it's called, it's that stylish one you always see amateurs try to do. i'm sure there's a name for it] got him up, but he was having another being attack him. Unable to get himself into an offensive position like that, he pushed back again when the attack came, throwing himself down with enough arc in his back that it'd seem like he almost float down. His land would be just as the low swipe passed. Laz repeated the flip-up, but lunged forward, hopefully rolling over the ghoul. If all this was fine, then he'd have his back to the alley entrance, with the three presented attackers facing him.
Close...
Not willing to risk getting his legs slashed at again, he lingered in the crouch he finished again to quickly assess the situation.

It was clearly a set-up. As the grounded ghoul would be making a swipe at the man's legs, clearly making a low attack which people usually jump over, the strategy was to send the other ghoul, the one on the left wall, the lunge through the air and attack the aireborn opponent when they jumped. But this was not the case as the ghoul would fly through the air and hit nothing.
When Laz flipped over the grounded ghoul, it would begin to turn around, moving with its swipe, making a mad swipe in the general direction as it turned in case Laz landed a little too close after his flip.
The aerial ghoul however, as it would be referred to in this situation, would 'bounce' off the other wall and lunge in a downwards motion towards the VP as he turned, assuming that the initial blind swipe missed or that he moved, and would have its arms make a sort of scissoring motion at Laz's head on the pass, clawed arms passing each other if missed as it would sail through the air.
The disfigured one, the leader, would be getting up at that moment, and would turn to face the VP as he began to advance at a walk. Letting the ghouls play for now before stepping in to do much of anything. His arms however, would reach out, sort of like those dumb mindless zombies you usually see, fingers spread apart.

That was the thing... Laz had indeed landed a bit too close to the ghoul. And that meant that he felt the slash, the removal of top layers of skin. Each hit was getting better and better, and they were doing well in almost cornering him. Feeling this, he blinked and his cold aura, which was previously supressed, flared. The temperature instantly dropped no less than twenty degrees within five feet of him.
"You tempt the beast... shake your stick in its face, and don't expect it to tear your arm off?" Black hair.
He was trying to do the switch thing- deal with each one, switching so they're down at different times. This wasn't working, so he was going to deal them a solid blow. Keeping his focus on the grounded ghoul, and having not moved or anything into a position where the aerial could take his head off, he rocked and lunged forward after that one passed. His right hand straightened and after slamming his left hand down on the grounded's head to keep it in place, he scooped his palm and jammed his claws into the neck.
"I see you."
Following up with a twisting motion, he turned his body around on the ghoul. This would serve to rip further into its neck and if they were still there, sever the lungs completely while opening the jugluar. He finished crouching over the ghoul who he totally didn't expect was defeated... but his position would prevent it from instantly attacking him again.

The aerial ghoul would pass harmlessly overhead, but sink it's claws down into the ground behind Laz as it would begin to use that as a brace and stop behind him as it began to flip around on a handstand. The grounded ghoul would not actually have to attack however, as the two ghouls were in close proximity now.
As it's head was pounded downwards in the hand of Laz to the concrete, the disfigured character's hands would be glowing a soft dark purple tint, probably unnoticeable since the VP was focussed on the ghoul which was turning as he smashed it down.
And then before the ghoul in a handstand could land on its feet, and as Laz would have his hands in the ghoul and twist, the two glowing hands would close.
In that moment, both ghouls, tracing back to some sort of odd link to the necromancer's control through the soft glow in his hands, for he did only have two hands, would simply explode. But not with any form of heat or shrapnel one might expect from a typical bomb. Rather, it was more of a burst of force as the bodies sort of disintegrated into sickly blood and dust.
The amount of force, being on two sides and somewhat above from the legs of the flipping ghoul would sort of sandwich Laz for a moment, not enough to be damaging, but each normally powerful enough to push a grown man a good five feet away. Sandwiched however, and crouching, he'd be held for somewhere around two seconds.
But the force of the explosion was not the problem, it was the ghouls themselves. The Ghoul Bomb as it was called, worked in a way which sacrificed the undead in question. The concept being that, undead being a conduit to the negative energy plane, such energies would linger a moment in the area of the sacrificed undead. In this case, the Ghoul Bomb created a mist which lasted a good 3 seconds or so which had properties akin to the negative energy plane, that which drains energy, as opposed to its opposite, the positive energy plane, which gives energy. Normally, the flaw in the spell is that the initial burst of force from the exploding ghoul pushes a victim back so that they do not suffer the full effects of the spell. However, sandwiched and held in such a position, in close proximity, even with a hand inside the ghoul upon activation of the spell, Laz would clearly feel the effects... unless he had negative plane protection.
The mist, acting like a temporary part of the negative energy plane would drain the energy right out of the man, taking away heat, life, and other forms of energy in the mist before it cleared. As there was no heat in the area right around Laz, it would take energy directly from him, sucking out his vitality as long as he remained in the area, a good two seconds with the sandwich effect at least. Clearly he would feel it as if he was getting very tired, energy being drained right from him. The question was how much would he have left after this?
((One of the things I wanted to test: Ghoul Bomb. Have something else, but its more of a strategy than a spell.
*Added thought: Right, I didnt note a set damage or drain. Where in the case of the spell, it should be an energy drain somewhere equivalent to the condition of the ghouls exploded. Because the one that got stabbed in the neck or whatever would be in a worse state compared to the flipping one, the mist would drain more from the flipping one than from the injured one. Sort of like the bond between the negative energy plane weakens as the undead gets more damaged. Destroyed undead is, well, destroyed, and would theoretically no longer be linked to the negative energy plane.
So the drain would be like... 1.5/2 or whatever you want to say worth of drain for the two ghouls. One in good condition, one somewhat busted up to a degree which I'm too lazy to try to think of since its undead and ripping at its jugular wouldnt really do much and I cant remember if its spine was severed before or would be after the explosion spine severed during explosion.
And then factoring how much energy Laz would have compared to a ghoul. For examply, you say he's got energy equivalent to 3 ghouls or something. Then he'd be drained 1.5/3 for the 3 seconds of mist, and then multiplied by 2 for the 2 seconds spent in the mist. So it'd be 1/3 energy drained as a whole in total for that attack. Keep in mind that energy as in being tired and 'energy' in the term of vitality, are two things in the whole, so both are drained equally. Just have to see if he becomes a withered husk or if he falls asleep or something at different levels of energy in the body. Or no drain at all with negative plane protection. But the damage is up to you, so say whatever you want.))

Actually, he noticed the glow... but he was kinda busy trying not to get jumped and slashed. But Laz didn't need what just happened, to happen.
The force of the explosion sent him only like... a foot back, since he was low to the ground and was very stable with his position. Ah, but that mist. Negative energy... it wasn't in the same class as Lunar, so his initial search for that signature failed quickly. This was a very new energy type to him... one he wasn't ready for.
Cue tiredness. He stayed low and turned... since other than the ghouls on the roof [which he'd spied during the repetition of the flip-up], there was that main guy to worry about assaulting him. Maybe he could deal with getting Ghoul Bombed again, just being very tired since Lazenca was the kind of person that if allowed, would stay awake for two weeks, and sleep for one. He was used to being tired. And since he ate not too long ago, full tank of energy. SO to conclude this essay, Laz was tired, but wasn't going to look it by much. He just started looking as nonchalant and disinterested as when the fight started, but his hair color didn't change this time. He did feel how badly his aura was affected, something that worried him.
No words... just reaction. He was still at the head of the alley, so he could leave. But... he didn't expect that these guys would let him. Stifling a yawn, he played the waiting game and tried to wait for his second wind. It was a game that he was quickly getting tired of... no pun intended.

And the two ghouls by the entrance would start heading inwards when the first attacking pair popped, advancing on Laz after the energy drain. At the same time, the disfigured one would be calmly walking foreward towards Laz's back. He wasnt really in a rush do do anything, and like the aftereffects of a spell, there was usually a delay time before he'd be able to cast another one.
The ghouls however would be different, as the one on the VP's right would pull ahead of the second one and weave low, left and right in the alley until it neared, thrusting a left claw at the man's gut as it neared.
Oh right... the claws. Ghouls, being the filthy things that they are, possess a weird ability to cause temporary paralysis to a victim struck by their claws. Of course, it didnt always work, depending on the immune system of the individual, and here it seemed like that leg swipe didnt cause temporary paralysis to Laz.

"Sssss...." He crossed his left arm over his face.
"Are you going to keep playing with them?"
"I can't fight right now.. I have things to do... I have to know..."
His last position had him facing the alley entrance, so he saw them advance.
"If you die here, I'm going to make sure our soul never rests. Fight back."
He pushed up from his crouch, stepping forward and swinging his left arm outward. The hanging left immediately followed down, and the end result was a sort of cross torn out of the air, 5 horiz x 5 vert lines, that his attacker was more than welcome to run into, at which time its body would be sliced apart.
"Alexia..."
"IDIOT!"

And as the ghoul ran into the shredding light, it's arm would still plunge forward, claws aimed to drive through cloth and into flesh.
And at that moment, there'd be quick footsteps heading towards Laz, the disfigured one apparently moving in at that moment. There'd be around three feet or so between him and the VP before he could really reach out and do anything as he'd probably be noticed by them.
The second ghoul however, would hold back and wait for the moment, as it moved into a low stance, legs bending, arms poised at it's sides as if it would make a crossing slash with both arms.
The ghoul wouldnt be the problem here for now, the necromancer would, as it was obvious he was making the move while the ghoul waited its turn.

"One thing at a time. One thing at a time."
"You're going to get us killed."
Fangs of the Arctic Wolf cancelled immediately into [the temporarily-named-cause-i-can-never-remember] Maelstrom... the right arm came back, and he tore away at the open air, each slash doing its part to create a white wall of slashes that if touched, would seem like Laz had physically done it. He stepped forward and to the right with it, both to give himself another half second between himself and the necromancer, and to let the ghoul's arm mise wide left.. and get torn off for it. Hey, if momentum was good, the ghoul was gonna have its shoulders on up totally removed... but the wall was there, and those two ghouls could do what they wanted to. But if that one in the back got near him, it was gone.
"Don't trigger don't trigger don't trigger don't trigger."
He sighed.
The most he could do was turn and try to be ready for the necromancer, keeping in mind where the hanging Maelstrom was.

The ghoul with its arm cut off would only press deeper into the slashes at it forced it way foreward, right arm now reaching out to strike around the lines at the VP's chest as it pushed itself into the slashes, the second ghoul still waiting.
And a loud ruffle of cloth would be heard, whether or not Laz turned around to watch the necromancer, the disfigured one whipping open the cloak as he spun around and flung the folds of dark cloth sailing into the air around him.
And then there was a sound... sort of like a droning buz, coming in the direction of the necromancer. Did Laz want to look? Or was he still too busy concentrating on the ghoul.

Kraun The ghoul with its arm cut off would only press deeper into the slashes at it forced it way foreward, right arm now-- --being shredded apart the moment it touched the slashes. The wall was weakening by the second and with the constant contact, but it still had meat-grinding power behind it, for now.
Lazenca had turned as soon as he'd finished the Maelstrom, so he saw whtn the startup of this spin happened. Of course, he made the guy pay for starting an attack like that... the moment he turned, the necromancer would have a fist thrown into his head. How he took the hit- back or side of head, face... depeneded on where he was in the spin when Laz punched him.

And he would strike solidity of face... or rather something semi-solid as it burst apart. Skin, callices, scabs, scars, internal stitching; they tore apart as the head exploded, not so spontaneously as a grenade going off, but more like everything inside the head tried to come out at the same time from the orifices. And like so, the arms did the same.
Swarm would be the word used in this case as a large black object burst from the body, the hood and the folds of the cloak as the body broke. And from the mess, the droning was heard. Each individual black fly was only 1/15 in size, near invisible in the dark alley, whereas the deerflies were larger, 1/4 of an inch large. Individually, they hardly made any noise, but in a cloud like they were, bursting from the stitched body, they were clearly audible.
Every single one within the vicinity would fly towards Laz, which would be an arms length away, one arm extended to punch the cloak in the head as the flies came out in a black cloud, biting at whatever flesh they came in contact with. It was like a creeping doom, only instead of a carpet, this came in a cloud of biting flies, pincers that tore at flesh and left little red welts that would continued to bleed for a little while after the initial bite.
It would begin to tear at his skin from his outstretched arm, the ones closest getting under the sleeves as they began their feast as the rest of the cloud swarmed the rest of his body, gnawing at any exposed flesh or getting into the loose folds of clothing, going for the eyes, inside of the nose and whatnot. With all the biting and pinpricks of pain, it would probably be hard for him to concentrate on much of anything. And at that time, the last remaining ghoul would scurry up the wall towards the rooftops as the pests spread out.
And the necromancer, or rather, shell disguised of the neromancer would only empty as the swarm poured out. A disguise which hid the real necromancer, played like a puppet on strings with all the abilities of the real thing. Minimal risks, maximum efficiency.

"Wh... sezahm!!" An exclamation and a yelp was cut off as he closed his mouth... whatever it was, he didn't want to injest it. Alas, Laz's shirt was naught but a tank so those things would have a field day on his hand and arm. The feel? They felt like fleas. A huge bucket of fleas, ticks, and mosquitos that were suddenly dumped onto his arm. His skin crawled as the flies found places to bite, and Lazenca felt an overall burning sensation. He scrunched his body up, his left hand covering his mouth and nose to prevent entry from those orifices, and he flattened his ears, closing his eyes just enough to prevent any huge fly from latching onto his eyeball and piercing or something like that.
It'd been a while without a good overwelming blast of cold... now was as good a time as any to see if he had the focus and power after the mist and getting his skin torn into to generate some cold. After bringing his right hand behind his head and forcing himself to stay still for two seconds, his ears flattened and with a loud grunt, he froze the air around him. To the senses, there was a bit of wind from the shifting air temperatre current thing, a tint of blue in a dome that would reach the alley walls, and freezing temperature. If these were normal enough flies at all, then they weren't going to last against Laz's upkeep of the freezing cold.
If any flies flew past and hit the Maelstrom wall, they popped and dissapeared. It was well enough... that wall started to dissipate as well.
"You're going to get us ki--" "STOP SAYING THAT."
