He had triggered her anger. She sat up and swung open the door, storming out. "I know I have a problem! At least I admit it! But saying you don't have a self-esteem problem when every other statement ends with something like 'let alone evening liking me' is bullshit. How do you expect people to like you when you say they don't! When have I even ever said I didn't like you or wouldn't be your friend?!" She growled in frustration her hand running through her hair. "So don't even begin to lecture me about my 'loner' habits. It's the way I've had to deal with s**t all my life so forgive me if I can't break down my wall at the drop of a hat!" She turned and slammed the door, keeping refuge in her room once more.

McKenzie's eyes did turn yellow. "Well I didn't trust you! What kind of impression am I supposed to give to someone I didn't trust?! What kind of impression am I supposed to give someone whose only interactions I ever have are when he's 90% asleep or when I'm ALREADY UPSET and HE'S butting in!!!!" Her eyes glowed in anger and her muscles tensed. The wolf was irritable as well and it was partly because something was off about Michael.

McKenzie growled. "I ******** know that! Your sister was one of the few kind to me! But she also knew when I needed space. She could smell it on me." Smell... what was his smell... very... carnal. A possibility struck in her head, but she didn't show it on her face.
"I'm hoping you'll be the same." It was a very subliminal jab. A test to see if he would react even in the slightest. She watched his eyes especially closely.

McKenzie stood there, watching the door, her mind in a different place. He didn't react. No... of course not, he was too mad to react. He probably won't even realize the jab until later if it all. No, probably not. McKenzie sighed. "He has the same temper as Faith." A sense of sadness tugged at her heart again. Did she ever miss Faith.

McKenzie layed there for a while and had debated going for a walk. She even got up to do so when she remembered what awaited her in the forest. She shuddered at the memory of the wolf and his offer. And so she remained in her bedroom, nixing the idea of a walk all together. I don't want to end up back there by accident.

McKenzie heard the howl and a shiver went down her back and she went pale. Yet a strange flame of longing from the wolf sparked. Her cheeks flushed at the wanted attention. She shook her head in refusal. "No. I refuse. I don't want that." She burried her head under her pillow and tried to ignore the fact that a wolf sat below her window.

McKenzie heard the plea in the wolf language despite the fluffy baracade of the pillow. She growled back out, responding. "No. The seven days aren't over. Leave me be."

"Sorry, I'm not hungry and in no mood to be social. Try again in a few days. I need to get out of here." She sat up and left the room, searching the halls for a location where there were no windows for the wolf to harass her through.
