Lascannon is good, what you could do is drop the autocannon sentinel, which is enough to buy ten power weapons, or a commissar, a power weapon for your officer and either carapace for one of them or a bolt pistol for the commissar. Just some thoughts.

True, though keep in mind that a power fist can be of use against high toughness enemies such as smurfs and Necrons. The thing to keep in mind with wargear for Imperial Guard officers is to not give them too much, they are the frailest of characters in the game, so while some kit is good, too much can be a waste. I am fond of giving the Honorifica Imperialis to a junior officer though, one that will see combat. Macharian Cross is also a nice suprise, especially in games where deployment counts.

Yes, analyze and show us the results, I will make you stronger and able to defeat foes by crushing their skulls underneath your iron tracks.

Mat or wait what about Sactioned Pysker, Honorifica, Force Weapon I've always found the resulting fighter worth the points. Of course he doesn't preform mircles on the battlefield but he provides a very nice counter to nasty multiwound monsters in your lines.

What the ******** knew GW had asshats in employment, but this is baffling. I was reading through the NE section of the Medusa V site where people are building up an army for the conflict. Only the Guard player either doesn't know his army or GW has changed certain rules. His armoured fist squad: I have given the Sergeant a powerfist. And his command squad veteran: Standard Bearer (with Plasma Pistol, Power Sword, Regimental Standard, Honorifica Imperialis) Read it here: http://ne.games-workshop.com/news/sfm/default.asp?army=Vostroyans&unit=HQ&page=1Since when do normal veterans get access to officers kit? Everything checks out, except for the power weapons, which you can't give to normal veteran sergeants and command squad veterans.
