Lady Blodwynn The plastic Nightspinner: And the new plastic Fire Prism: Enjoy! wink Wow, uhh...I didnt think it was POSSIBLE for all my excitement on the new plastic models to be flushed down the toilet sooo easily... Im sorry, but the new Fire prism to me looks ugly as s**t!~ Im a person that loves things being more simplistic/easy. The old prsim model had a easy/functional use to it. That new one looks like a skimmer with a GIANT FAT guy on the back of it hanging over the view. Seriously, how does a Eldar drive it with taht freakn cannon in its face!?! Ugh... http://mittyzx.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/son_i_am_disappoint.gif

Just trim the weapon down to a more manageable length, if possible. : 3 Call it a weapon variant made for fighting in cities or other places where rotating the turret with such a long weapon can cause issues. : 3

I assume "spectacularly long barrel" was t be indicative of weapons power... for radical conversion just cut the barrel at the end of the prism, and as for the vehicle silhouette they went with classic tank design - hull driver, turret weapon - for a skimmer which is quite silly, but hey, it is the realm of sponson tanks, so what did you expect...

It's not the fact that there's a turret, it's the fact that they made the turret almost 3 times the size of the classic turret, even without taking the new barrel size into account.

previous turret was a WW2 bomber top turret compared to this being a tank turret...

And also its atop of that that the new turrent they made look more MODERN than the skimmer pilot area, so now they both look like they are from 2 totally different universes.

The upcoming Fire Prism actually looks a lot like the Scorpion tank, only smaller. I'd say that's a good move, maybe even a hint of what might be coming out later.. wink

Honestly, I probably would go with the Forgeworld one if I ever had the temptation to get one. They changed the chassis along the back, too, added a good 2 inches. I'm of the honest opinion that the Falcon design shouldn't be messed with, it ain't broke.

I don't see anything wrong with the addition to the rear of the chassis. Maybe this is a teaser of the new Falcon kit? The added length and sleeker turret do make for a good model all in all. It also does a better job of making it fit in a bit better with this sleek monstrosity:

Well, I just personally don't think that there's any reason to mess with one of the most visually appealing vehicles GW's got, I don't see why the Falcon kit needs any sort of update.
