My alto mouthpiece broke a few days ago, but thankfully, it made me convince my parents to get me an even better one. Selmer S80 C*. I haven't played on it yet, but from what I've heard, it's really good.

My brand is Selmer (they can never go wrong, but in MA there like really expensize as in florida there only like 50 dollars to rent and 4,000 to buy) and reeds two and one half, rico.

Blue Roses 3 V Octane V I play alto sax and im really good t it, next year im going up to tenor sax and i want a challenge wahmbulance domokun xd well then it should be a real challenge because like our best alto player switched to the tenor and she can hardly get a low note on it and shes been playing the alto for about ehh 3 years now..i had to give her my beginning band book so she could practice the low notes and its sorta funny cuz she used to always talk crap about me not being able to hit middle c on the tenor since she was able to do it just fine on the alto..but now shes in my shoes and knows what im going through trying to hit middle c on the tenor..wats weird is that i sorta did 1 year then skipped a year then came back this year and im sounding great except for my low notes so what ill do is make the whole song an octave higher..my BD hasnt noticed yet..lol... see, it must depend then, cuz i had absolutly no problem switching. it took me about a week (i cldn't hit G when i first got it) but then i could hit pretty much everything. Not low B though, fingrs are to short 3nodding

I play the tenor sax and totally love it! It's so much fun,I get the best of both worlds with high notes and low deep voice.

Woo! Power to the tenors!
Funny story about that, actually...
I used to play clarinet. In fact, I still play clarinet for marching band because I'm too lazy to march with a tenor sax. xD
Anyway, all through middle school, my band teacher tried to get me to play tenor, which I constantly refused.
The first day of high school, I went up to my new band teacher and asked him if he had a tenor I could play. xD
My middle school teacher was pissed! Haha!
But yeah. Tenor sax is AWESOME for pep band songs. =]

Try Vandoren or La Voz those two are pretty easy to find at mos music stores. The problem with LaVoz is that they tend to die pretty quickly. Vandorens are cool but are cut a bit thicker(just a little bit) than standard reeds.
