A look of relief spread over the girl's face as she managed to avoid getting hit by the Dwebble and then shock as it died in front of her. She began to cover it with snow as a burial ground before heading on her way. Who knew what kind of Pokemon were wandering around the area..and she needed to try her best to get off the island as soon as possible.
Well, he no longer had any Pokeballs... but as Alistair watched the Snorunt disappear, he couldn't help feeling satisfied. There was some solid variety amidst his newest acquisitions, and Lucy was getting stronger. As he walked forward to pick the ball up, he found himself distracted by the glittering evolution. Was that... an Icy Rock! That's what Professor Genovese must have meant! It was pretty big and noticeable, so it did make a good landmark for students.
With Lucy's help, he pulled out his camera and took a picture of the Rock before him. Well... that was everything. He looked up the mountain, weighing his options. His new Snorunt aside, his Pokemon weren't great choices when it came to ice and snow. The smartest choice was to retreat back to the forest. He turned, Lucy on his shoulder, and started his way down the mountain.

He was doing his best not to slip as he make his way down the mountain path. Admittedly, Alistair's brisk pace was a bit too quick for the icy path, but he had bigger things on his mind. Even with his new Pokemon, he wanted to complete the mission as quickly as possible.

[ Alistair reached Foggy Forest! ] [ 10/10 non-battle posts counting backwards to reach the dock area at the beginning of the island! ] [ Current status: 10/10 ]
As Alistair continued forward, he would find himself back in a familiar area.
Foggy Forest
As you step off the boat, the sunshine and bright nature of the ocean ends as you enter the woods. Instead shadows loom overhead casting all sorts of forms and shapes throughout the way. Staying on the brown grassy trail would be wise. Odd as it may be, a thick fog begins to creep up rising from the ground to make sight almost impossible. You must trudge along hoping not to get lost. Silence marks the forest except for the sounds as the leaves and sticks crackle beneath your feet. Beware what could be lurking and what illusions this place may hold. The forest holds secrets and you could be its next victim.
The blow was a powerful one. But thanks to building her defenses earlier, the damage wasn't as severe. Shaking it off, she took a stance and began glowing as she worked to strengthen and make her Iron Defense even more powerful! Both defensive and offensive maneuvers were important in battle! Strategy was the key idea!

Alex eyed the Slugma shimmering, trying to bolster its defenses further. "Alright, Focus Punch again!" If it bolstered its defenses too much it would be like the Sudowoodo all over again.
[Understood. I had only stated it on my character profile which I assume isn't the most accessible place.]
The Pansear danced around as if his feet were put on hot coals. In reality, he felt that all over his body. Even if he was a fire-type, he could still feel the intense heat of the flames as they passes over him. As the flames died, he leapt towards his opponent as a few fiery plumes clung to his fur. Mawashi grit his teeth as he jumped behind his opponent and sweeped his leg backward in an arcing Low Kick. He did not like this Heatmor one bit at the moment. It was time to get serious.

The kick was weaker then the last attack. But it did throw off her concentration. She'd have more chances. Her defense was still strong...for right now. Darting down the Slugma would slink forward to avoid the next blow!
Back to the forest Alistair finally stopped shivering as his body adjusted to the slight warmer weather. He didn't particularly like this place, but he was happy to be back-- it meant he was closer to the boat and the Academy. Ducking his head, he pushed his way through the branches.

The first thing Alistair would see, or possibly wouldn't see was that there was a small patch of sunlight shining on a branch above him in a tree nearby. A Budew was peacefully snoring away, oblivious to both human and his Pokemon. He could simply pass by and continue on his journey (or have Lucy add another to her kill list).
It seemed that Hiro's decision had been the correct one. Though it hadn't seemed so from the position by the fork, the right-hand path was quite a bit shorter, enabling him to reach the center of the island much faster than he normally would have.
[Hiro is at 10/10! Which means...]
But was that truly a good thing? For the young trainer now found himself at the largest meteorite yet. Curiously flat and covered with thick vegetation, it floated peacefully before the youth. The area had gone dead silent; if he looked around, Hiro would neither see nor hear a sign of life anywhere. Whatever this place was and whatever resided here, it seemed most Pokemon avoided it.
kreeeeeeeeeeee-zzzt-zzzzzzt-zzZZZZZZZZZT
Perhaps for good reason. From the far end of the field, something would approach. A dark figure lurched jerkily forward, a harsh electric noise emitting from its body. It crawled across the face of the meteorite at a odd, uneven pace. As it approached, it became clear what it was-- a Deoxys, or at least most of a Deoxys. The Legendary seemed to be struggling to hold itself together. Quite literally; at moments, its body would faded and fuzz out in a sharp bit of static before snapping back into reality. But for all the strangeness of its body, its gaze remained focused and unerring on Hiro. The boy had trespassed on its territory, and from the intensity of its stare, it was clear that the Deoxys would bring punishment if it got to close. Glory or safety; which would Hiro chose?
As it was, Alistair was too focused on leaving to see the Budew. No time for distractions or babymurder. He walked quickly past the sleeping grass-type, eyes trained ahead. Lucy, by contrast, did notice the young Pokemon, but had no interest in killing something else... right now.

Nothing so far. As far as Alistair could tell, he hadn't run into anything since he re-entered the forest, and he hoped it stayed that way. It'd be easier, as much as he wanted to train Lucy further.

Hiro's eyes would lock on the pokemon as he would step in front of the Dwebble hiding it from the view of the incoming creature. His eyes widen quite a bit at the sight of such a pokemon.
A Deoxy, a legendary and a pokemon more than worthy to join his team. He almost couldn't help the smirk on his face, until he realized that it was hurt. That the pokemon didn't seem to be completely together, and there was a bit of anger in his own mind at the thought of it.
Who are what could leave a pokemon like this?
No matter, he would step towards it ...giving a signal to his Dwebble to stay back.
"You are hurt, I can help you."
He would tell her despite the fact that he could see the murderous intent it's eyes. He was the type that took no mercy, but he was also the world's greatest trainer. And the world's greatest never looked away from an injured pokemon like this, besides, maybe he could take the pokemon without a fight.
"Focus punch, once more!" Each hit that landed was doing damage. They've been gradually wearing the pokemon down, but it wasn't an uphill battle. Plus, the extra resistance to fire was helping out Pansear.
