Blair was excited about all of the wonders the Professor was announcing. He fought the urge to jump up and down in joy so he just grinned.

"This should be great! Well, if you'll excuse me...I'd like to shower and then sleep. I don't remember sleeping when Pharoah was in control."

He mood changed completely and looked tired and worn in an instant. He smiled at Teagan and nodded at the Professor as he walked off to the boy's locker room near his new dorm room.

"I have an idea." Xavier replied, smiling. "One of our students, Alanna, is currently away. I'm not certain when she will be coming back, but in the mean time, there is an open bed in Gen's room... She is one of the others that became captured during the hound adventure. I think it would be good for you and her to be roommates. You are also on the same team."

He paused. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, any of the teachers, or your new sort of leaders. Penny or Regina."

Jacen let his head hit the side of the elevator in relief that he avoided someone. He didn't like being here. He didn't know why, honestly. Granted, the people had been nothing but nice to him.....they helped him when his own friends wouldn't even lift a finger to even try, yet they....

"This is too ******** confusing," Jacen said as he slouched against the elevator wall, "I need a damn cigarette."

The was a lull in the elevator's movement and soon enough he was in the basement level. Surprising that they let him move this freely without supervision. Of course, there was constant supervision. Xavier had a subtle psychic watch over the entire Institute. The same Xavier that sat at the doors of the elevator, seemingly in wait for Jacen.

"I'm glad you came down without suggestion or trouble," Xavier said.

"...I did it mainly to get away from everyone," Jacen said as he started to walk towards the infirmary.

"About that, I think you could have handled the situation with Kitty a bit better."

"Yea, well......I'm sure the kids are all happy that they have an enemy in their midst, would you not agree?," Jacen retorted, a hint of annoyance in his words.

"Please, son. There is no need to get angry with me," Xavier said, noting somewhat of a change in Jacen's attitude. Normally, Jacen was very respectful of Xavier and his friendship he had with Magneto. Now, he just seemed a bit more on edge, a little bit closer to his breaking point. Not that Xavier was afraid of Jacen. He knew that with a simple thought, he could make Jacen nothing more than a shell of a man.

"I....I'm sorry, Professor. This....sh....stuff that I....that we've been through. It's alot to handle," Jacen said.

"I can imagine."

"Which brings me to the next thing that's been really bothering me about all of this," he asked the Professor, "Why did you send your students to come to help us? Well, I can understand the others, but me?"

"Actually, Jacen. It wasn't my idea at all," the Professor said, allowing Jacen access into the infirmary first. There, Jean and McCoy seemed to have been prepped and ready for Jacen's arrival. "It was Evely....Penance's idea." Xavier was quick to correct his mistake.

Jacen blinked for a second digesting the information he was given. Penance came up with the idea to come 'rescue' them? Is that what she meant by keeping her promise? He remembered her saying something like that before they wound up back at the Institute.

He didn't say anything or flinch even when the two doctors checked his wounds. He was still in deep thought. He stopped being entranced in thought when he noticed Xavier wheeling away. Quickly, Jacen spoke up.

"Hey. Professor. Where exactly did you plan on me sleeping?"

"I'll have one of the younger students show you to the guest room when you head upstairs. That shouldn't be too long, I imagine." Xavier was almost out of the room when he saw Jacen wearing an X-Man training uniform. He grinned as he wheeled down the hall, making note of how natural it looked to see Scion inside of the halls of the Institute.

Sasha laughed as she gulped down her ice cream. "Being the new girl can be hard, I learned that the hard way," she contiued to eat more ice cream, "Sometimes you have to make the first move." She left the spoon in her mouth and shook Victoria's hand. "Also, you may have trouble finding a room. Ask before you enter someone else's. But you can always stay in mine."

She walked out of the kitchen into the living room where Pietro was sitting, watching tv. 'Why do people enjoy being alone all the time', she thought. She went over and sat right next to him. "Want some?" she asked as she licked some off the spoon.

After a while, Gen finally regained conciousness. She still remembered what had happened... And while she felt guilty, she knew it wasn't her fault. She didn't feel like being lectured by Hank who was going from person to person to see if they were alright, or by anyone of the teaching staff.

Slowly she got up and made her way out of the room towards the girls dorms. On the way, Gen saw Teagan aimlessly wandering. "Hey." she coughed, seemed her throat was still a little dry. "Need a hand?"

"Yeah. Are you Gen?" Teagan asked (i hope you don't mind me making small talk with your character for a quick moment)

Gen nodded.

"Great. The Professor said I'm to room with you?" Teagan continued.

"Oh. Yeah." Gen felt a little pang of hurt, wondering if Alanna would ever return. "Alanna had to go for some time with he rfamily.... our room is this way."

Gen led the way to a sparsely furnished bedroom. Holding two twin beds on opposite sides and a pair of desks in the same set up. Twin of everything actually ran in common for the room except for the toilet and sink.

"I haven't been here that long either... So excuse the lack of... anything personalizing." Gen said, noticing Teagan's curios glance around. She grinned a little. "How are you doing through this...? I feel... kinda... empty but at the same time, complete. Is that possible?"

Regina watched as Penny left the room to inform Blair and Teagan of the plans. She mentally counted hte people on her hand.
Teagan, Blair, Gen, Kurt, Rogue, Jamie, Freya, Porter, herself, Penny, that was 10... so there was space for another 5 people. (ugh, brain laps... who else is on our team?)

Victoria instantly better know she wasn't the only new kid that had a hard time getting acclimated. Looking up at Sasha she could tell that what she said came from the heart and Victoria liked that. "Thanks," she said leaving her own spoon in her mouth and shaking Sasha's hand, "Um...I think I allready got a room, it was empty so I claimed it, but thanks again for the offer."

Victoria followed Sasha out of the room and into the expectingly messy living room. It was empty except for a boy just a little bit older then her whom she'd never met before and the ominously glowing television set. She watched amazed as the boy opened the front door, grabbed the take-out, devored half of it plus what was left of Sasha's ice cream. Cerfully catching the box of Chinese that he threw at her she said somewhat mockingly, "Oh, so you're the speed demon everyone's been talking 'bout 'round here."

Rolling her eyes at the speed demon's comment she said voice dripping with sarcasm, "Thank you oh great lord..." She had only gotten that far when the great lord himself shouted at the top of his lungs that he wanted to go shopping before leaving herself and Sasha in his dust. Turning her bewildered head toward Sasha she was about ask what he was going on when the "The Great Lord" returned with a arm load of other kids who all looked just as confused as she did.
