What was this? Was he being lectured. All thoughts left him, and he almost drowned out the entire ball as she continued to speak. Dark was tolerant, but if there was one thing he disliked most was being lecutred, especially by someone he didn't know.

"WAS?" She knew of the WAS, so that meant she wasn't just some citizen. They wouldn't speak of the kind so freely. But what did that mean? Was she WAS or IS? He was given her name, but he was left dumbfounded at the 'I am you'. What the hell was that supposed to mean? Before he could ask she was already walking away. She had paused to look at him, but all he did was give her a cold glare. His blood boiled all the more at the manner she walked away in. "...B itch.." He muttered, never minding if she heard him or not.

"...*Sigh* Now I have a headache.." He whispered to himself, turning towards the direction the female in white had left. She wasn't in his view anymore, but she must still be in the same place. Whether she had been trying to get his attention or not he needed a breather. It was funny..even when someone in the ball was in a bad mood everyone continued on their festivities. Such..was the indifference of every being. He returned the favor, pushing through the many that got between him and the exit. It was there at the gardens that he found the girl again, looking at the night sky.

His eyes strayed the the glittering shards on the ground then to her hand. The red was quickly seen even in the night, tainting her dress. "You are aware that you are bleeding, aren't you?" He asked as he approached her. Without care of his appereance he removed his mask, feeling a sense of freedom from the simple act.

Lexus flicked her head round as she heard someone's voice, her tear filled eyes, facing him for a moment, she realised it was Dark just by his voice, she didn't need to feel his aura...she lowered her head to make its look as if she looked down at her hand, lifting her head suddenly then smiling "uuuh, no guess i got caught in a dazed moment" she sighed slightly, her tone was cheery but fake. she turned her head away from him quickly slipping her hand behind her mask and wiping away the tears, "guess i'm to clumsy" she turned to face him again with a big smile on her face.

"Clumsy, huh?" He looked down upon the shards, watching as some of her blood kept them from shining with the moonlight. I wonder what she's thinking about to not notice her getting cut.. It was a curious question, but not as much as the tone she was using. Her voice didn't reflect her smile; and her eyes, stained with some tears failed to provide support for it either. "Why are you--" He was interrupted.

Sharply he turned and caught someone running into them, his arms instinctively coiling around the person who burst out from the door. She apologized, and Dark blinked as he slowly released her. "..Is there a reason why you are in such a hurry?" He asked the female (Fate). "With that kind of pace you're likely to hurt someone." He took a step back, now putting some distance between both females. What is it with everyone running into me tonight? First it was that rude individual. What was her name...Chela? Then it was the white dressed female he had joined, and now this person. What a night..

Fate looks down. "Im so sorry...uhm you see im not use to being in such a crowded area..." She realizes how stupid she sounds. "Ive always been on my own but in there...so many people.."She looks in hios eyes. "Im sorry you just asked why i was running and here i am rambling on about meanless stuff." She raises her mask. blushing realizing she just exposed the markings on her face. "Im fate its very nice to meet you." She slightly bows her head.

Aeora stood, watching the crowd for a moment. There were no clocks in here that she could see, but she believed that she could be spending a bit too long conversing. She did not want to wait until the end of the ball to fulfill her intentions for tonight, and she was rather looking forward to seeing the end of the sea of honest and fake faces.

Suddenly she caught sight of someone - an apparently important man, judging by his slightly different mannerisms and the sort of mask that he wore. This was her man.

Aeora turned to her conversation companion. "I apologize, I must excuse myself." Pity. She wasn't entirely displeased with the company that she had been presented with. Nevertheless, a human was a human, and this one seemed to have but a few differences with others of his kind, if only an understandable curiousity and polite mannerisms. Not to mention the apparent physical differences. This was rare in an of itself. But still, Aeora had priorities. "Goodbye," she said, turning and walking away, soon becoming enveloped by the merry party-goers.

Even as people passed in front of her, and commotion was all around her, Aeora did not lose sight of her target. When she got slightly closer, she began to walk in a less conspicuous manner so as to blend in better with others around her. Eventually she came to be standing hear to him, and when the people he had been speaking with walked away, she moved closer. They were standing beside a table where drinks were being served, and the man held a glass of wine in his hand.

Aeora noticed his eyes moving over her, and waited for a moment. Any second... "Would you care for a drink, madam?" And there it was. She turned to him, plastering a small on her face. "How kind of you to offer. Yes, I would adore some wine." The man did not seem to be drunk, which may have made Aeora's job easier, but it was no matter. Things would run smoothly. She had to complete this to meet her goals, and nothing would keep her from them.

She accepted the drink when it was handed to her, and the man moved to stand closer to her. He began to make small talk, to which Aeora paid little to no attention, simply smiling and nodding when appropriate. After finishing her glass of wine and setting it upon the table, Aeora moved gracefully in front of the man. They were rather out of the way, and Aeora moved so as to make it look to onlookers as if she and the man were simply talking... closely. "Why don't you and I go somewhere a bit more... private." Aeora crooned her words, lightly tracing the man's ear and collar.

Aeora noted with disgust how his throat looked when he gulped in hesitant desire, though she did not allow this to show in what expression was visible to the man. "Y-yes... that would be n-nice..." This was more than a little easy, though Aeora knew it would turn ugly soon enough. "Good..." she said, and led the man out the nearest door. She softly hooked her arm around his as they made their way outside. They passed by a group of three people - two women, one man - and walked a substantial distance until Aeora was satisfied that they were truly alone.

Luna Thorn ~

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Luna continued down the stairs, opening the door at the bottom and looking out. There was no one in the halls. She grinned and slipped out, shutting the door behind her without a noise. She bent down and swiftly grabbed the daggers from her boots, shoving one in her pocket and holding the other in her right hand. She then proceeded down the hall, in the direction of the room Malice had told her about, dagger in hand, and her footsteps falling silent. She hadn't made a noise and no one would have sensed her presence.

She walked down the hall, a smirk on her face as she finally approached the door to the room Cirus was in. She had only encountered one man on the way. It was a Doctor, someone who had stayed late. Unfortunate soul had his throat slit. He probably never even saw her coming. The thought of his untimely death made her grin, as she didn't care at all about the man, nor did she regret killing him. She would have stopped to drink if she wasn't so focused on the task at hand.

When she reached his door, she turned the handle and opened the door, slipping in quickly and quietly. A man, Cirus, lay on the bed. No one else was in the room. She smirked and gripped her dagger. Moonlight flooded in from the window, casting an eerie glow across the room. She merely ignored it, as it didn't phase her in the least, and advanced towards the seemingly helpless man. Such a pity... she mumbled slightly and quietly to herself, her tone sarcastic. She reached the side of his bed and grinned down at him, her fangs glimmering in the moonlight, and held the dagger at his throat, preparing to slit it. Preparing to kill him. Preparing to complete her task. Although, something nagged at the back of her mind. Why... Why was this so easy?

"Now then... where were we?" Aeora said, looking into his rather repulsive eyes. Though Aeora found most things about the man repulsive, despite his more than adequate physique. It was simply something she had to bear, for the moment. Aeora laid her hands on the man's neck, and in turn he laid his around her waist. They were secluded enough behind a large hedge on the outskirts of the maze. But even this location did not satisfy Aeora. They were too close to people who could possibly intrude.

She kissed the man once, then began to pull him further into the maze. He eagerly complied. Aeora noted where all her weapons were. She had purposefully worn her knife-producing gloves underneath a pair of dress gloves, and had each of her daggers strapped to each of her thighs.

They now came to be deep in the maze, and Aeora was satisfied with the place of her choosing. She smiled, and the man no doubt thought it was at him, for he returned it before kissing her passionately once more. Aeora was thoroughly entrancing him, and seemed to be playing her part in this little play rather well, for he pressed her against him and began moving his hands up and down her legs...

Aeora's eyes widened. No, my dagg- Her thought was cut short, for the man ran his hands over where she had one of her precious daggers stowed. He hesitated, not entirely understanding what was happening, before he pushed himself away from Aeora, spitting out a curse. "You... you are a..." He wiped his mouth, stumbling backwards. Aeora stood her ground. "Assass-" The man shouted, but did not get to finish, for Aeora quickly moved towards him, covering his mouth with her hand.

"Don't you like to play rough?" Aeora whispered in his ear. With the hand that wasn't covering his mouth, Aeora activated the glove that held small knives attatched to its fingers. They sliced through the fingertips of her dress glove, and Aeora swiftly made a move to slice the man's throat.

But he was well-trained as a official of WillBe, and moved backwards, so the knives merely made lacerations directly below his neck. Not deep enough to do any serious damage, though it was no doubt painful and the blood he shed as a result was proof. He was in shock for a moment, and Aeora swiftly moved forward again, attempting another slash.

This time the man recovered soon enough to deflect Aeora's knives with his own weapon - a sword that he drew from his waist belt. Not a truely useful weapon, Aeora noted, but one meant mainly as decoration. "Who are you?" the man spat out, attempting to push back once again from the conflict, but running out of room he hit the other side of the maze's hedges.

Aeora retracted her fingertip knives and, pulling out both of her daggers, said, "My name is Aeora - the Exile of the Dier." She believed in honoring the dead - or the soon to be, as the case was. As such, she allowed that brief moment to exchange pleasantries before appearing to vanish in midair.

She had disintegrated herself, using her power known in her species' tongue as Videre, and momentarily played the part of the omnipresent deity watching its prey staring at air in confusion. He could not comprehend what just happened, no doubt. He stepped forward, looking everywhere in what could only be described as an unprepared terror. For how could you fight an enemy you could not even touch? Of course, in this form, Aeora could not touch him either. She could simply sneak up on him, moving through him, and reposition herself behind him.

Thus he was taken off guard when Aeora reappeared behind him, her knives held out in front of her and in fact, in front of him. Both of her daggers were pointed at his chest, Aeora around him, holding his despicable body in a deathly embrace. He attempted to raise his sword, but it was too late. Aeora dug her daggers into his heart, deeply piercing him. She twisted the daggers, her face holding no expression - neither regret, hesitation, or pleasure graced her masked features.

She released her hold on her daggers and moved through the dying man before his blood could stain her. Aeora passed him and turned around as he collapsed to his knees, his mask falling to the floor, his eyes staring at her in astonishment. Aeora leaned down, it seemed to say some sort of words to him or to perhaps hear his last, though she did no such thing. She pulled her daggers out of his chest and waited for him to die.

It would not take long.

He could only chuckle towards lady's reaction. His reaction when he came to the ball was no different, but Chela had been the stimuli for his quick departure since she had irked him more than the crowd had. He scanned the eyes behind her mask as she spoke, neverminding her idle talk. When one was so nervous it came into nature so he understood so much. How cute, that it is.. He thought further while she moved her mask. But her markings quickly threw him aback, and his faced showed it as his expression turned to surprise.

She couldn't have been a citizen of WillBe could she? No. She wasn't an IS..WAS? No. Otherwise she wouldn't be so frantic. There was no hostility around her, so he didn't feel threatened. As he continued to stare at her his eyes strayed at the markings of her face. Unique, and he's never seen such a thing before. He had the urge to trace the design as if it would reveal its knowledge of its meaning to him, but that would mean physical contact, and that would be unacceptable. She had a lovely face, he would admit that much.

"Notare. Notare Alname." It was a false name, one that he used commonly about. Though she revealed herself and name it didn't mean that he should stray away from the fact that maybe WAS were attending the ball, and he couldn't allow himself to fall in any such trap. "It's nice to meet you too, Fate." He said, turning back to the white-dressed female. (Lexus) "And as for you," He added, removing the headband around his forehead and hanging on his shoulder for a while, causing his hair to fall heavily over his eyes but not enough to cover them completely. "Can I see your hand?" He requested, lifting a hand. "We have to get rid of any shards that might have found way in."

"You see, Fate, this girl had cut herself somehow with the glass..so you might want to be careful with the shards on the ground." Everyone wore some sort of foot accessory but a warning never hurt. He even warned a couple that passed them - a lady in a red dress, and a nervous-looking man. Without meaning to he eyed at the couple as they left the Masquerade, his free hand idly scratching at his temple. It's a little early to leave, isn't it? Or maybe she's planning on seducing the man. It would make sense, since he seems nervous. I didn't a good look of her, but the way her dress clings to her it looks like a nice catch.

The thought bothered him, since it made him sound like an adolescent boy. But he ignored it as the couple became nothing more than silhouettes in the night, and brought his attention back to Fate and his first companion.

Aeora's prey fell forward, his face kissing the cold ground as he breathed his last. Aeora looked at him in silence, watching his blood pool. She would not apologize, she would not gloat. She did, however, kneel down beside him, her fingers feeling his pulse.
He was fading quickly.

She looked once again at the blood, and a twinge of desire nibbled at the corner of her mind. The Dier had a bloodlust similar to vampires, which was cursed on their ancestors when they recieved immortality, though the Dier had to feed much less often and in smaller amounts than vampires. Feasting on blood also... changed anyone who fed too often. Back in Aeora's clan, they knew this condition well. The clansperson would submit to their bloodlust and, upon feeding too much for too long, would begin to hear voices. This would grow as the bloodlust itself grew until the Dier was utterly useless, overcome with insanity.

The clan knew such people as weak. Submitting to their curse, their desires, they were worthless and would promptly be disposed of so as to not taint the rest of the clan. This happened rarely, though Aeora had kept some of those lessons with her, and so she restrained herself from feeding at the present time.

She noticed as his pulse died. The man took his final breath, and then it was finished. Aeora sighed softly as she placed one of her hands on the back of the man's neck. Taking other beings with her when she used Videre could sometimes be complicated, though it would certainly be easier with a dead body. This was why Aeora had waited till the man died.

There was a moment of silence, and then both woman and corpse were gone, seemingly disappearing into the night. Only a small amount of blood was left over as the only trace that they had been there at all.

Aeora and her prey reappeared deep within the forest, in a secluded area where she had previously had a servant to the WAS dig a grave. The corpse was laid beside his final unmarked resting place, and Aeora pushed him in with her foot. She noticed she still had the damned shoes on, and promptly took them off and threw them in the hole with the body.

"Ridiculous things..." she muttered as she turned to the shovel and pile of dirt left over. Quickly she filled the hole in, without much real effort. It only took her a moment, and then Aeora stood back and looked at the grave. It would have to suffice. No one else knew the exact location, besides Aeora and the nameless subordinate who had played the part of gravedigger.

"And so the deed is done," she whispered to herself and the trees, who remained silent. Not even the wind spoke out, let alone the animals who had long since lost their voice around her. "Perhaps I should consider myself one of them now. A WAS. Fitting enough..." The exile, consumed by what she used to be.

Aeora turned and walked away to the WAS village, where she would no doubt change into her regular attire and then go once more into the forest to meditate. This meditation period would no doubt take a while, as Aeora had many things to contemplate.

She did not want to use Videre again, instead preferring the long walk of someone who has accepted their fate.

Or perhaps she was just beginning to shape it.

Harry adjusted his tie in the mirror. Fixing his hat and mask so they weren't uncomfortable, he checked himself out in the mirror. The tux and mask seemed to balance each other out. He was looking good. A small demon perched on the edge of his dresser. "So you are dressing up for someone? She must be rather special." Flipping him off Harry continued to preen. "You just wouldn't understand. Now, if you will excuse me." Tipping his hat he swept out the door. "I have a girl to meet. Teleport." -poof-

'Challenge everything and never give up your rebellious nature.'
≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎

Rose smiled at both Zero and Dark, happy that they were both coming. Soon after, she left the both of them to quickly run to her house and change into the dress she would be wearing. She got the dress from the closet, slipping into it and managing to get the zipper in the back without too much trouble. Rose smoothed her hands over the dress as she stood in front of the mirror, making sure each piece of fabric fell the way she wanted it too. She grabbed her mask from the top of the dresser, the mask something she had just recently gotten on her way to the house. The dress she'd had before coming to WillBe last year, the mask she'd had too buy as she had had no need for one in the past.

Rose frowned as she looked at her long dark hair, wondering what in the world she was going to do with it. After a few moments thought, she decided that she'd twist it up into a bun, letting some pieces fall loosely from the rest. Satisfied with how she looked, she put on her mask and her shoes, leaving the house in a hurry. She'd known the Masquerade had started a little while ago but she wasn't exactly worried about her late arrival, more likely than not, she'd probably end up leaving a little early. Crowds were always hard on her being telepathic, but she put up with them without complaint. She hated to complain to anyone, even is she were seriously hurt, it was something that was in nature: don't whine and complain.

Rose walked into the building that was crowded with the town's people. She saw couple's dancing, people talking, others walking around with trays of drinks and such in their hands. She walked around the edge of the room, trying to find a familiar face, which was actually quite difficult to do with everyone wearing masks. She stopped and shrugged thinking, If you're telepathic, why not use it? She searched for either Zero or Dark. After a little while she found Dark to be outside, she couldn't find Zero so she assumed that he hadn't arrived yet. He'll probably find one of us, he's good at doing that, she thought to herself as she walked for the doors that led to outside, grabbing a drink from a passing tray on her way there. As she neared the doors she sensed that Dark was not alone out there. She'd actually recognized one, or she kind of did. She never actually seen her face(Lexus) she had only sensed her presence down in the tunnels and it was only for a short time. Rose also saw another there(Fate), but she didn't think she had ever seen her before around WillBe. As she got closer to the group, she saw that the girl had strange markings on her face. She wondered how she'd gotten them or what they were for, but wasn't really curious enough to ask. "Everyone enjoying themselves?" she asked them all with a smile, as she slowly put the glass to her lips and took a small sip before puttting the glass back down to where the hand that held it was level with her waist. She didn't really like whatever the drink is, but nonetheless she kept it anyway as she looked at the small group.

Cirus

Quietly resting, Cirus appeared oblivious to his impending doom at hands of Luna until,"Forte!"
The supposedly comatose ringmaster yelled as his eyes shot open, and an arm hidden beneath the sheets shot up to clamp around the assassin's neck and start squeezing with a force that could turn human bones to powder. His other hand reached for the blade that was at his throat. Had Luna tried to kill him when she realized he was awake, she would have quickly realized that the knife seemed to not have enough force behind it to cut into the man's neck.
"I bet you thought your tune well played, vamp baby, but dj Disc heard that beat before. You'll have to mix a new record if you wanna slam with me," the fake Cirus said as he revealed himself to be the Universal Listener Disc, another IS member. If Luna didn't get out of the situation, Disc appeared capable of breaking her neck in his hand. The smirk the guy had used Cirus's face, but it was uncharacteristic of the ringmaster to have such an expression.

Zero

Zero, although wearing the first mask he could find and also deciding to change into a tuxedo to hide his features, he was being swarmed by young girls and older women alike, the curse of being a young demphyr, he was so awesome looking. That was what made him get lost, the fact he could see past all of these people. "H-hey, let go of me!" Zero complained as he tried to continue his cool stride. "Rosie, Dark, anybody that I know at all?" Zero called out to nobody really. He jumped above the crowd and repositioned his mask. "Just my luck..." Zero stood up and dusted off his tuxedo, from this point he'd use his real name, Issac, until the masquerade was over to see if anybody noted him.
