After MGS3 I had the unfortunate problem that I measured all story and cutscenes up to Metal Gear's high standards. Not a good thing, as it leads to many disappointments.
What do you mean?
Cutscenes were long and well made, so i was expecting something similar from all high level games.
Well games are like moives you don't go into them with high expections otherwise they will probably never be good.

I can forgive the MGS because at least its intersting and slightly interactive.

Well I think we all perfer to be able to see around us.

lol I don't have a problem with cut scenes, I have a problem if a game is lacking in cut scenes. ^_^

Yeah, indeed.
So you have a problem with resident evil 1? You have to admit there aren't many.

No, Not really. I enjoyed the first RE just fine. I just prefer that other games have enjoyable cutscenes, like I said before, I don't play many games, and if i don't like the cut scenes, chances are I'm not gonna like the game.

Resident Evil though is different because it's not the cutscenes I like most about it, it's the back ground story to the game. Other games just can't really measure up to RE I don't believe, though Metal Gear Solid being an exception. I'm also picky about games I play too.
I don't think its a really good to be picky with games otherwise you may miss out on one that may have been really enjoyable.

No not really, I don't like many concept of games that float around out there these days, not something that interests me much.

I'm sure I talked about this before. Games such as Fable, Mass Effect, Gears of War, uhm...These Call of Duty games and what not, not really types of games that interest me. Like I said, it takes a special kind of game for me to like it.

Now I like zombie games, and the zombie stages on the call of duty games are pretty fun to do, but I'm not a big fan of the actual story of the game, or anything else like that. Not many games that people acclaim and enjoy so much interest me.

Ah of course.

But I am very selective with the games I buy so I usually know what to expect from a game. Last one I was disappointed by was Red Dead Redemption. I'm sure the story was great but the begging just wasn't engaging for me.

I don't have RDR I have Undead Nightmare though. But what do you mean "Begging?" I liked it when there was video game rentals aside form like Netflicks. Places like Movie Gallery and Good Times Video. Because I'd be able to play the game before I bought it.

I would but I'm too busy with Dragon Age 2, Fallout: New Vegas and Mass Effect 2.

Both of those are American RPGs made by Bioware.
