Lin had to laugh at that even though Miyuki was fussing (mewing?) at being squished between the two women.
"All right," she laughed softly, "I'll be waiting then."
And hoping for the best.

Rhea giggled softly and gave her one last hug. "Until we meet again then," she smiled. Then she flitted over to her parents and hugged them one last time before she hurried over to Skyel and climbed up onto the roc's back. With a few wingbeats, they were in the air - and gone.
Earendil watched until they were out of sight, putting one hand to his brow to shield his eyes from the sunlight.
"It starts," he murmured softly, a little sadly.

Lin nodded at this looking up at the sky for a moment before looking at him.
"It'll be okay," she murmured softly, "Between all of them, I'm sure they'll come up with something."
For a small group they were quite the power house of knowledge and strength.

Earendil smiled faintly and looked back at Lin. "I hope so," he murmured softly. "But I'm still going to worry until we hear from them again."
He put one hand on her shoulder. "Come on, let's go talk to Ulani about clothes for Miyuki."

Looking up at Earendil, Lin nodded at this. Though she was sure they would hear from them again, and once they did things were going to get interesting.
Not like they weren't already.
"Let's go," Lin motioned turning heel and heading to Ulani and Ulrich's home.

Earendil smiled and walked along with Lin. When they knocked on the door, it was Ulrich who opened to them.
"Ah, Lin, Earendil and Miyuki!" he beamed, opening the door wide. "Come on in!"

Stepping in, Lin deemed it safe to set Miyuki down. Letting Miyuki shed the blanket that was covering her.
"Hi Ulrich," Lin grinned, "Is Ulani in?"

"Indeed she is!" Ulrich grinned, stepping aside and closing the door behind them once they were in. He motioned for them to make themselves comfortable.
"Hello," Ulani smiled at them from where she sat near the fireplace. She was in one of the chairs, and across from her was Jasmine. Between them was a chessboard, and the two of them were in the middle of a game. "Long time no see. I hear you had a lovely time in the Eastland, though."
Earendil smiled. "We certainly did. Hello, Ulani, hello Jasmine."
Jasmine smiled shyly, but she waved a little hello.

"Very much so," Lin smiled waving at Jasmine.
She hadn't met Jasmine all that much but knew very well how shy she was. Which was a complete opposite from River.
Miyuki toted over to the two women to see what they were doing. She couldn't quite see as the table was taller than she was, but she looked up and tried anyways. One finger hooked in her mouth and the other hand, it was hiding under the long sleeve.
"Ulani, I don't suppose you have any old children clothes?"

Ulani looked thoughtful as Jasmine moved a piece. "Well ... I may have some of River's old clothes in storage ... I guess you're looking for winter clothes in particular?"
She moved a piece on the board. "That means you're staying for winter then?"

Lin nodded at this, "Yes, I will be, but then I have to head back after winter is over. Miyuki will need new clothes, and I don't have much to keep someone in her age group busy..."
And Lin had a funny feeling that if she was going to let Miyuki run outside, she was going to need a harness like the one that Triton used because she could see Miyuki running off.
Not that Miyuki was doing any running at the moment she was far too interested in what Ulani and Jasmine were doing. Looking back and forth between the two.

Ulani smiled. "Well, perhaps we can find something," she murmured, rising from her seat. "Ulrich, if you wouldn't mind?"
Ulrich raised one eyebrow. "You know I'm going to lose."
Ulani laughed. "I'm winning so far, I'll take what I can."
Ulrich smiled and took Ulani's seat to continue her game against their greatgranddaughter.
Ulani motioned for Lin to take Miyuki and follow her. "This way," she smiled. "I keep most of the old clothes and such in Aliya's old room."

Taking Miyuki's hand, Lin gently tugged the little girl to get her going in the right direction, "Come on, let's get you some clothes that fit right?"
Miyuki looked up, she didn't quite get it, but she understood they were going to go somewhere so she ran holding Lin's hand, to Earendil. To hold his hand with her free hand.

Earendil blinked, but he smiled awkwardly at Lin. "I ... guess it looks like I'm coming along," he said, surprised.
Though perhaps he shouldn't have been.
Ulani cracked up. "That's got to be just about the cutest thing I've ever seen!" she laughed.

"She loves you," Lin giggled as she led Miyuki who led Earendil along to follow.
She had not expected that, but on the other hand she knew that Miyuki's attachment to Earendil was just growing.
