"Just let me give you everything, as I desire..." Jessie smiled dreamily as he watched her carefully - ever so carefully - pull the wrapping apart. Somehow he'd known this was how she'd treat it; with such meticulous attention. It was just the endearing behaviour he'd come to expect. Still, that didn't stop a little trepidation - a little panic, even - bouncing around inside him. He leaned closer to her, looking down at her hands as they worked. Her hair grazed his cheek, and he turned his head in towards her. This close, if he breathed in deeply enough, he was sure he could smell her hair...
She turned to him and he drew back, mirroring her smile. "I'm so glad, Coline."
The embarrassment that twisted her face was nothing compared to his own, though. The drow blushed fiercely at her inquiry, and didn't know quite what to say. It hadn't been his intention for her to... yah, did he feel like an old pervert, even moreso than back in the shop. All he'd thought about was giving her something nice... how naive! He should've seen this coming!
"It's - I mean, I didn't want you to..." he fumbled, glancing down at the dress in her hands. It was a fine dress. She'd look... radiant, he knew it. "But... I suppose, if you wanted to try it on... we had to guess on the size... the shopkeeper and I, that is."
Still blushing, he leapt abruptly to his feet and marched outside, shutting the door behind him. "I'll - just call me when you're ready."
"...And believe me when I say that I love you."

Do I contol the blades in my hands? "There is something in the jungle, something... dangerous. "I know its scent, I know its sound.... Something I encountered a long time ago." He looked around at the few people still walking the halls in the orange sunlight, all looking as they passed, but never inquiring. He stood over Lorika, A fair bit, and his armor and wide frame seemed to dwarf her. He took her hand. "I promise that you and these people will be safe."
Or do they control me? [[[He did ask to be called Storm, btw.]]] xp

Be good...
Lorika wasn't sure what to make of this. A threat...?
"I... something dangerous?" she blinked up at him. "Maybe I should come and help you investigate. We should call on Jessie, too... if it's something that will want to harm us, I'm sure he'll be able to keep it at bay."
...and you will be lonesome.

Do I contol the blades in my hands? A silent, invisible bolt of Lightning struck him, coursing through his veins like liquid fire. He could see Pain, and bloodshed. He saw his home, burning, everyone dead, then the view panned out, and the sword coast was red, and the shore was bright, aflame. The lightning subsided, and it fell to a dull throbbing in the back of his head. "T-this is a monster," he started to say, the memory of that pain washing him down. "A monster of death.." Or is that you? A voice, deep and resonating sounded in his head, something familiar, yet he knew he had never heard it before in his life. that is pain you can inflict, glory to be had! "N-no, miss L-lorika, I think this is something I should see to on my own. "If I am not back by the time evening Mass is over, send for me. "...I will be back. I promise." With that he stalked out of the now empty temple halls, through the courtyard, and into the jungle. It was very dim now, a pail orange glow now glimmering and dying. He was glad of his half-elven lineage at that point, seeing the heat in the jungle as well as he could see the light. it was a silent menace, whatever it was he was looking for. He padded lightly, not betraying his presence in the dense underbrush, searching. His father's sword in his hand, he walked forward, South, towards where the roar had come from, not twenty minutes ago.
Or do they control me?

I am gone from my home, my world... Grawn was overcome with this bloodthirst. his sword was sheathed, preventing it's fire from letting the predator's position away. He felt him before seeing or hearing him. A familiar presence was close by, something he had seen before... smelled before... tasted before. A small growl escaped his lips as he turned mid stride, feeling out his quarry in the jungle. This was a smart piece of meat; it was playing by all the right rules. Each one of them was equally the hunted and the hunter, neither knowing exactly what it was they were hunting. But they did know they knew it. An unmistakable scent of leather, both supple and hardened, filled the Rakshasa's nostrils. Steel, brass.... flesh. It was close now, his prey. he wound between the trees and dense underbrush, the fading orange barely lighting hi path, making it impossible for him to be completely silent. He saw the man-beast. What could be taken as a smile spread across his face. A couple of feet from his paws was a tall ledge, the length of a man high, that fell directly into a small clearing in the brush. His Sword was free of his scabbard, the white-hot flame flaring up into the evening air, And Gwarn took off at a sprint, a ferocious call to some forgotten god sung from his lips, and he flew through the air at his opponent.
[Signature Strike]
He sailed for at least a couple dozen meters towards his target, both hands on his greatsword, high above his head, ready to come crashing down.
But it is really gone from me?

It was a little difficult to see considering how dark it was inside his bedroom, but was that a blush she saw just now? Her eyes followed as he sat up all of a sudden and made for the door, speaking only once he had stepped out. She blinked, lips shifting to accommodate a hushed giggle. Coline hadn't expected him to act so flustered! It was endearing, she thought, and more importantly it served as her go-signal. She rose to her feet, casting a wary glance over to the door before proceeding to undress herself.
She started by unclasping her shoulder guard and was suddenly reminded of how useful something like this was for her. If it hadn't been for this she might have completely wrecked her shoulder when she attempted to break the Armory door down the night before, a feat she still found astounding. Had she really been that strong? Neatly placing the shoulder guard onto the bed, she went on to slide off her robe, then her top, her shorts, all the way down to her... socks.
It was at that time that she realized her leg, although already healed by the Priestess many hours ago, had still been bandaged. Memories of the events in the cave started to flood her mind again. Everything... just made no sense. Where could he possibly have gone in such a short span of time? Coline let out a soft sigh. This wasn't the time to be thinking about things. Jessie was right outside and it would be rude of her to keep him waiting.
Eventually all her clothes--with the exception of her underwear, of course--were neatly spread out on the bed as if on display, and the plain white box that housed the dress now sat empty just beside them. The feel of the silk on her skin was just... incredible, to say the least! And it really was beautiful; she wasn't able to get a good look earlier on, but now that she had... And it was just the right size too! A light blush crept up her cheeks. Had he been paying such close attention to her all this time?
With light feet the recruit paced towards a small distance directly facing the door and fiddled with her hair nervously. She'd never expected to present herself like this again, but if it made Jessie happy... Straightening herself, hands neatly hung down and clasped together in front of her, the girl cleared her throat. Mustering every ounce of courage, she called out to him. "Y-You can come in now!"
Coline greeted the creak of the door with a low bow, words rolling out of her tongue with practiced elegance. "Good evening, good sir," she began, raising her head back up to meet the drow's gaze with her own honeyed expression. "To whom do I owe the great pleasure of your visit?" She remained in that dignified stance for a few lingering moments before her shoulders relaxed and her face shifted back to its usual worried state. "I-I'm sorry, does it look okay?" she fidgeted, eyes darting back down to the dress as she held one end of the skirt out with her fingers. "It's been years since I last wore something like this. I'm not even sure if I'm wearing it properly..."

"Just let me give you everything, as I desire..." The drow waited outside the door to his bedroom, anxious. It was impossible to accept that in fact the true ordeal was over - that she'd accepted his gift. Another ordeal had gone and snuck up on him, though Jessie appreciated that this was hardly a situation most men would call an ordeal. It was just that the bedroom thing; what she'd thought about the "gift" before he brought it out; Ruby's reaction in the shop... It was all rather unsettling. He didn't think of Coline in that way.
...
Did he?
Her voice through the door brought him back to Gaia with a thump. He was staring at the grain of the wood, eyes unfocused. With a sigh, he pulled the door open and stepped through... only to stop again.
Breath left his body. He was breathless. Her little interlude of silliness washed over him as he blinked like a startled rabbit.
"You," he whispered - breathed, choked - a smile slowly making its way across his features. "Are astounding."
Sweeping forward, he scooped her up and whirled her around, laughing. Then, setting her back down, his lips found her throat, and his hands somehow found their own way around her waist, and up her sides, and across her back. Seeing had been too much. It was unreal, seeing her so radiant in the moonlight. This was real.
Human hands find themselves overwhelmed by silk. Nothing exists beneath the slinky layer of shining fabric. Not for Jessie. His hands could feel right through the thin material much better than normal, coarser, rougher material. The dual sensation of the skin and the silk was like... it was -
...
Okay, maybe he did think of her in that way. Or could, anyway. When he was provoked.
"...And believe me when I say that I love you."

Coline yelped as her feet left the ground. She hadn't anticipated that strong a reaction, to be honest, and she questioned herself for a moment if that small introduction was really necessary. But did it really matter? Hearing Jessie's sweet laughter was enough to tell her that she'd done something right. He was happy. She was happy. It made her smile.
The recruit let out a sigh of relief as he set her back down, only to tense up again upon feeling his lips brush against her neck. She was resigned to thinking it was just by accident, but he went on; his lips trailed along her neck, her jaw, her collar, and she could feel his hands roam across her back. Her cheeks were starting to gather heat again. It was a... very strange sensation.
She opened her mouth to speak but could only manage a hoarse breath. Her eyes widened at this. This... was bad. Very bad. She had to say something before things got out of hand. "...Captain?" she finally said after much struggle, a certain shakiness in her voice. "W-What are you doing?"

"I said he appears to be. But if he is, he has lost his powers, and his memory. He is like a child, often petty, running at the first sign of trouble, certain he is right. Adorable like a little kid too. Kinda makes me wanna punt him down some stairs." She laughed. "I'm obviously kidding about the last part. Well, I do, but that has nothing to do with his child-like being." ((WTF? When ever I go to Panda express, they always give me really big portions of what I order, bigger than anyone else's.)))
