Well, I haven't ever experienced hand-to-hand style ever in writing, however the zanpakuto in mind is a glove/gauntlet with electricity so maybe I could learn to use hand-to-hand from a member of squad 7, or go with the element foundation and go to squad 10, but I want to know what the other squads are really before deciding.

Well squad 1 focuses on dueling which has basically pure zanpakuto
squad 2 is for if you character likes being a ninja
squad 3 is for the character that likes a fast paced rush style of fight
squad 4 are the healers
squad 5 focuses on the long range drawn out style of combat (My squad)
Squad 6 is for the character who likes coming up with clever ways to fight
squad 7 likes to punch and kick things
squad 8 and squad 9 are more the all around squads
squad 10 is for if you have an elemental zanpakuto
squad 11 is for the physical zanpakuto and the breserkers!!!
squad 12 is for people who like to bring inventions into combat
squad 13 can also be considered an all around squad
