Ellie suddenly hugged Travis. "As soon as you finish, you better come see us!" Then she let go of him and said, "I'm really going to miss you."
Karla didn't say anything, hoping she would not to break into tears or anything.

Karla let go of Travis, but not before lightly kissing him on the cheek. She had nothing more to say, other than 'I love you'. But she wasn't sure if she should say it.
Ellie stayed silent, not sure what else to say now.
