Charlie almost rolled his eyes as he lowered his head, letting go on the cub in his mouth, then placing a paw on her so she wouldn't move away from him. "Gee, Io. This anyway to treat your 'cousin'? It's me, Charlie? Ya know the cub that Trin's taken care of?" He said, watching them carefuly. He was raised among them, for the most part, but didn't expect to be accepted.
He wasn't even accepted by most of his people, why should he be accepted by people who hated them?

"It's okay." She said, glancing over at Shiva before stepping forward. "Well excuse me if big blue and furry tends to look alike. And since when have you had cubs?" She asked motioning to the cub he was stepping on. She didn't look very happy about that fact.

Charlie rolled his eyes, he wasn't stepping on the cub hard enough to hurt her, just keep her from running off. "They aren't mine. They aren't anyone's right now...." He said, picking the cub up again and walking towards Io, offering her the cub to hold.

She blinked, taking the wriggling cub and holding her up, scowling slightly. "And what are we supposed to do with them? You might not have noticed, but we haven't had many GOOD experiences with Rade."
The cub paused, giving her a dark look. "You're not so great, neither, lady." She muttered, her tails twitching.

Shiva took a half-step back. Not out of fear...especially not from such a young group...but more from anger and disgust. She hadn't known Io fraternized with the Rade, let alone was on a first name basis. And now it was offering her one of the offspring as a prize? What did it expect her to do with it? Put it out of its misery?
She said nothing, but the look in her eyes was clear as any words spoken could be.

Charlie kept offering cubs aorund, it made it easier on him. "Careful with that one, Io. She's... bouncy." He smirked lightly at the cub, then to them. "They need homes. Their parents rebbled against Baron, and I bet you can figure out what happened to them. And nows a chance to start having a "good experence" with them." He frowned at that last part.
"We need to get them outta here, it's not safe for them." He said softly, looking at the kids.

As if they'd be safer with them? She almost laughed at the thought. When he looked her way, she stepped back, folding her arms. *That is not my problem that you cannot care for them. Leave them here, or out in the forest, or foster them off somewhere else.* she knew he couldn't hear her. She didn't care.

Io rolled her eyes, cursing inwardly as she brought the cub up to eye view. "They might be cub now, Chuck, but they'll grow to be killers soon enough." She glanced at him, as if not quite disregarding that for him, as well.
"I'm a killer!! I'm a tough, mean, biiiiig time killer!!" The cub she was holding growled, her back legs kicking in the air. Io raised an eyebrow, a blade appearing in her hand as if by magic, touching the throat of the cub as she held her one-handed. The cub eeped and clenched her eyes closed tightly.
"We won't kill them. But you'll have to come with us to home camp. Ice will decide what to do with them." Io said, reluctantly, knowing both Shi and Nika weren't going to be comfortable with this. Heck, SHE wasn't comfortable with this. She glanced over at Shiva. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, Shi. You're the one that taught me that saying, long long ago.

I should have also told you that the only good rade is a dead one. she ansewered sourly.
Bring them back? Into camp? where their children were? Was she NUTS?

Charlie growled lightly at Io for the sword move she did, his tails twitching lightly. "I would like it if you didn't treate children like that, Io. They aren't like the Rade you know." Not yet, atleast, and he wasn't going to LET them get that way.
"I didn't treate any of you that way when you were being dug up. I was with Trin, helping her pull you out of the ground." He said, looking pointedly at the other girl, the one who seemed really un happy with him being around.

The cub opened one eye, slowly, breathing again when she realized the knife was gone. "I could take you!" She announced, brashly. "I'll take ALL of you! With one paw behind my back!"
"I'm surprised this one has lasted as long as she has." Io said dryly. "But let's get this over with." She muttred, carrying the cub like a baby, as if daring her to bite. "Does Trin know about this?" She asked as she started walking.
((Think we should wait for Gee to catch up?))

*You can't seriously be considering taking these Rade back to camp?* she said, although it was quite clear that was the intent. *You will be exposing the younger ones to them.*
She stared at the rade angrily *You were with our founder? Fine. That doesn't mean that one act of kindness negates the rest of what has been done by your kind.* Again, she knew he couldn't hear her. But damned if she wasn't going to say it and make her position clear at least to Io.

Charlie gave the other girl a dark look. If she was going to look at him that way, he might as well return it. They were killing his kind after all.
Of course, his kind were the idiots who attacked but they only did that because Baron told them too. His tails flicked angerly as he started to lead them out of the ruins. "No, Mom doesn't know yet seeing how I just found them. Unlike the rest of you, I don't have a telepathic bond with my gaurdian." He told Io, keeping his voice low.
He glanced at the cubs, makeing sure were all ok then once more at Shiva. She hated him... and she was a fighter. He need to work on his fighting skills, though fighting one of them would be different than fighting one of his kind. It would at least be worth it. And since she hated Rade, he'd rather she take that hate out on him, rather than the cubs.
Ha, yeah right, like she'd want to even teach him! He smirked at himself for being such an idiot to even think that.
((and now i shall wait with the other for gee ^^))

((Sorry. xDD Family's big on celebrating Easter. ^_^ ))
Nika stood where he was, stunned when Charlie offered him a cub and then he reached out and slowly took it from him. He was amazed that he could hold something that would someday grow to be the size of a house and he held it out at arm's length, staring at it blankly.
He would never admit it aloud, for fear of upsetting Shiva, but when they were cubs, the Rade were almost cute.
'Come on Shi,' he said, smiling warmly at her without taking his cautious eyes off of the cub in his hands, immensely unsure and uncomfortable, 'I know that you would rather see them dead... and Baron will kill them if we don't take them back to camp. The fate of these cubs rests in our hands. Before, Light decided our fate for us when she trapped us in these masks. We have recieved a second chance. Perhaps, these cubs deserve a fair trial?'
He glanced at Io and sighed, 'If we're going to make it out of here without being caught the cubs are going to have to be quiet.'
((I had that hardest time trying to explain and phrase that and I still don't think it came out right... but Nika was determined to say it, although I think I mucked it up.))

He didn't know how to call to him or ask him for help, so he started following him. he stopped in his tracks and glanced back. "may i help you? or are you going to attack me again? well if you can understand me anyway... can you write or lip read or something? ive seen the others comunitcate. im guessing yuo all speak telepathically or something to do with psionics.. maybe not.. either way you will have to comunicate with me somehow here..." he turned fully and folded his arms looking inquisitively at the much bigger man and waited. (Sorry...I keep getting pulled away by real life.)
