Damrius ran to the edge of the platfrom, holding a charge of energy in his hand. Ryu would suffer this time for sending another one of his damned exploding balls at him.

Bolt!

And from the ball of energy in his hand, Damrius sent out a botl of lightning, directly towards Ryugi. Being as he was wearing a s**t load of metalic objects, and count not ground himself, his sword was his only hope, or maybe something else.. His master was always full of suprises. But, that didn't stop his next charge pull. (3)

Dame should have realized something. Ryugi was moving. Very quickly mind you. And lightning bolts did NOT move in straight lines. Given the distance that Dame would have on Ryugi, the lightning bolt was made very very innacurate, well, by striking standards anyway.

The bolt flew at Ryugi who immediately twisted his body around, the bolt speeding just inches above his head, and leaving the crackly smell of ozone in the air for a split second as Ryugi continued to drop lower and lower, pulling in more charge...(3)

Yikes! He's getting nasty on me... I'd better be more careful...

He reached around to pull out Ragnarok for the time being as he dropped closer and closer to the platform below him.

Damrius drew in more energy, and lept off the pad he was on, moving towards the one Ryugi was going on. Not counting the distance, his chance of making it was about... say... 1 in 6.

Ryugi pulled in another turn of charge as his feet landed firmly on the rocky surface of the platform, Ragnarok at the ready. He watched as his student flew down from the higher ground, and moved towards his current position. He wondered what the boy had in mind, but only time would tell...(4)

Damrius slammed the spikes of his gloves into the bottom of the platform, and felt for a foot hold. Being as the way the platform bottoms were shaped, that was pointless.

He used his battle gloves as his way of climbing to the edge, he pulled himself up, about 5 feet from his mentor. Which didn't leave much running room.

Never make me do that again, please.

Damrius said this, and readied himself for a fist fight, but also pulling in another charge. Techniqually, 11, being as I have 5 at the ready, and six stored.. Hehe.. This is gonna be one helluva light show..

Damrius
Damrius slammed the spikes of his gloves into the bottom of the platform, and felt for a foot hold. Being as the way the platform bottoms were shaped, that was pointless...
(5) The platform shook as Damrius bearly caught a hold of the rocky side of the floating platform, and Ryugi's legs bent at the knee to keep him upright. This was a serious battle, and unfortunately for his apprentice, Ryugi couldn't allow himself to hold back. As Damrius clung to the side of the platform and began to climb up to reach where Ryugi was, Ryugi stabbed Ragnarok's tip into the rocky surface and let lose with one turn of charge, which shattered the rocky platform, disrupted the rune, and the platform began to crumble and break apart, as well as fall. The blast of energy would possibly help to losen Damrius' grip on the rock a bit, but not enough by itself to send him falling. The shattering platform would do that as pieces fell away from his gripping gloves...

Ryugi, in the meantime had pulled his sword out of the failing platform, and had, with another burst of energy, catapulted himself off of the platform to one above and diagonally higher than the previous platform. He'd fallen just slightly short of his target, but no matter... As he neared the platform, he'd stabbed Ragnarok into the side of the platform, the sword not damaging the delicate rune as THAT was on top of the platform. His extra foreward motion was then transfered up and around the handle of his blade as Ryugi's body flipped up to land on top of the firmly planted sword. He then stood atop the metal and hopped onto the platform's surface, pulling his sword out of the side of the platform and letting it rest in front of him as he crouched to keep an eye on his falling opponent, and pull in energy for his next turns.

If Damrius wanted to see where Ryugi had gone, he'd have one hell of a time doing so, since the platform's shape made it's edge in the way of Damrius' field of vision. The only clue that Dame would have of the platform's vacancy would be when it would begin to drop and break apart as he frantically tried to hold onto it, and possibly climb up onto it. And even then, the only time he might see Ryugi leaving would be as the platform broke apart enough so he could see between the cracks that his mentor and trainer was no longer there, but even then, he would be falling, his handholds crumbling as he would try to get a grip...

One even WORSE thing was that if Damrius were to miss seeing where Ryugi had gone completely due to the cracking platform and not seeing through the cracks in the rocky material, that he probably wouldn't see Ryugi at all until the dragon warrior decided to launch an attack at him. The shape of the platforms allowed for excellent visability from above your target, but horrible visibility if you were below them. This meant that Ryugi would still be on one of the platforms, but if Dame failed to get a glimpse of him and where he was headed, he'd see nothing but the bottoms of the thousands of platforms that floated around this strange void-like place, and chances were, if you were falling suddenly without being prepared for it, trying to frantically gain a hold on anything as panic set in, you'd probably NOT be looking for your opponent, but rather be looking for a way to save yourself...

...We'd...we'd have to fight...

Though hidden behind cloth. A genuine smile had stretch along her lips.

Is that all? For a second I thought it might be somthing repulsive.

Damrius cursed as he forced a charge of energy into his feet, and launched himself downward at the closest platform. As he would bullet towards it, he would pull in another charge, leaving him at five ready charges.

He hit the platform, except this time he did a summersault to keep from having the shock of the landing go through his entire body. But, he would not stand. He would have one knee on the platform, and his left leg would be ready to push him out of the way of an oncoming attack.

Now, wherever his master was, he didn't really care. This would give him time to strategize, time to recouperate, and just time to... waste. But, that did not stop him from looking around, searching every crevase like an eagle looking for it's prey...

::Maximos had an honest look of surprise burst across his cheeks. The very fact that she took the idea so openly was...was...well it was certainly not what he had expected. Here he had been refering to her as a proper lady when...well...it was odd that was all. And his jaw hung for a moment before he finally spoke.::

Repulsive? But striking a friend without any reason is repulsive. Why would I want to fight you Lady Festus?

Well I wish to get out of here, and thus there is the reason behind hitting a f-

Being shocked seemed to be contagious. For those features in which maximos had she now shared.

FRIEND!? We are NOT friends! I only said you were bumped up to being an acquaintance! Never... ever... EVER, did I say I was your friend!

::Maximos sighed a deep sigh.::

I know...

::And he paused for a bit before continuing.::

I know you want to leave, but its not so bad here and...

::He stopped mid sentence, here she was getting all red and flustered and shocked, and denouncing their obvious friendship. There wasnt even a moment of confusion, he knew exactly what was going on. Lady Festus had noticed that his smile had slipped away. Maximos was honestly thankful that he had found a friend that would go so far as to pretend they werent his friend, to make him feel better.::

Oh Lady Festus, your too much. And thank you, your a good friend. But see, thats why I dont want to hurt you.

ah-eh-eh-gweh?

I am absolutely not, n-o-t, not, no way your friend! Gah!

Both arms (that's right both) flew up into the air. As she stood starring at the man as if he was some sort of horrific being, for mentioning the word friend.

But slowly her nerves calmed and the arms where brought down. Her demonic had returning to it's normal position. While the humanoid one began to rub her chin, and began it's journey to the back of her neck.

You know what fine. Believe what you want. Just damn it, man! Why don't you wish to fight? What so bloody wrong with it! Animals fight all the time for survival. HELL! Even the soft skinned, yellow belly humans fight! So what the hell is bloody wrong!

Isn't there some saying the humans use that goes, "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"?

::The hesitation, the pausing in her voice. It was all he needed to hear. And then she tossed her arms into the air...it was all he needed to see. Tossing ones arms up like that is the universal sign for...a hug. And Maximos leaned forward tossing his arms around her for a big hug.::

Thank you, Lady Festus, I know you'd understand.

::He said in warm friendly voice....Chances are she'd be saying something slightly different after his reaction.::

Her eyes opened wide, her mouth hung slightly a scewed, and her left hand was making it's way towards the side of the mans speed. At terrifying speed. Hell, even her pale face began to gain color as blood rushed to those cheeks.

WHAT THE HELL! What do you THINK you were DOING!

::Thwack!

Maximos completely didnt expect to be thwacked by a friend. And yet he was. And it hurt his face. Alot. Well not a whole lot, it was equivalent to losign a limb or dying, but it really did sting. As he was tossed to the side he flung his foot out to catch himself from falling over and his hand came up to rub the recently smacked area.

Lady Festus was yelling at him and for the life of him he couldnt figure out why.::

I was...

::He paused as talking made the area sting a bit more, and then he continued.::

I was trying to give you a hug. I'm sorry...

::He paused again as the look of pain sifted off his face and the smile rose again. For a moment he honestly couldnt figure why she did that, but then it came to him.::

Where I come from its a way friends show that they care. See I lift my arms up like this...

::And he did so, carefully so she could see his hands were empty and he was no threat.::

And then I reach forward and wrap them around, and squeeze. Just a little bit.

::And again Maximos leaned forward to do just that. He wasnt a pervert, he wasnt going to try and cop a feel, it was an honest to goodness hug. You see obviously where he comes from hugging must either not exist, or must mean something else. Thats the only reason she'd thwack her friend...Right?::
