Jarlaxle nodded and smiled at her, "Don't worry! Vae will be just fine! He is strong!" In his mind though he was hoping that Vae would get hurt. But that was just from everything Kazgoroth had told him and of the few times he had talked to Vae. He didn't like Vae at all, but he really didn't like a lot of people.

Nena tried to smile but inside her brain was speeding to the speed of light.
Jacinda was grateful she came just in time. It's clear that her old friend and student will need her support.

Jarlaxle looked at her and poked her stomach, "Come on! Cheer up!" He laughed and grinned at her.

Nena's brain was dead at the moment, he was off to war and she was here by herself, scared as a parent. Doubt return but this time drill it's claws into Nena's brain working into over drive.
Jacinda watched closely.

Jarlaxle shook his head and jumped up before he slapped her face once. He poked her stomach again and smiled, "Come on! You are supposed to be happy one! Cheer up!"

Laughter could be heard from all around the tavern, "Sorry Nena! I gotta go take care of some 'business'." With that the laughter disappeared as Jarlaxle traveled through the shadows.
