@Luara, well A furry can be someone who wants to be an animal, like myself.
One whom likes to dress like Animals, I know a few of them.
but it's really just a term for art or stories which contain Human like Animals, people tend to look at Furries as though we are freaks that enjoy sex with animals.
Which I assure is not the case. We just prefer the mixture of Animal traits and Human Traits, happens when you are raised on things such as loony toons and other animal based cartoons.
Wow I should stop being deep, I'm starting to make long explanations.

Prom... again.
My best friend hid the fact that she found a date from me and now I feel like a loser for not having one.
and she's making me feel awful about not wanting to go when I hated it last time...

@ Seryn - Well don't let that get to you dear, if you go simply just smile and try to enjoy life ^-^ really it's the state of mind which determines how fun things like that will be. I doubt I'll have a date when I go to mine! (if it helps?) If you don't, just try to explain your reasoning, though I think you should just because it is Prom after all

@Peri: I second your opinion, it is a bit much.
@Seryn: I wouldn't go if I were you. It sounds like you aren't looking forward to it, so you won't have fun. Also, prom is usually kind of expensive, SAVE THE MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING FAB. EDIT: However, if the only reason you don't want to go is because you don't have a date, you really should go. As a great, totally true example, my prom is only for seniors, I went with my senior boyfriend as a junior, and my fellow junior best friend went to because she convinced some guy to buy her a ticket because she wanted to stalk her ex. Now, if that's not the creepiest, most lonely thing you can do ever, I don't know what is. However, she had the time of her life, and was dateless and not even supposed to be there all night.
@hector: Ok, I get it. So it's not nearly as creepy as people make it out to be.

@Laura, Pretty much, I've had people say some pretty strange things about Furries, but it's only normal for people to assume when they re unfamiliar with something.
