Seph laughed "Well I dont think Felina would approve of being dumped in the airship all day though having someone guard the airship isn't such a bad idea really. Otherwise we need to just be constantly on guard. Don't think Chobi will be happy with the sand rolling so if we do that... your a bird person too. You can have the honor" she nominated Hayate.
Alpha laughed "I second that notion. To be honest I was just going to rop the ship near the surface of the fire demon city and have their staff look after it. Though if you wanted to leave chobi inside she would probably roast. The alternative is to leave the airship near the settlement. Would want at least two capable people guarding the ship if that was the case. So yeah we got options. Think Felina will be mad if we leave her behind after all the effort shes making"

Felina groaned sinking further under the covers "I never said I was going back to sleep but I would gladly just sit here a little while longer. Its so comfy and keeps my toes nice and cosey and thirty minutes ago it was hard enough trying to get you up to say goodbye to Amane. Should come join me and warm up" she suggested playfully hiding under the covers.
Hayate rolled his eye "Well Im better with smaller birds but fine. I have no bother rolling a chocobo in sand though its generally not a good idea to have your language translator potentially put out of action by an angry chocobo. If Im rolling your chocobo, you are convincing the royals to stay on the airship all trip" he retorted.
Satoshi nodded giving the driver a small tip "Its not always comfortable because its made to fit you exactly and of course body shape can change all the time. It gets too loose on rare occasion when foos is scarce on missions. Can't wear loose clothes in case it catches on something though or is seen swishing about" she yawned linking arms with him. "Now call me boring but I would just be happy with a sandwich for breakfast. Maybe I should invest in some boxes to pack my stuff away on the airship then have the moogles take it home" she pondered..

Oassu chuckled "Sure but I'm not especially cold and it's always less comfortable lying in bed in daytime clothes" he said placing Cid on the nightstand with his hat to entertain him before climbing under to cuddle up to Felina "I think you can be just as bad as me for lying in at times" he said.
Itaka smiled slightly glad he didn't have either of the nasty jobs "Well even if Felina did manage to pass as a non-royal I sincerely doubt Zadina would be capable of it, he's just too.....well-programmed with sincerities and niceities to fit in where we're going so best he stays on the ship I think" he added.
Gil blinked surprised at Satoshi "Hmm? I'd have thought you'd want something special for your birthday especially after you said how nice the breakfast here is" he said shrugging as he linked arms with Satoshi "If I was you I'd be more concerned about planning some kind of speech to soothe over your friends on the airship, I've not been there that long so I'm not overly concerned but people are going to miss you" he said

Seph laughed and nodded her head "True. I think Zadina would be pretty confused when we try to explain why it is important for him to dress down tomorrow. At the same time though, I wouldnt want to leave too small a group behind in case it leaves them vulnerable to attacks from bandits while the rest of us are out looking for antlions"
Alpha shrugged "Well I might have an overall solution to the problem. They will be pissed if they are just left to sit and look pretty. The royals are both skilled mages. I am sure Psy could put them to work while we were away and would add a few more numbers to keep them safe by keeping them with a group that can look after themselves well enough" he suggested.

Felina giggled peeking out to catch a glimpse of what Cid what up to."Hey we didnt have much sleep at all last night and my feet were killing from the heels I had to wear last night so why not snuggle in a little while dear. It may not be a fancy royal bed like at home but it is still comfy As for the clothes problem. Im sure its easily fixed" she whispered ruffling his hair.
Hayate hesitated uncertain "Well I do not know how Zadina would react to having to help treat the ill but Felina is definately kind hearted enough to enjoy helping them out. Still. It can be your job to explain that idea Itaka since you seem to be dodging all the jobs right now" he laughed rockig back and forth a little. "I must admit the concept of Zadina trying to talk more like common people is quite amusing"
Satoshi sighed stopping a moment "Don't remind me of that. I think Hebal is going to be expecially sad. Im really not much of a speech person anyway. But I made them all a nice present to leave them all with. I might have spent a few days painting a picture of the whole crew together that could have on one of the airship walls. Sort of as a nice dragon festival bonus"

Oassu raised an eyebrow at Felina "Would think you'd have had enough of that last night and would just want some sleep but sure we can rest a little" he said summoning a clone to massage Felina's feet while he cuddled in "Though your bed was something pretty impressive back home" he sighed.
Gil nodded patting Satoshi on the back "You can always stay with them if you like, they are your friends after all and it's not going to be all that fun where I'm going" he said sadly.
Itaka rolled his eyes "Don't think it'd be me but I wouldn't worry about Zadina treating the ill he's certainly got the magical capacity for it" he said "Though I thought the point of keeping them on the airship was so they didn't draw attention on the ground healing the sick" he pointed out.

Alpha shrugged "Better to have them indoors healing the sick than out in the street for all to see and eye up. Unlike the average street person, the sick cant as easily get up and poke their nose into other peoples businness or do anything that is going to draw attention towards us more than an airship on show. Though lets give Zadina a little credit for he would certainly put all the effort in" he chuckled.
Seph scratched her head "so your suggesting they help people while at the same time are able to guard the airship should we be unfortuate enough to be targetted? I guess that would work maybe if a couple other people also opted to stay behind. Also if I left Chobi on the airship, we could give Zadina the responsibility to look after her. Give him a little experience to look after adult ones for his future with Merric. That was he would barely need to be outside at all"

Felina stiffened up slightly not having expected the addition of the clone "Well last night was certainly enjoyable. Its also nice to be the one being looked after for a change" she sighed managing to relax again. "My bed at home is only a modest sized one too. A lot of the guest rooms and my fathers rooms are a lot bigger. Though if you can come up with a reason you would need beds that big let me know as I have no idea and see them as a waste of space"
Satoshi shook her head smiling at Gil "No. I have made up my mind so don't try to change it. I knew it wasnt going to be fun saying goodbyes. Never is but its not like I can't keep in touch with them and visit on occasion right?" she shrugged watching a moment while a group of people struggled to remove some of the paper lanturns from overhead. "Ninja get used to the goodbye thing quick eough even if we dislike it. There must be someone that made you even a little sad having to part ways with?"
"I guess that could work. Hebal would probably appreciate not being out in the hot sun with her fur. Though don't think its fair to tie them down to the airship the whole time" Hayate pointed out listening out to make sure nobody they were talking about were nearby to interrupt them. "I kind of feel like we should at least try and give them jobs to do in our absence so it doesn't look like they are being dumped"

Oassu smiled "Yeah of course, you've certainly taken care of us often enough with your white magic" he said lying back to look up at the ceiling "I dunno, beds of a huge size could be fun to hide in and more importantly you can fit more people in them, we didn't have that many beds back at the guild so we'd often just rotate where we could so that folks at least got a somewhat comfier sleep once a week" he said frowning as he remembered it.
Gil nodded "I'll be sad to say goodbye to Zadina of course, he's a good boy and destined for great things I'm sure with his power" he said "Though I normally travel alone so I'm not especially used to company, I've worked with larger groups in the past and there's been nice people there I've had to say goodbye to but much like you I'm used to it" he said whistling to Enkidu to come back and stop chasing sleepy birds out of the grass "Still yes you must go back to them at somepoint, I'm sure they'll be glad to see you again" he said.
Itaka nodded "Course this is all up to them, they might insist on going along, I imagine Zadina would be fine staying to take care of the chocobos because his own little one probably needs the protection" he said sitting up "Felina on the other hand will probably insist she comes along, we are here for her sake after all" he said shrugging.

Alpha paused "Well we will work something out I'll bet. Just let em decide what they wanna do. Would probably need to get on side to have Oassu to get Felina to stay behind and the pair aint gonna separate for a while and don't want to disturb what they are doing in their room" he added with a small chuckle. "I wonder if much has chage since I last went to the desert. Im guessing not but still, its been about a decade now"
Seph shrugged "Beats me, I've been there even less. Makes us look a bit like we've been avoiding your kid for some reason" she joked shuffling over to the pool table "Well anyone fancy a game since we have nothing better to do? Can see if the balls actually stay in place or not"

Felina snorted at Oassu's answer "Im sorry for laughing. I know what you are getting at sort of but in a place like the palace... well that sort of answer just implies you have a lot of friends to share with and yeah do stuff. Worry not though you will always have a comfy bed with me and one not as tacky as the one Alpha has given us. Why he chose to give us a heart shaped waterbed I don't know"
Satoshi rubbed her chin "You should maybe get Zadina a present. You know like a nice little momento. That kid thinks the world of you despite you being a swordmaster and him being a mage. Probably knows all your stories too" she added stopping to look at a small cafe menu.
Hayate paused "Sure why not I'll attempt to learn how to play. I have a rough idea of what to do. Though if it makes you guys feel better, I haven't seen any of my real family in over 500 years not that I want to or anything. Felina definately won't agree to staying put if I suggest it. We already argue enough about stuff like that"

Oassu smiled putting an arm around Felina and rubbing her shoulders as he cuddled her "Well I don't know, waterbeds are certainly comfy" he said intentionally squirming to make the waterbed jiggle briefly "I think he's just teasing us for being engaged but I'm not complaining, plenty of room to cuddle in" he said kissing Felina's ear and nuzzling her face.
Gil nodded "I have got him something, a book of Moogle black magic though I imagine he'll probably know a great deal of it, it's from the Grand Moogle Mage so it should still hold some merit for him" he said ignoring the strange looks he received from the passersby as he awkwardly sat down on the chair which creaked under the weight of his armour before holding "Hrm, I'm not used to these chairs it seems" he muttered frowning.
Itaka nodded "Oassu would probably be game for it, he knows how dangerous your family can be after all" he said looking at Hayate "Though I wouldn't count on much changing in the desert, maybe some sand dunes have gotten bigger but other than that there's not exactly much to change is there?" he shrugged moving over to watch Hayate and Seph.

Alpha nodded well "Well yes that is true but when you have been away for so long there is always a chance someone has set up a small town where one wasn't before. Espeially if near some form of water source. "But I guess while your playing pool I will speed up and shut up to concentrate on flying. Perhaps give Hayate a head start beimg new to your game"
Seph gasped pretending to be in disbelief "No way he'll catch up to me in no time" she complained setting up the table. "Right its simple Im red, you can be yellow. You have to knock all the balls of your colour in all in the roles using the white ball then do the same for the black one to end the game. Thats the main gist of it" she explained going first to demonstrate. "Itaka you can come on my tram a little so can take it in turns. My turn ends when I miss and we swap over"

Just best not to make Alpha my house stylist when it comes to moving out the palace. My mother would probably show heavy disapproval at the heart shaped stuff he picks. Dad on the other hand would probably just laugh and not ask questions" she predicted while she rubbed her legs against Oassu's taking full advantage of how close they were"
Satoshi shrugged "It's probably just your armour adding the weight to the chairs here. Plus they arent very big ones. Are these seats going to be a problem for you? If so can move elsewhere. I think he will apprecciate the gift though if its by the grad moogle mage then I am sure there will be a few bits and bobs he doesnt know plus stuff on enhanting which he wanted to learn more about. Though I will admit its easy to forget moogles have black mages. They aren't exactly seen as magical power houses" she admitted.
Hayate paused for a long time carefully watching Seph and her movements while she fired "Ok so its basically poking a ball along the top until you move something. Got it though no head starts please" he a. ded trying to catch a feel of the of the pool cue in his hands. "Heh if Felina stays, Oassu should. Otherwise Oassu will probably get cocky and run off, get injured and crawl back to Felina" he joked.

Oassu smiled as his clone began to massage Felina's legs seeing she was moving them. Shuffling over slightly Oassu gave Felina a quick kiss "I'm sure we'd love to decorate our own home besides there's nothing that wrong with hearts" he said shifting his hands to better cuddle Felina.
Gil nodded "They aren't as well known as Nu Mou or Elves but their black magic can be just as powerful with the right individual" he said crossing his armswhile some others picked up a menu to examine "The chair is fine, besides even if he doesn't get much reading out of it it's a valuable tome" he said waving a hand dimissively
Itaka tilted his head over frowning "You don't decide at the start, anyone can pot any colour until the first ball goes down, then they have that colour" he said sensing the problem with the rules "And I'm not sure about that, Oassu probably knows exactly how dangerous your family is as well and for once he'd be right at home with a bunch of crooks and thieves" he joked.
