Sevilin gave a nod, walking over to Piper and lifting her up into his arms. Amazing that he was touching a surface elf without inflicting bodily harm, or at least he thought so. Then again...someone had to take care of her now didn't they? "Surface elves doing crazy things to wear themselves out..." Thus carrying her up to Malik and Piper's room, setting her in the bed as instructed, propped up and such, and even being so nice as to pull the covers over her before leaving the room, pulling the door closed behind himself and heading back downstairs. Oh look, Arthur was back from his...whatever.
He was about to protest about his mother being moved, but his attention was turned back to Zahara and he fiddled with his own fingers a moment in his worry, before giving her a nod. "I trust you...you always make mommy better when she's not right." Physically anyway. But a smile at the praise they got. His attention turning to Arthur as the older elf commanded attention.

A slight grin.
"And no, she hasn't chosen yet. they aren't so much stolen, as spoils of war, so to speak. the Maestro however, his would have been stolen...I'm not so arrogant to think I could take him on alone."

And Sevilin was back downstairs which was good. Meant Piper was settled. She turned back to the little boy in front of her and nodded. "That's right Malikhai, I won't let anything happen to her. I promise you that." She gave the little boy a hug then stood back up and glanced at Sevilin. "Why dont' you and the boys get those fish ready for me to cook, hmm? Show them the second part of being providers." Because Zahara was not deboning or deveining anything, not if she had Sevilin around to do it for her. Turning her attention over to Arthur she took a seat opposite him and shrugged, "Things got a little hectic. We lost contact with the gods and magic left as a result. Needless to say we were left vulnerable to anything that wanted to harm us and we had a few earthquakes to boot. Malik, as a precaution, moved us all into Twilight so we'd be corralled in case anything major happened. Other than that, there was a big battle that apparently was anticlimactic. All I know is there's some sort of noxious gas floating around and I had nobody to heal. Tell me about your rune fleshing or whatever it is they did to get you that eye. Looks like a very advanced healing technique."
"Well, they are wonderful instruments to be sure, Malik. I understand why you keep them locked up so tightly." He gave a grin as his wife chose the harp and he nuzzled her lightly. He had a fantasy of her wearing nothing and playing a harp. Now it could become a reality. They'd gotten close to such a thing when they were younger but she'd been so uncertain and by that time they'd tumbled into bed and forgotten all about the harp. Afterwards he had listened to her play. She was just as skilled as he was, A Rainsong through and through. "So, what other incentives do you have to entice us to visit again?" Joking of course.

Well he gave a nod to the boys followed by a smile, they always seem to light a smile on the elf's face somehow maybe it's because he wished he had his own, but then again he wasn't in the condition to actually raise a kid really at the moment so the thought drifted from his mind. When Sevilin came in though he gave his usual greeting before turning to Zahara after the man left with the boys to clean the fish that they had apparently caught. "Wow it seems like you guys had a lot of fun without me." He said and chuckled lightly, of course he was just joking around and it made him feel bad that he wasn't here just incase something bad did go down. Though when she switched the topic to his flesh threading the elf paused for a moment to think it over. "Well I wasn't awake of course for the whole thing, the crystal was inserted into my eye after she made a incision so she could place it inside though it did give me a a headache she easily fixed up with a rune...I'm sorry that I can't say much about it Zahara." Though there was a pause and then an idea went off in his head. "Well how about I ask Lateef to get Kieran to send you down some notes on it or something? Maybe that could help?"

And...he was being waved off? More or less...but alright. Walking over to the boys, he took the fish from them and gave them a look. "Why don't you two go play Crest Brigade? They're light knights, but instead of looking out for one specific person, they look out for the good of the home. Meaning you have to take care of everyone. Really important job...have a go at it, you have uniforms." Not that he enjoyed the thought of his son wearing the Andalian crest, but wht ruin it for the boy. Thus into the kitchen with him to clean adn then freeze fish.
Well...seemed they weren't going to be getting anymore attention....thus a sigh and a pout before turning to his friend. "Let's go wash our hands first and then we'll go play at something."
"Malik has things made by the hands of gods...at least someone can make a good impression when he means to indeed make one. "Well, I'll make sure to remind her...though she isn't going anywhere right now...she's too busy building herself a house." Which Caprice still wasn't too fond of letting her baby girl go, but it was something as a parent that you just had to do.

"That would be fine, Arthur. I woudl appreciate it very much. I can't do it personally but Sevilin probably could, nevertheless, it never hurts to learn about such things and anything in the healing area falls under my domain." She gave him a smile and traced her necklace. "Thank you again for my necklace, Arthur, you really didn't have to. I'm just sorry Zykariel was less than pleased."
Zykariel sighed as well, guess they wouldn't be helping with the fish then. "Okay..." Thus off to wash their hands, scrubbing all the fish ick off them and then off to play. "Why don't we try out our new uniforms and stuff?"

The elf gave a small nod to the drow sitting across from him. "Hey it's not a problem and besides I think Kieran wouldn't mind lending you his journal or whatever he has that holds the information...but yes it would be pretty good to learn just things and even study them, I couldn't believe it just took a tiny crystal in my eye to get it working again." Anyone by now could see that Arthur was more happier than usual though if no one could tell the smile on his face sure can let it be known. Though as the elf watched the drow trace the amber necklace she wore he grinned a little as he shifted in his seat. "Hey it's really not a big deal Zahara, I've known that you love amber and when I saw that necklace I knew it would look good on you, it's just a gift and I'm glad to see that you really like it." Though he chuckled and wave his hand a little bit when she mentioned her boy. "I don't mind that, kids are kids and they view things differently than us. I'm just glad things are good now and he's not upset." Though a slight pause as he looked at the drow and smiled lightly. "I would never take you from him Zahara, you are an important figure in his life and I don't want to hurt him at all so it's fine by be with he way he reacted." A small sigh as he shifted in his seat again. "But I gotta tell you it's good to be home and it's good to see that you and everyone else are alright."

Both boys toddled off, going to wash thier hands and then returned for thier new play clothes, Malikhai investigating the various pieces. "Do you know how to put all of it on? I think we can figure it out...looks like layers." Blinking and then looking to his friend once more.

"I have a great many incentives. sampling the delicacies of the underdark, the ability if so inclined to learn necromancy...there's the horses, everyone enjoys the horses. this vault is full of all sorts of planar and non planar treasures. there's being able to visit Piper as well."
A slight grin.
"The bow that Fianna was gifted with was made from extra planar materials. the outer planes provided interesting crafting opporunities for those such inclined."
though placing his hands behind his back.
"Though, I have some buisness questions that need answers if other plans of mine are to go forward on Andal."
then another small grin.
"Oh and I have an exotic menagerie of arena trained creatures of lore and legends."

"Amazing what advanced magic can do." Sevilin had taught her that in more ways than one. She'd learned what she was capable of and found out that her own abilities were far eclipsed what she thought. "Amber isn't cheap on Andal, Arthur. I know that and I also know that it takes time to choose a good piece. I appreciate both your time and your steel." Her lips pursed for a moment and her brows drew together though a moment later her face cleared. "Yes well, he has to learn otherwise doesn't he? He has to have faith in his family and understand that bonds made can't be broken." She knew she was responsible for the child's reaction but it was a hard thing to admit, even to herself. "I'm glad you are back home safe and sound, Arthur. Welcome home." She reached over and patted his hand, then stood. "If you'll excuse me, I have some fish to prepare." Sweeping from the room she headed into the kitchen and stood beside Sevilin, grabbing a knife and helping him with the fish. "He still doesn't believe I'm not leaving him."
"We're smart, we can figure it out." He lifted one piece that appeared to be pants of some sort and kicked off his boots changing out of his own pants. "I think this long shirt goes on first and then this piece goes on over it? Maybe it's switched..."
Lateef nodded, "Just visiting Piper was incentive enough to get me down here. That and knowing that Isle was here. I always like to know what catches my daughter's fancy and why." He squeezed his wife comfortingly and quirked an eyebrow. "Do be careful Malik. I'm supposed to be on vacation and Kieran and my wife will both kill me if I indulge too much in business. I would be glad to discuss anything regarding Andal with you, however, despite my wife and King's irritation. Let me know when and where and I'll meet with you."

Caprice gave a chuckle, hiding it behind her hand in her own modesty as was her way. "My my Malik, it just never ceases with you does it. But yet so be careful, can't have too much business though I will allow some. Now shall we get out of this vault, tad too cramped for my tastes." Leaning lightly against her husband,"Don't worry, I'll only thump you again if you get out of hand. Though I may use something harder next time."
Okay to pants went off and on and after a moment of figuring, on went the long sleeved white, followed by the surcoat over top of it. "Goes like this, see? Long stuff always goes under short stuff." It was all poofy around hte middle, so he assymed one of the long strips of cloth was a belt...and then he clearly knew what bracers looked like and then shin guards as well, though both were in the forms of wraps. Helping each other wrap and secure things before pulling thier boots back on. "Okay, how do we look?"
He turned his attention up form the fish he was working on as she grabbed a knife. "Just cut those into fillets and clean them, we'll freeze them for dinner tomorrow." Before quiet a moment, contemplating words. "Three years is a big deal to him...you can't expect him to settle with you all at once or in a short amount of time. He'll learn."

She nodded and began to slice the cleaned fish into thin strips that could be fried or baked later. She knew what Sevilin said was true, but still. "I've been around since he was born. I nursed him and was right there beside you walking the halls when he couldn't reverie. I've bathed him, fed him, and soothed his hurts while you were working. I've played with him and taught him things and it still isn't enough, is it? He would have never been happy with me as anything less than his mother."
"We look good." He grinned at the sight of him and his friend in the mirror. "We look kinda like those pictures of the knights in the book, remember? The ones with the crosses on their chest? We can be knights from Andal." Thus over to that fun little box in the corner that held all their play clothes and things and he pulled out two wooden swords, handing one over. "We have a plane to save!"

"Therein lies his issue. You were there for him when he was a baby, you were technically his mother...then when he didn't need you as much anymore, you pushed away and because something akin to the babysitter. You wouldn't even let him call you by an affection other than Zara or Mother. And he started to understand that when he got older, and realized that it wasn't something that was supposed to be happening...and it took him a good long while to get you as his mommy and well...he's afraid that it will all slip through his fingers. Being a child, he's used to things coming and going. He doesn't want you to be one of those things."
Taking his wooden store he giggled and raised his sword. "It's our duty!" Thus onto horseplaying from that room and turn the whole house into their private playground, despite the place still being crowded, they just weaved through people and such.

"I didn't want to confuse him, especially since elves never forget. How could I explain to him that I was his mommy when he was a baby and now that's he's older I can't be anymore. It was easier just to let it be known from the beginning that I wasn't." She shook her head and chopped a little harder than necessary. "I just want that stupid mistake to leave me alone and stop haunting me. I can't help the way I saw things and I was trying to do what was best for all. Children just don't understand that though do they?"

"Hey watch it...don't need you cutting anything off of either of us. Don't be upset and using a knife at the same time." Shaking his head lightly before sighing some. "He'll understand when he'd older...right now there is no two sides to anything, he's egocentric...all children are at his age. It's hard for him to see things from another aspect, especially one like mine or yours. How can he possibly understand that you wanted to be away to protect him, when he's learned that protection comes from staying close? Don't stress...I'm sure that it will all settle, especially with the decision you've made about all of this."
