I'll tell you all the story.
I have a friend named Terri. We've been very good friends for awile now. We told each other everything, and when something bad happened, we were there for each other.
But something horrible happened. Something terrible.
Terri's real father is a s**t head. A no good, down right, evil to the bone, rotten clump of slime. He used to beat her mother all of the time right in front of her, and threaten to kill them so many times. Terri was even forced to call the cops on her dad 3 times.
When her mother finally got enough money to run away, Terri was forced to vist him once a year. He did awful things to her. He had some of Terri's mom's old dresses, and made Terri wear them.
Now, he calls her to tell that she's worth nothing everyday. It breaks her heart. Terri told me about it, and I felt so bad for her. To keep her dad from calling her, I had her stay at my house for a week, and Terri was getting better.
But then school started, and things changed. Terri started acting strange. She never talked to me, and when she did, it was to tell me to move at of the way. I knew something was wrong...but what could it be?
Then one day, Terri never got on the bus. I thought she must have gotten sick. But then a week passed, and I still never saw her. To find out why, I called her mom....and Terri was sent to a mental hospital because she kept cutting herself. She thinks that somehow, her parents divorce was all her fault.
I miss her a lot. I wish she didn't have to go.
