Queen of the Blue Twins Yeah, I was afraid of my parents.... but keep in mind 25 yrs ago corporal punishment in the home was the norm and expected, not illegal like in most states today. Not that my parents came anywhere near abusing me but it only took once to know you never wanted to meet dad's belt again!! Oh, I know that. Although it was never my dad who hit me; it was my mom.

It was actually my mom too... but with a slotted spatula.. less force - equal control - maximum pain!
But only twice in my life - I didn't need the old 3rd times the charm to get that lesson. talk2hand

My step-father beat us with a wooden shellacked paddle. It made me dislike him more. If one child did something wrong we all got it. It just didn’t matter. I think that might be part of the reason my back is so messed up…

I've never been hit with a spoon of any kind, but I've been hit with a belt, hanger, shoe, and, of course, a hand. xP
I tried not to get in trouble... but, you know, there are times where your siblings just annoy the crap out of you and you end up fighting with them, thus getting in trouble.

Blufoo My step-father beat us with a wooden shellacked paddle. It made me dislike him more. If one child did something wrong we all got it. It just didn’t matter. I think that might be part of the reason my back is so messed up… King's mom used a ping pong paddle on the boys. I just found out today that my back is messed up from all the gran mal seizures I had as a baby. So now I'm looking at like a year of therapy and such to realign my spine like it should be and I can get rid of these headaches finally. This is gonna suck in so many ways. emo
