Oh, nay, Cora ... of course ye are'na useless. *Maggie assures her, starting to get a clearer idea of what's gotten her in this state* 'Tis alright if ye dinna want te read or practice so much, truly it is.

:: biggrin eep down, Cora knew that it was alright for her not to have to practice or read until she passed out, but she felt guilty for thinking that way, because a moment later she would imagine how helpless she'd be if there Seraphim were to appear, or how unable she would be to protect someone she loved:::
I stopped- and then :::sob::: I just kept thinking... :::Cora arched her back, not really sitting up, but so she could prop herself up on her elbows the least bit::: My thoughts, just kept coming, and I- I haven't-
:::the tears were renewed, and she cried again:::
Luke isn't- he isn't usually :::sob::: away this long...

I'm sure he's alright, *Maggie takes the seat next to her so she can see her face better and still be close to comfort her* He told me he'd spent a whole summer without appearing here, once. And I've spent longer stretches away, myself. Ye'll see him again soon ...

But he- he's not usually- Luke comes here- :::gasp::: more often, lately- and and, he's usually back by now.
:::Cora, hearing herself saying it outloud, felt so stupid. How could she possibly now how long it had been since he was there? She must have just imagined it all. Her mind was doing strange things to her, and she couldn't stand it. The knot in the back of her throat loosened again as she began to release a few more sobs:::

:::Cora decides that it's best to try and let go of all the feelings that were making her act like this. She could just, try to forget them... if she could sit up, so she did.
She ran a hand over the top of her head and sighed, a few stray tears and staggered breathes escaping still. Cora looked over at Maggie, her brow furrowing. She attempted to feel embarassed of herself, but could only imagine that Maggie might understand the feeling... the constant threats. She reached out and put her arms around Maggie:::

*Maggie drops her hands to take Cora's* Aye ... and I know how much this place means te ye ... *but it isn't a home, she thinks. But what to be done? She knows she could never manage to bring her back to her own time more than just briefly. Nor, likely, could anyone else*
... mayhap we might at least give ye something more te do with yerself when there's no one else about. *It's not a real solution, but its all Maggie can think of to help her* I know how much ye want to practice for ... well. But ye canna spend yer e'ery moment like that ... 'tis no wonder ye're feeling as ye do.

*Maggie mulls it over for a minute before responding* Truly, all of us here must have such different ways of spending our time. Surely e'en if each o'us taught ye but one new thing, ye might find it a bit easier te be here ...

*It's such an unusal question, it takes Maggie a moment to figure out how to answer* Well ... really, 'tis just taking cloth, and stitching it in such a way te make clothing from it. Ye've likely seen me working at it before ... *she adds, in hopes of prompting her memory* Using a needle, and thread.
