"Okay then, off we go." Taking her hand, he walked slowly through the hallways, not wanting to hurt her. After a few minutes of silence, the throne room came up.Rasping on the door, his father answered, he seemed to be alone with Lucius. Stepping in with Amaya, he nodded to Lucius.
"My Prince," Lucius bowed to Roran, "And Queen Amaryllis."
"Roran!" King Radford beamed, hugging his son, not wanting to show any anger towards his son with Lucius and the Queen in the room. "And Queen Amaya, welcome. We have much to discuss. Sit, sit." Walking over and taking a seat next to Lucius, they had a map of Syra's castle town on a table. "As Joseph told you, Syra will be attacked in, what we are guessing, will be five days."
Do we know where they will attack from?" Roran asked, staring down at the map.
Clearing his throat, Lucius bent over the map, pointing to the parts on the map he spoke of. "We believe, as would be the smartest tactical plan, that they will send a few small forces to our front gates. This would be genious to create a distraction and draw our forces away from the town's weakest spot." His finger ran over the paper to a spot on the wall that surrounded the town. "This place is our weakest point. It has vines and plants with many bushes to climb and recieve cover. Plus, it's in a descreet part of the town, where only the poorest of people who can't make much money live. If they come in from there, not only will the be between our forces and the castle, but they will also be splitting the town in half. The smartest follow-up action would be to send our own small forces to meet the men in the front, and have the rest at the castle. I don't advise splitting the bulk of our army up, for that would weaken our strength tremendously."
Roran had to admit, Lucius was a very tactical man. He was probably the smartest, strategic man within the castle. Roran had his genious tactics, but Lucius could foil his plans many times over. "I see. So then, perhaps we send either Akori or Hector out with maybe two deca?"
"That was what I was thinking. No offense to his majesty, or to the Princes, but Prince Roran and Prince Alexander have the skills needed to lead the bulk of the army. Though they are very tactical and storng, they could be killing themselves by going with two deca to fight at the gates. For all we know, these bandits might come in one, huge mass, and attack our gates. We just don't know."
"Akori and Hector, yes. But even though they are the two slightly weaker Princes, they can still hold their own." Radford didn't want any of his sons to die, but someone has to lead these men. "Hector can go down to the gates with those two deca. But I want Roran and his forces not far behind. We will keep the bulk of the army together, but I want Roran's group closest to the gate, incase Hector will need help. As for the castle, Akori and Xander will have their own men, but will stay together. Then you, Lucius, and I, will have seperate teams also. We might need to split up, depending on how the attack proceeds."
"Correct, sir. If you are wanting Roran near Hector, he could position himself at the front of the castle here, then Prince Alexander and Prince Akori will be positioned to the left of the castle here. Then you and I can cover the back and right sides of the castle. That way, we are covered at all sides. The most important part of the town is the castle."
"I beg to differ," Roran intervened. "The castle, yes, is important, but the people of the city are our number one priority. Without the people, Syra is nothing. Sure, we have villages across the plains, within our kingdom, but it is the people here within these walls that make the castle possible," his finger fell on the huge wall that surrounded the town, "The people are the priority."
"My son is right. The people are important. But we still need to cover the castle. As long as the Syrian flag flies at the top, the people will know that Syra continues to fight. We will use Lucius's plan, unless anyone here disagrees."
Shaking his head, he had forgotten Amaya was next to him. Looking to the door where two guards should have been, he caught Amaya's face in the corner of his eyes. Suddenly remembering he was there, he looked to her. "You have anything to say, dear?"

Amaya sat quietly and listened to the plan and then nodded as Roran noticed her once more. "My only concern is the number of troops..." She said as she looked at the group. "We could easily double security if I bring out Keros' Army, with your permission of course." She said, giving a respectful look to King Radford. "With the marriage, there was also the deal with protection. My army could easily be here in a day and be ready to fight. I am concerned since the assassins have proved to be quite strong lately with all of the recent attacks. It is a good plan, as long as the people are protected." She sighed, still clutching her shoulder.

Lucius spoke before the King managed to. "My Queen, know of all the agreements, but wouldn't bringing the Kerosian army to Syra leave security issues within your own castle? What if the bandits have another party headed for Keros at the same time they head for us? Then Keros is useless, and will be overthrown within minutes. Keros needs your army."
Shaking his head, Lucius did have a point, but he forgot one thing. "Lucius, you forget about the strikers and their pact with Keros. The strikers are able to fight and kill the bandits even if they are outnumbered four-to-one. Keros is protected very well. Now, as for the Kerosian army coming here, it would be great aid, milady. But we wouldn't want too many soldiers within our walls, but we could have a sneak attack of our own." Bending over the table again, he pointed to a spot outside of the town's walls, where the plains met the forest. "If your soldiers are hiding here, when the bandits attack, you can come up from behind."
Nodding, his father seemed to be a good tactician too. "With all of our men, we are ensured to win!" Looking to Amaya now, he smiled. "Anything else, love? Bringing the Kerosian army is all up to you."

Amaya nodded and smiled gently at King Radford's comment about the Strikers. "With the recent trust I gained from the strikers, one patrols the main city every hour. If they see anything suspicious they get the rest of the group to attack. There is no need to worry with them about. A group of soliders will be stationed at the posts where your sons are located." She told him as she pointed out the areas but then went over to the area that he had pointed out, and made a little face. "While my soldiers specialize in sneak attacks, it concerns me that there is only one point of concern." She sighed as she looked at him. She had remembered going over Syra's weak points one day with her father, and King Radford had only pointed out one that wasn't even a main concern. "You have neglected to guard some of the worst areas in your castle walls. Mainly, these two drain gates." Amaya said as she pointed at two opposite sides of the castle walls. The drain gates were only a few feet wide, but they could easily be breached and the army always seemed to over look those areas.

Xander smiled at the Queen's remark of the drain gates. For the first time he had to admid this marriage had his bright sides. An extra army, advice on finalizing the battle plans and pointing out Syra's weaknesses. Xander had walked in the room a bit later. He didn't want to disturb them, so he walked in quietly and just listened. 'Having a former enemy on our side does have it's bright sides. No offence.' He was thinking to himself'

Smirking, he shook his head. "My Queen, ever since a Kerosian attack on the city during the war, Those two drain locations are no longer threats. They are covered, and no one can breach those areas anymore. But I thank you for your concern." Looking to the King, he wasn't sure if Radford had taken those precautions Lucius told him to take with those two areas.
Noding in agreement with Lucius, he smiled. "Yes, those two areas are covered, no need to worry about attacks from those two spots. Even if they do attack us from there, men can get there in no time and defeat them quickly."
Their overconfidence in the safety of those two points worried him. Was Amaya right? Could those two spots be breached the easiest. He had to trust his father and Lucius both, they knew what was best. "So, then we are sure that this point here, is our most definite weakest point?" His finger fell back on the spot on the wall Lucius had told them about. At nods from both Lucius and his father, he sighed with content. "So then everything is in order?"
"Yes. We only need to worry about training our men for this fight, and then the arrival of the Kerosians. Though that wouldn't take long."

Amaya nodded a little and then smiled. "I'll send Kaname out to rally the troops then." She said as she stood and left the room. She quickly found her and walked up to her smiling a little. "Kaname. I need you to go to Keros and bring the army."
Kaname looked at her as though her entire head was a spider, but tried to be considerate. "I guess I can do that your highness..." She said warily.
"I know it is a lot to ask, but you are the only one I trust. Take Crow with you, she'll enjoy the ride." Amaya said as she smiled and hugged her friend before she headed off to her room and just layed on the bed, staring up at the ceiling while Saber slept quietly.

Standing with Amaya, he bowed to his father, and smiled to Xander on his way out. As the King and Lucius began to talk some more, he exited silently, leaving Amaya to go to his room, changing clothes. Now in a T-shirt and pants, he felt more free for some rerasong. As he got the chills though, he put his jacket back on. "I'm always so damn cold," he muttered.

Amaya quietly changed into a light blue dress and the looked over the wound in her shoulder, grimacing at how bad it was. She went into the bathrom, remembering her last episode there. She washed her wound out, holding in screams as she sat there. It looked pretty bad, but she needed to clean it out, so she sat through the toture. Once that was over she rebandaged it, though now it started bleeding through the bandages, so she changed dresses so it sashed over her uninjured shoulder and she walked out into the halls.

Shivering as he left his room, he closed his door silently, turning to see Amaya. "Well, hey there babe. What are you up to?" He asked, as if he hadn't seen her in days.

"Not much. Are you cold? I hope you aren't coming down with anything." Amaya said in a motherly tone as she noticed him shiver and walked over, putting the back of her hand on his forehead.

Smiling at how worried she was, he wrapped his arms around her as she came up to him. "Amaya, I'm not sick. I'm just naturally warm, and so most room temperatures make me cold." Kissing the tip of her nose, he smiled. "That's why when I'm asleep, I'm always under some covers. Even with you there next to me, I still need the covers." Nuzzling her nose, he put his forhead to hers. "Besides, if I was sick, you'd know. I'd be having coughing fits, and would be weak. So don't worry. I'm fine."

"Hey, as long as you're here, I'll be warm forever." Chuckling, he sighed. "I'll be sure to survive the battle. By the way, You and your sisters are not fighting. You understand? I don't want any of you hurt, especially not my darling Amaya. Please, don't fight with us."

"Roran please! You've seen me fight! It would kill my sisters and I if we weren't allowed to be with our fiances! Please Roran! My army is coming and they need different orders! You will be busy enough as it is! We don't have enough commanders!" Amaya said as she looked at him, tears welling up in her eyes.
