Me likes~

Likewise, now we need the wargear choices like the marine painter. Powerklaws, sluggas, chainchoppaz, and the like.

And sneaky kamo!

But tis still just a weedy lil beta, I'm sure the full-blown version will be even more awesome.

1 Trukk @ [55] Pts

Troops: Nobz (3#, 190 Pts)

Fast Attack: 110 points
2 Warbuggies: 1 Skorcha, Arm plates, red, 1 Buggy, arm plates, red paint, grot riggers, TL rokkits

Naturally the burnaboys go into the looted rhino, the warboss rolls with the seven nobz, and if I feel like it, I split the buggies up into two units for extra fun. I worried about having 11 killpoints on the table, some as easy to earn as poppin the armor, but the almighty swarm usually wins for me. I rarely see my orks beaten, and I really wanted to see the burnas get back onto the table after their trukk was stolen from them. I like flame templates, as you can see. There are way too many skorchas in this list, far, far too many.

Comments welcome.

I was hoping another Ork player would pop in to comment, but here's my two cents on it.

1) You Boss and the Nobz should be able to rip s**t up fairly well, even though they're only armed with standard Choppas. Those Kombi-Skorchas should do really nicely to cut holes through anything less than MEQ, and then with Furious Charge they'll be able to rip holes through anything in Assault.

2) Biker Nobz are terrifying. 'Nuff said. They have a ridiculous amount of shooting and then, once in Assault, very little will be able to easily dislodge them.

3)I love Burnaz, 'cause they're a great multi-task unit. They'll be able to cleanly plow through most that gets in their way, given that the Skorchas can count as Power Weapons in CC. That's the best way to gut an Imperial Dog, after all.

Why do you even stick rokkits to the trukks? The trukks will most likely move as fast as they can, making them unable to fire, and if they do fire the rokkits they most likely won't hit, so it's a complete waste of points, if you take them for tank-hunting you should put your bet on the nobz instead with PK's. My tips is to remove them and spend the points on something else, that'd be 15 points to spare I think.

I think you could do well without the red paintjob, when I use it myself it's just because I have spare points, but you put it on all vehicles, you could get a spare 35 point if you take i away, and perhaps make the nobz's trukk... I dunno, armoured?

I wouldn't have the buggy and skorcha trak in the same unit if I were you, if one goes immobile it dies, why not split them up? It's better since the enemy will need to split up their fire to take both out rather than getting lucky with one and taking them both out.

The spare 50 points so to say that I would have removed could be... 2 more burnas and armoured plates on 2 of the trukks.

Ok, that's alot of negative rant... For just some small stuff... XD;;;

The good things about the list is that it's fast (but it lacks numbers, could be good depending on the scenario) but as soon as you get into combat it shouldn't be a problem I guess.

It sure can krump alot of stuff with the nob bikers and the nob trukkers, why not spend some points for a bad dok somewhere? I promise you it's a good choice, my nobz mob only took one casulty with a dok in my 10 man strong nobz mob against Space Marines, thanks to the dok himself and the wound allocation rules since no nob was identical to the other one.

The boss seems killy too, using the skorcha before gettin' some action, I like that combo... But I don't have a kombi skorcha myself... ;__;

Burnas in a looted wagon is ace, I use the same tactic myself (or I let them steal a trukk from someone, since my burna boyz is from a deffskullz salvage team).

The koptas could need a buzzsaw if you wish to get close and personal with enemy vehicles, but rokkits is enough, but is it as fun as crashing into an enemy vehicle? ;D

It might not do well against killpoint scenarios, but objective holder ones should not be a problem at all, unless you meet a Goff list... Seriously... Our locla goff player fielded over 90 ork boyz, 2-3 killa kanz and warboss in a 1000 points battle!

But it's a pretty solid list, but as I mentioned I'd make a few changes myself. ;D

WAAAGH!

Edit: I'd like to see this list in a dawn of war scenario game, seeing your opponents face when all your troops move in fast onto the table.

Your notes on the rokkits are a little odd to me. My trukks usually get one vehicle kill between the lot of them per game. After the boys get out, i'll group the trukks together and send them angrily after their biggest monster/tank. even if I only shake that land raider, that's good, it saves me some casualties.

Deffcoptaz, yah, I've thought about riggin up a nice saw, I thought about using a trio of chain-chopps, or maybe one of those leftover big chain axes from the AOBR nobz. I recently added a bigbomb, just because it excites me.

The buggies, yah I usually split them up. I wrote them into that list as one unit mostly because it would have made the list a two-pager if I added another entry. But yah, rest assured they're split up most of the time.

As for the burnaz, I have only those few. Over half are straight conversions, I ran out of all my possible flamer bitz building those gitz, and they all look awesome. Believe me, I'd like to fill that looted wagon to the brim.

As for PK's? Gork, those are a pain in the a** to fabricate from plasticard. I've got to get some of those new plastic nobz.

Killpoint scenarios do not scare me. My guard has a hard time with them suddenly, but me boyz are so morkin' fast I usually get more kill points in the first few turns than they get the whole battle.

Thanks for the input though.

To me it looks like yer just lucky with your trukks then... ;D

And go get that nob plastic set! They're AWESOME! Gonna get myself another box and 2 other bike boxes and make me some biker nobz myself unless I order the FW ones.

On another note, I stumbeled upon this at the-waaagh... And it makes my eye leak of joy... ; w ;

THAT... IS...
...AWESOME!!!!!!

Also, I went to the gamestore for another game, and was about to buy some nore nobz. That kit just looked good. But I figured I'd have a game and think on it. $25 for 5 guys is a little steep, even though it's the best deal GW has right now.

Nabbed another victory, btw. Silly beakies, when will you learn that deepstriking terminators and thunderhammer captains never win against burnaboyz? tisk tisk.

Then the guy who's Salamanders I stomped offered to trade me about 40 new sluggaboyz, a tankbusta mob, two direct-exclusive grot oilers (whee?), a tankbustas mob, half a AOBR set, (all the ork stuff) and a new blister of the pewter burnaboyz, (over $100 value in all) For a space marine devvie squad.

He figured it would fare better than the terminators against my orks. So I bought him a new $35 devvie box, and I walked off with about 2000 points in ork s**t. I'm gladI didn't spring for the nobz. Now I've got 5 more anyway, as well as an entire ork ARMY. for THIRTY FIVE BUCKS.

Sorry for the rant, I just had to share this awesome find. I love my gaming club. They always lose, and they give out great deals.

Anyone want some deffcoptas? I got three extra? Warboss? now I got two AOBR warbosses for sale.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 02, 2009 3:28 am

I would still have gone for the nobz box to be honest...
I'd field over-equipped nobz mob before boyz, mostly because the sheer awesome-ness, my nob mob costs 405 points without their battle wagon transport, 10 nobz in total, one of them being a dok... and no nob is having the same equipment so the wound allocation rule is what keeps them alive... x3
