I like The barri Sax the best, just for the sake of it's low sexy sound. But I'm a tenor player, I play all sax, but mostly end up with a tenor in hand, I'm the best at it.
(even tho I end up cunducting my Pep band more often than I play in it... Dang, why did I have to be the assistant director...)

V Octane V I play alto sax and im really good t it, next year im going up to tenor sax and i want a challenge wahmbulance domokun xd well then it should be a real challenge because like our best alto player switched to the tenor and she can hardly get a low note on it and shes been playing the alto for about ehh 3 years now..i had to give her my beginning band book so she could practice the low notes and its sorta funny cuz she used to always talk crap about me not being able to hit middle c on the tenor since she was able to do it just fine on the alto..but now shes in my shoes and knows what im going through trying to hit middle c on the tenor..wats weird is that i sorta did 1 year then skipped a year then came back this year and im sounding great except for my low notes so what ill do is make the whole song an octave higher..my BD hasnt noticed yet..lol...

Oh no! Whoever updated the poll, you forgot to record the results of the old one! whee
Anyway, about the new one, I play sax in concert and jazz band, but I voted jazz 'cause after I graduate high school I don't plan on playing sax in a concert band again. I don't really like the sound of saxes in concert band. If I do concert band in college (which I will if I can), I'm gonna play clarinet in it. 3nodding

It's odd, I could get low notes the first time I played tenor. Then again I started on Bass clarinet, so my experience with getting out hard notes was well off. (high notes on bass clarinet are harder to hit than low notes on a tenor, but oddly I've found it's the same technique to hit them)

It's much more suited for concert/classical music than the sax.

If it seems like it will take too long, or it costs too much, use a peice of double sided tape and stick it back on until your finished with auditioning. Don't leave it longer than nesecary, though.

That would be the best thing to do.

I play the tenor saxophone in my school's Jazz Band--w00t! For some reason, I can outplay our symphonic band's first chair [who's also in jazz band], when I've been only playing for about a year. O__o
Any other tenors out there? (:
