Slipping in and out of her meditation state, as random thoughts or questions jumped at her from out of nowhere, Shuiro continued to work at her advanced chakra control... as advanced as it would go atleast. She wondered if there were even more than one stage to this... If there was Etna wouldn't hesitate in telling them once they were done with this phase. Or so she hoped. She wasn't too fond of surprises... atleast when she was expecting something to happen. If she has no clue then it's alright... most of the time. A small spark crackled at the tips of her fingers, making her close her eyes tighter and focus more on the light bulb and the flow her chakra was creating. She couldn't afford to break the bulb when she'd been doing so weel so far. She wanted food even more now though... as her stomach alerted her to its needs with a long semi-loud growl. A small blush crossed her face as she placed a 'I have no clue where that came froma nd I don't care' expression over the hungry one. She swallowed and ignored the empty feeling inside her. Perhaps the cat would let them get food soon. She knew the feline wouldn't bother herself with grabbing them a bite to eat... Nor would she allow them to leave in the middle of training. Shuiro only hoped that they were doinbg well enough to leave soon. Then she would be fed and continue the training on her own, most likely...

With each growl her stomach made, the light bulb would flicker and dim before brightening again. The sight was almost laughworthy. Resting her arms on her crossed legs, keeping her fingertips in the right place, for maximum flow of chakra, she opened her eyes and turned her head away from the light. She spotted Roy over there still, unaware of how much progress he'd gotten done. Being blind was seriously annoying her... In the background, Shuiro could hear the rumblelike bretahing of Cerberus, Etna's summon... which was creepy. Not only was she a talking cat, which was somewhat normals for shinobi pets, she had her own summon... It had been unheard of... Atleast it was now known to be possible. Her stomach growled again, it's noise combined with the scuffling sound the new girl was making as she climbed up the cliffside. If she could use her static 'sight' she could see all around her... She could tell how far the girl had gotten up the hill, how much of a rock Roy had made, where Etna was pacing... The possibilities were a long list. She wondered if she spoke now about food, would Etna get pissed off? Normally she could care less if a sensei got amd at her... The last sensei she had... well, she practically drove him away. He ditched her during a mission... It was kinda sad, really... Though he did teach her a cool jutsu. Anyways, Etna was different... She was, well, a lot more powerful than any sensei she'd ever had before... And she didn't think Etna would hesitate in killing those who got in her way... Then again, people do surprise you... Never judge a book by its cover... that was a rule, no? Of course, there were still exceptions to the rule...

Again, again, and again, Shuiro went through the same process. Closing her eyes, she saw in the darkness what she wanted her body to do for her. She saw a reflection of herself, black with a glowing outline. Then, within herself, she imagines chakra as thin blue lines intertwining themselves around her growing large in some areas, and stretching as thin as possible in others. The largest ball of chakra resided in her stomach... there it was unmoving, or it it moved it was just thricling. The Chamber above it, in her chest, was the second largest, it swirled rapidly. It them flowed down one arm and slowed, easing into her hands and fingertips before entering the bulb making it's glow as bright as ever. From there, it eased it's way out through the figers of her other hand andbegan moving faster up her arm and back into the twisting pool of static chakra. She let a sigh escape her as she opened her eyes and looked away quickly. This bulb was much brighter than her last three... and the soft buzz it usually made was murprisingly quieter than before as well. This must have been a sure sign that she was doing better, much better... She just hoped the others would acknoledge it as well. If they didn'r, however, she would atleast know that she could do advanced chakra training... and no one could tell her otherwise. She would take pride in that.

[DC=Chakra Control-2+Str Mod-2+1d20-5=9]
Yumi would stand up on the back of Cerberus. She wobbled a little bit as she stood. She leanred out to the all face and reached for it trying to reattach herself to the wall to be able to climb back up it and reach the rest of the group of the top of the plateau. Yumi was slightly hesitant after her fall earlier, but she was trying to not let it affect her current training.
She didn't manage to attach her hand to the wall face. She tried to pull herself up only to slide back down slowly. She looked at her hand trying to focus the chakra into her hand to be able to rejoin her new team members. This was going to be a trying experience climbing back up almost as trying as falling down the cliff trying to keep herself from plummeting from the top of the plateau.

[DC=Chakra Control-2+Str Mod-2+1d20-2=6 Fail]
This training was going to be tough but she hoped that she would finish it in a reasonable amount of time. Yumi didn't ever think she would be some superb shinobi in their village but that she would be able to hold her own at least. Thats not where she limited herself to as far as her abilities, but she was somewhat realistic. She was still standing on top of Cerberus as she reached for a ledge on the wall again to pull herself up.
She was having a tough time getting started. That was apparent otherwise she would have been attached to the wall already. Her chakra control would definitely need to improve if she was to become good enough to continue through the ranks. She let go of the ledge that she had tried to latch onto. It didn't hurt when she didn't attach herself to the cliff-side but it was an odd feeling having chakra focused on one point of your body.

[DC=Chakra Control-2+Str Mod-2+1d20-11=15 Fail]
This was her third attempt to get started on the wall face. It was the same amount of distance to climb back up the wall face as it was down. However the distance down seemed to happen so much faster. She knew why that was but it was always an awkward thing. Yumi looked down then looked up at the rock face as if preparing herself for the training ahead.
Yumi might as well had her hand slapped by the wall face. It couldn't but it was as if she couldnt control her chakra well enough to attach her hand to help her up the wall. She let her hand slipped down the rock face. She was getting a little frustrated but didn't punch the wall like she wanted to.

[[Sorry for vanishing ladies. I do apologize. Got a little bit messed up. Ayumi, you are right. The DC is the same to get back up the wall. Since Etna is assuming you don’t have proper chakra control training, she’s allowing you to climb up with your strength and chakra. She’ll give you advice in a second which will give you a +2 to your checks for this exercise
Rin, basically what I mean is for each bulb you light successfully, the next DC will be reduced by 10%. So say that the DC for your first attempt was 100 and you got a bulb lit before the 5 turn limit. Your next DC would be calculated by taking 100 and multiplying it by .90 which will give you 90. So your new DC would be 90. Now, if you got another bulb lit, you would multiply 90 by .90 and get 81.]]
Etna looked over the edge to the girl that was trying to climb back up the rock. She was safe from any real falling harm as Cerberus had found himself a comfortable spot and was laying down, relaxing and had fallen asleep. He liked coming to this realm every now and then… it was cooler.
Etna glanced down to the girl and smiled, “Well now, you really aren’t that special are you girly. Hmmm, you aren’t feeling your chakra properly. You are simply forcing your way through this. Channel your chakra first to either your hands or your feet and force it to stay there. The chakra will create a bond between your flesh and the surface it touches. Not a strong one but it will allow you to stick better.” (for the rest of this exercise, you get a +2 bonus to your check)
Too much… far too much really. His chakra was pushed out in too harsh a wave. He had done training using both hands cupping things before but because of the fine, gritty nature of this sand. It was too fine and the extra chakra, without compressing it first, cause it to burst out from the cracks in his hand like someone droping a bag of flour. It flew everywhere and it flew there quickly. He only barely had enough time to look away before the blast came near him. His hair, his jacket, unmentionables, everywhere where the sand could go, it did.
A few coughs came from the boy as a little had gotten into his nose and mouth. There wasn’t enough left within his hands to use so he simply discarded it back into the bag and scooped out a bit more for use. He wasn’t going to let one failure discourage him. He would continue and he would beat this no matter what.

(Alright, thanks for that. ^_^)
Shuiro set her brightly glowing bulb down next to the others, letting its light go out. Part of her wanted to go over to the cliffside and try to help the girl down below but her imagination stopped her. Most of these images consisted of Etna pushing people off the cliff, setting the giant dog on people, and a variety of other things. Instead she shuddered to herself and picked up another lightbulb... one she hoped would be her last, as it would mean that she had learned the technique. So she made herself comfortable, as comfortable as she could get with a growling stomach, and placed the bulb in position between her fingers. Closing her eyes again, she pictured that same dark reflection of herself with the glowing chakra flowing through her. The glowing ball of static chakra in her chest was the brightest part of her... and she could feel it inside herself too. She could hear a light spark and crackle at first, but it lowered into the familiar soft buzz she had grown acustomed to over... How long had it been? Right then, she wasn't so sure... it could have been an hour or so... and yet less than that at the same time. Deciding she'd figure out what the time was later, she got back to work and let the flow enter into the bulb with ease, and leave just as nicely... It wouldn't do for her to screw up now... She wouldn't allow that to happen, she'd probably get really pissed if she did fail. But it wouldn't happen... She had gotten pretty good at it so far... She was sure she'd finish it.

She felt the chakra flow through her so... naturally for such a high level technique... it was somewhat surprising to her. She could feel the storage chamber of chakra inside her remain dormant, no chakra leaked from there now. The pulsing chamber, on the other hand, was more active that it had ever been before. That was a shock in itself. She was so used to just pulsing her chakra outwards and loosing the static from there that the recycling of her chakra gave her a newer and warmer feel, like the inside of her had a little burning fire that was very much alive. She could feel its heat radiate down her arms and into her hands, the static that escaped her fingers found themselves slipping through that thin metal wire inside the bulb, leaving one hand as a positive charge, and exiting the bulb into the other hand as a negative charge. As she thought about this, she realized that her recycling the chara was changing its charge back to positive as well. She wondered if she could start with a negative charge and reverse it... but didn't want to experiment with that theory at the moment. Finishing the task was what she needed to do... she could always experiment on her free time. Ther was no problem with that... might actually give her something to do...

She snuck another glance Roy's way... and wondered why she even bothered when she couldn't even see... Then a funny little smirk played across her face. Though she was busy enough with doing the task at hand, she had a tiny craving to be an idiot. Growing up in Kumogakure, in the particular family enviorment she and her brother had, everyone, no matter what, treated the twin like children... like they didn't understand anything. Eversince then, her and her brother decided to just go with it... act as if they couldn't comprehend... it made the others happy... As long as they knew what they were capable of, the twins were fine with what they did. Atleast their teachers in the Kumo academy tried to teach them. Unfortunately they had carried their prankish ways to Iwa with them when they separated from their family in the great move. Now everyone here thought she and Shinku were just a couple of brainless oafs as well. She could handle people calling her annoying and smartass, but never stupid, not anymore anyways... Now new insults were added to her, and they weren't even her fault... it was just how her body had grown... Shaking her head of words of the past, she also got rid of the thought of doing something stupid. She was probably gonne have to break that habit soon... or atleats try. Concentraiting on the lightbulb once more... she realized that the glow hadn't flickered or dimmed the entire time she had been of in her own little world.

The ligthbulb had gotten about as bright as possible... and Shuiro was proud of this fact. This exercise had given her amazing progress in her chakra control development, as well as intruiging results. To her, these results were well worth the time and effort she had put into them. Right now, this felt very close to the end for her... not the end as in the end of her life or anything, but as in she was close to finishing. It was something she could almsot feel in a way. She let the static chakra inside her flow for another good five minutes... it seemed to be a good measure for her anyways. Eventually she got a tad tired and loosesned her girp on the bulb a bit... The light dimmed immediately. Then she decided it was time to cut off the power entirely. Opening her eyes to see a now lightless lightbulb, she placed it next to the others she had used and done well with. She felt like she should rest a bit before she started another one up again. Let her muscles relax and such... Stretching her back by lacing her fingers together and lifting her arms above her head, she heard a small but distinct popping noise... She felt the sweet release as she lowered her arms and then indulged herself by rif=dding her body of what barred her chakra. Feeling a heavy flwo of chakra exit her body, she could then 'see' again. Roy to the side doing quite well with his rock, Etna pacing back and forth, the Giant Cerberus, that made her shudder, standing benieth the girl on the cliff... and then the girl trying to worm her way back ot the top. She wondered how the child wasn't scared at all with such a beat below her...

A better result this time around. He was getting his focus back a bit more now but it was still lacking in places. He was gathering his chakra into both hands but instead of pushing full chakra into both, he was pumping only about half into both hands. This force of chakra pumping back through his body and into his hands. He clasped them tightly together to seal the sand within his hands. A silent growl came about in his throat as he continued to focus and channel the chakra.
His eyes glanced about the field for a second. Etna had said something to double d and she was blazing through the test now. Whatever it was was pretty damn useful apparently. A few moments ago, Roy was ahead of the girl in terms of completions but now she had almost surpassed him. As for the other girl Yumi, he saw Etna at the edge talking to her. A huge red glow had appeared a few moments earlier. It was a familiar glow that Roy would shudder over if he had the time and wasn’t focused so hard on this. Apparently the girl had failed in her efforts or else Etna wouldn’t have called the Demon Dog… or maybe… maybe the girl was being pushed to her limits by being forced to AVOID the dogs jaws. Either way, it wasn’t a pretty thought as to what might be happening to her. She was new and yet she was already dog food… pity.

[DC=Chakra Control-2+Str Mod-2+Etna's advice-2+1d20-13=19 Passl]
Yumi looked up the rock face from the back of Cerberus up towards Etna. She listened intently to what the cat had to say. It was good advice and Yumi would try to take advantage of it. She would wait a while before she would try to cling onto the wall again. "Thanks Etna." She said and hopefully she would hear her.
She focused her chakra into her hands and felt the chakra came into her arms and down into her hands. She extended her hand to the wall face. It felt different than it had earlier. She grabbed it firmly and pulled herself up a little bit. Her foot still rested on Cerberus' back but she took her other arm with chakra flowing through it and grabbed a ledge and pulled herself up again. She was off the dog's back and now on her own as she started her adventure back up the cliffside.

[DC=Chakra Control-2+Str Mod-2+Etna's advice-2+1d20-17=23]
Yumi was slightly excited to see that she had made it up the cliff side just a little bit. She looked upwards and saw that she still had quite a ways to go but at least she got the ball rolling on making it up the cliff side. She appreciated Etna's advice and help. It made this training a little bit easier.
Yumi focused her chakra into her hands again and focused. Her hands radiated a little bit with her chakra. It wasn't great control but it was going to get better after this training. At least she hoped so. She pulled herself up to another rock with her right hand. It was quickly followed by her left hand. She pulled herself up. Her feet were placing themselves naturally on the rock faces as she moved up the side. She didn't have chakra focused in the soles of her feet but she was using them to help sturdy herself on the rock face.

(Alrighty, now let Shuiro hear those sweet words 'you are finished!' XD)
'Seeing' that the girl was almost halfway up the cliff, after failed attempts to get of of the dog's head, Shuiro got to her feet and walked over to the cliff herself. Hoping that Etna didn't decide to push her over, probably into the waiting Cerberus's mouth. Seeing bareing the blurred colors of the girl against the dark rockside, but 'seeing' her perfectly with her 'other' sense, she called down to the girl with a bit of help. "Not sure if you were already told or anything but... it helps to also feel around for your next handhold. Chakra can't always save you if what you grip onto breaks away. Make sure you just feel around a bit before moving upwards... and try using your previous handholds as footholds." Well no duh, I probably just stated the obvious there... oh well, it's not like I was watching her the entire time...
