Kiera shut her eyes and clutched her knees to her chest. "Even then, she still has Evelyn." Her body became rigid. "Among other things." Dante's expression saddened. "But.. we can't just.." He looked to Veira. "Mom... she's just demotivating you.. she's just using mind games." Kiera put her chin on her knees and her hands on her head. "That's all she's ever done, Dante. Don't you see that? Mind games is her territory. And with it she ruins us." Dante looked to Kiera. "No but.. Kiera we can't.." "We lost, Dante." Mordekai held Kyle close to him as Demi went to his side. "So what's the options then. Do something and get killed. Or not do anything and get killed." Demi frowned. "Honey-" "I'm right aren't I? Dante, you're not wrong. We need to do something. Even if the outcome is the same. I mean there's a chance that we can change something."

*Veria nodded sadly. "i didn't say we need to stop thinking of ways. Theres always a backup to ever situation. I as supporting keria all this time know this. Games are sorta my thing... but i'm slipping... i cant put my finger on what else to do. WHat can stop her, free evelyn, and make her more exposed so we can seriously do some damige. What we need... is somthing to lure Ameile in with. We just dont have anything but keria for that, and i dont even think she wants keria anymore. Even more so she can hear anything we say or think, whihc makes this game even harder to play. She holds the rules, and she has made the board. We are just the pieces taht have to keep paying in when we land right back on sqaure one."

Mordekai sighed. "And we don't know what Amelie wants anymore." Kiera groaned. "She doesn't need a reason to do what she does. She just does it." Mordekai growled a little. "Don't you think I know that? She's my sister. I've seen what she's grown into over the centuries. And believe me, if anyone knows what she is. It's me." His eyes thinned. "Believe it or not, Amelie used to be a good person. Amelie used to be shy, anxious, she kept to herself. Hell she didn't even used to talk to me and Hikari because she was so scared. Over the years I've seen her develop into the person she is today. She's corrupted, twisted.. Long life does this to a person. She's had so much time to perfect what she does." Kiera scowled at him. "That's ********> it." She stood up and brushed herself off. "I'm ending this now. I'm sick and tired of your whining." Demi looked hopeful. "I'll back you up." Kiera picked up Paradioa again. "Good. Where we're going I'm going to need a little help." Dante blinked. "What're you going to do?" Kiera brushed her fingers through her hair with a small smile. "Play a little game of my own. Russian Roulette."

*Veria looked up, "hmmm? Not sure i have played that game before." She took a deep breath, "what would you like me and the others to do sister? Shall we stay so we aren't in the way, or perhaps..." she looked away, "in case i do anything else stupid..." Paraioda's eye appeared as the cofen was picked up, did this make him part of keria again? He rather have hoped so, "mistreeessss i'm glad to seee that look on your face again..." a smerk appeared as he chukkled silently. This time even veria didn't understand. BUt maybe that was becuse this was the real keria, no ying or yang, jsut keria. and paradioa was there in the past when it was just keria, far before veria was even born. "Just call and i will give whatever support i can." Veria replied.

Kiera grinned. "Will do. You guys stay here and make sure nothing like what happened just now happens again. I don't want anyone else here getting hurt." Demi walked over to Kiera with a smile. "Lets burn her." Kiera nodded and grabbed Demi's hand, all buddy-like as she looked to Dante. "Easy peasy, right?" The three disappeared. Mordekai sighed. "Veira, do you know what Russian Roulette is?" He tilted his head to the side and made a gun shape with his hand and pointed it to his head. "A gamble in itself. The ultimate gamble."
Kiera, Demi and Paradioa appeared in some dark catacombs deep underground. So much so that it made Demi's and Kiera's ears pop. The first thing they both did was light up the area with their fire. It helped that they were both Phoenix's. Kiera tracked Amelie's soul once again down to this place. "So what, just the three of you now?" Amelie sat in a great stone throne at the very end of the room, draped over it casually as she spun a small glass tablet that Kiera had been hiding in her drawer. "How to kill a Phoenix." She read from it. "Interesting read. Although I've read better things." Amelie smashed the glass tablet against the stone and it shattered into millions of pieces on the floor in front of her. Amelie cocked her head to look at them all. "Is this all the welcoming party I get?" Kiera's eyes burned as suddenly her body became scorchingly hot. "This is the welcoming and leaving party."

*Paradioa added a evil chukkle to make the moment more interesting. However his eyes were fixed on Demi at the moment. She was jsut as powerful as keria or so... but much wiser and in control as far as abiltiys... he wondered something.
Meanwhile verias eye grew wide, "why... would she do that! I dont understand that game then." She blinked, "what is the rules? how many people play? how do you win or loose." She was eger to know, was keria going to make it back or put herself even further on the line then before? At this point Shortstraw finally stepped out and leaned on the doorsill, "she'll be back. she promesed she wouldn't do herself in anymore. i could see it in her eyes, she ment it."

Mordekai pulled a face as he pulled his hand down. "It's not a... logical game per say. It involves one revolver, one bullet, and a small group of people. Doesn't matter on the amount of people. Your odds are still the same." He looked to the ground. "One person puts one bullet in the cylinder of the revolver and spins it as they slot it back in. They don't know which place the bullet is. They take turns to fire the gun at their head and whoever gets shot by the bullet dies." Mordekai thought. "I'd imagine when Kiera said she was going to play Russian Roulette she was using that as a metaphor. Being she's probably going to do something very risky."
Amelie looked mildly surprised. "Oh? That's fighting talk right there. That's my girl." She grinned and sat up properly before standing up and putting her hands on her hips. "So what's it going to be? Heads or tails?" Kiera smirked. "Tails." Amelie nodded and flicked a coin into the air before catching it in her palm and peering inside. "Heads." Amelie smiled. "So sorry." Kiera shook her head. "No, I am." Amelie's eyes suddenly widened. "Where did-" Demi's hand was on Amelie's head. "The other one go?" Demi shot a high pressured shot of pure heat into Amelie's head which sent her to the floor, making a deep dent. Kiera's eyes thinned. "Stay on your toes. This isn't over yet. Not that easy." But Kiera seemed confident. They'd managed to at least get a hit in.

Veria smiled, "course paradioa will make it so no damige is inflicted on her when she ends up the one hurt. Smart, and a vary risky game." She giggled, "i do wonder if mother can possably win that one..." she chukkled, "becuse yokai dont belive in bullets, but somthing rather... more." She seemed more into spirt, "There is hope then." She looked to Donte, "in the meantime however what do you think will happen to Evelyn? I do not dilike her much anymore, she's... a interesting one i like to watch."

Mordekai shrugged. "I have no idea what's happened to Evelyn." He scratched his head. "It's like she's not anywhere."
Unsurprisingly, as Kiera and Demi backed up a little on either side of the hole they created, tens of jet black vectors snaked their way up and out of the hole as they grabbed onto the edges with their claws. "That.. that wasn't very nice.." Amelie's voice was corrupted and broken, almost metallic. She slowly climbed out of the hole and stared her deep red eyes at Kiera. Black blood seeped out of her head, but she didn't seem to be so bothered about it. Ruffed up, Amelie didn't seem so cocky. Now she was just angry. Amelie then turned and stared at Demi. "I thought I killed you two-hundred years ago." Demi smiled and raised a finger. "Reborn." Amelie's eyes thinned. "Ah yes, I've been using the wrong methods." She grinned back to Kiera. "And thanks to my daughter. I've now learned the correct way." Amelie crawled to her feet and wobbled a bit before becoming steady. The blood was now creating a pool around her as it dripped into the hole. "I'll have to deal with you after I killed this one." Amelie suddenly held her hand out as Demi froze and shook slightly. Kiera shook her head. "No, you're not hurting her." Kiera was suddenly next to Amelie with her own hand against Amelie's chest. Amelie smiled. "My my, now haven't we got ourselves into quite the predicament." She smirked. "Shoot me, and you'll be killing Evelyn. To add in a little bonus, I'll kill the Phoenix too."

*Veria's vioce came into kerias head, "you are a decendent of Shadow from our father, you are also close enough, you can remove evelyns soul tempararly from ameiles body, while paradioa can protect..." however paradioa was suddenly not int he coffen but rather seeping alittle into ameile, "fool... you will do no such thing." Her shadow sudden had two red eyes. "The answer to my riddle was Paranioa. I own your shadow, you do my bidding." He made her move her hand to her own head, "mistressss it's now your turn..." veria nodded as her vioce appeared again, "you can do it now keria! Quickly!"

As Kiera's hand pulled itself into Amelie's body and pulled out Evelyn's soul Amelie smiled. "Whoops~" Amelie's hand was released from Demi, but it turned out that Amelie's hold on her was the only thing keeping her alive. Demi fell to the floor and Kiera knocked Amelie back into the hole she'd created with her other hand. "YOU b***h!" Kiera jumped down into the hole after her and shot multiple heat bullets into her skull and chest. "So sorry.." Amelie said weakly, even though Kiera was still shooting her. "This was never meant.. to be a fairytale.." Even as Amelie died Kiera kept shooting and shooting. Her wailing turned to crying and she ended up grasping Amelie's broken neck and shaking her head up and down. "NOW WHAT? NOW WHAT? WHAT'RE YOU GOING TO DO NOW MOM? WHAT PLAN IS UP YOUR ******** SLEEVE?" She kept shaking Amelie's limp head. "LISTEN TO ME!" Kiera sobbed and eventually stopped, ducking her head down below Amelie's bloodied chin. "Listen to me mom..."

*Paradioa glared, "Damnit..." he looked to keria and went back into the coffen. However he wouldn't say any more. Right now didn't seem the time. However around this point it seemed veria appeared with mordikei, "quickly get to her quickly. If she's still got any breath i can revive her!" They would rush to demi and see if they could treat her. This was wrong, now kyle would grow up without his mother... and her uncle would be alone forever. It was sadning to veria as she looked to mordikei about to cry herself... "she's..."

Mordekai was quickly at Demi's side as he pulled her into his lap. "DEMI!" He broke down. "Demi no.." He checked her pulse. Nothing. He shook a little and started to cry as he stared at Demi's lifeless eyes. "No Demi.. you can't do this.. not now.. Not when we'd just started again..." He cried more and pulled her to a tight hug to his chest and cradled her empty body as he shook. "You don't... you don't ever get hurt.." He cried out. "I can't... I can't raise Kyle alone.. you'd always say I was a bad role model.." Kiera however was still in the hole, craned over Amelie's body. "Mom.. why does it hurt..?" She sobbed to herself, and suddenly her eyes widened as Amelie's body shattered into pieces, just like the glass tablet from only minutes before. Kiera slammed her hands against the floor and almost retched.

*Veria glared, "if she is to be reborn... her body will turn to ashes..." she stared, "please aunty..." she suddenly teliported somthing into her hand, "i... i dont wanna loose her. I havn't got to know her enought yet." she sobbed. She blamed herself as she threw herself aside and stood up, "I SHOULD HAVE TELIPROTED SOONER! I could have saved her! I could... have... save her." She sobbed more. She then looked to keria down the whole, "sister... sister is evelyn okay! Did you ... did you at least save her?"

Kiera retched against the ground but nodded as she sat up and tilted her head to the ceiling with her eyes closed. "Yeah.." She held her arm up with Evelyn's soul in her palm. "I got her." Mordekai had gone still as he held Demi close to him. "Please Demi.." He breathed slowly. "I can't do this without you." He waited, and he waited. But nothing happened. Demi didn't burst into ashes. Mordekai hadn't seen Demi be reborn in his lifetime so he wasn't sure how it worked or if it would. To his understanding, Demi never died, or got hurt. Demi was always such a strong person. She never even needed to make an effort. And now his sister had killed his wife? Was this another nightmare Amelie had fabricated for him? He'd had too many like this.
