Domesticated War

[Duchess Marie]

"Hey," protested one of the soldiers, "just because the princess likes to have everyone spotless does not mean that we are helpless."

Kian backed away a bit. "Well....statistically since your people don't fight you would not inherit any body strength to work on."  

[Duchess Marie]

The guys looked at each other, "I did not think that the Silverblades were scholars. Or are you a doctor, then?"  

[Reciter5613]

"Well.....I'm kinda a......sister, what did you say I was like?"  

[Duchess Marie]

"He is a strategist, he can calculate strength," Kia nodded.  

[Reciter5613]

"Right. I was thinking you may not be best for brute strength but can make up in speed and agility. Like with light weapons or something."  

[Duchess Marie]

He looked at the heavy sword in his hand, "what about the enemy who has heavy weapons?"  

[Reciter5613]

"Heavy weapons are powerful but slow. They can be dodged easily."  

[Duchess Marie]

The guys looked at each other, "you mean like runaway? I would not have expected a Silverblade to say that either."  

[Reciter5613]

"Not run away." Kian then got a stick and held it like a sword. Then he started moving around. "Like this. Dodge their attacks then quickly strike when you see an opening."  

[Duchess Marie]

He handed his sword off to his friend and grabbed a stick, too. "One more time," he invited Kian.

Kian showed him what he meant. Every time the shimmer boy attacked Kian dodged him a few times and hit him when he was open. He didn't hit hard since he was not a fighter type but it did show what he meant.

The other Shimmers thought that the younger, smaller Kian doing so well was hilarious. They laughed each time their teammate took a hit and jeered for him to move faster.

"There now. You see this kind of fighting style is best for you Shimmers. I suggests rapiers as weapons."  

[Duchess Marie]

"Perhaps when your brother returns we can talk to him about it. Currently, we do not have a leader of our combat force."
