noko shrugged at wanda. " ill pick you out something then. " she said with a grin. " maybe something with cherries. " he teased before looking at corky. " Weve got a ride. " she said motioning to lance's jeep. " Let me go upstairs and actually get out of my pjs' though " she said shifting to reveal it was just her pj bottoms and tank she was wearing. " you can pick out my clothes so your not embaressed. " she said with a smirk before heading upstairs. Reaching up behind her head she pulled her hair down from its bun. the shift of everything having ended her hair was long curly and pure white once again. " thought your not likely to find anything what you would consider normal. " she said flopping on the bed earning a groan from the sleeping john under the covers. " oh go back to sleep " she muttered at him.

Penny stood up from the kitchen table after she was done eating. She looked at Jacen and Morgan, "I'm not abandoning you guys... I'll be back in like thirty minutes. I need a shower."

The smell of blood, sweat and dirt was caked into her hair which made them pound into her head like a freight train. She was also very tired still and needed a break from the surounding of people. She made a bee line up the stairs to the girl's shower room. Not even waiting until she got into the shower she threw off her infirmary gown and then turned on the water.

Hot. She let the water pound on her head and sat with her back to the wall on the floor. The shower was nice so she just sat there for awhile like nothing else mattered. For awhile she thought about the hounds, well the hounds this afternoon. How life was going to be different. The she felt like an a** for trying to act like everything was okay. Everything wasn't okay. Some psycho maniac was out there trying to anihilate mutants.

"A day in the life," She sighed and reached above her head to raise the heat. Resting her head back she closed her eyes thinking about the beach sand beneath her feet. Two weeks was going to be too short.

"Hey, other people have to get a shower," Rogue yelled into the bathroom.

"Yea, yea," Penny grumbled and turned the water off. She pushed the curtain open and stepped out to grab a towel and robe. Rogue threw them at her and took over a shower. Leaving a trail of water behind her Penny dried out her hair on the way to her room. She saw Porter walking down the corridor and asked him about the other kids.

"Good, this place would be good for him," She said about Blair and went into her room throwing the towel on the floor. Pulling a suitcase out of her closet she started throwing random things into it while finding something to wear. With a brush in one hand she went back downstairs. At least I don't smell like blood anymore... can we leave yet?

"You think so? He is older, you'd think he would know these things..." Regina sighed, and looked down the hall. There was the kitchen. Her stomach growled. "Erk..." she looked down, not noticing Freya's expression or the change of face when she started thinking her plots.

"Hey, you want to get something to eat? Bet there's a mini buffet on the counter by now." Regina offered, looking longingly at the kitchen.

Jacen spoke briefly with Morgan as Penance dismissed herself from the table. It was odd here, everyone actually got along somewhat, not like the Brotherhood house where everyone was seemingly at each other's throats. It was actually rather pleasant not having to yell at Toad for being a nuisance or just plain smelling like a**.

There were people filing in and out of the kitchen as Jacen sat there slowly picking at his food. It had already grown cold by during the time he had been sitting there. For whatever reason, even though he hadn't had anything to eat in a few days, wasn't hungry at all.

Reluctantly, he took one last bite before getting up to clean his dishes off.

"Tell Penance that I said thanks for the food....and I'll be back in my room in the Infirmary," Jacen said as he slowly hobbled out of the kitchen. He noted that the training suit he was wearing definitely made it alot easier for him to move on his injured leg. Instead of falling over every few steps, he was actually able to stand up straight...although he was walking very slowly.

In a trudge, Jacen slowly made his way to his destination, passing various students of the Institute, all of them getting a rather wary look about them moving away rather quickly. Apparently, they weren't keen on an enemy in their midst. It took some time, but he was at the elevator door again to head to the basement. Just as he was about to push the button, he heard someone shuffle up next to him.

"Can I help you?," Jacen asked somewhat out of annoyance, not knowing who it was that wished to speak with him.

"I was just wanting to see how you were doing," the younger female said. Jacen recognized her as the one they called Kitty. "I heard you and Penance had a rather brutal fight and....yea. It looks like you're doing alright."

"....Quite the contrary," Jacen retorted, "Quite the contrary...." Again he reached for the button to head downstairs, but he was interrupted again.

"So, like, you're staying here now?"

"......................." Jacen didn't reply to that at all. "Only the night," he said after a moment.

"I think you should join us at the Institute," Kitty said bluntly, "If anything, Penance sees something in you that not everyone else in the Institute does. Plus, I hate to say this, but I think you'd fit in well."

"Fit in with a bunch of people that go around playing world mutant police? I don't think so, sweetheart," Jacen said sarcastically. "I've done my part being a pawn for someone and I don't know if I want to be anyone else's pawn.

"Not like you're Magneto's pawn or anything," Kitty snapped back, "Besides, Xavier doesn't, like, use his telepathy to keep us in line at all. He would never do that."

"Are you positive about that?," Jacen said harshly. "How would you know if someone was poking around in your head or not?" Kitty was about to retort, when Jacen saw Penance brushing her hair as she rounded the corner from the stairwell. He all of a sudden, he felt conflicted. As much as he wanted to stay around and talk with Penance, he just as much wanted to go the Infirmary and be by himself.....if the nurse's aides would let him.

"Excuse me, Kitty," Jacen said as he pushed the button to the elevator and watched the doors slide open. "Maybe we can continue this conversation later, but...I think I need to not be visible around the Institute."

"What...no. That's not it. Jacen, wait!!," Kitty yelled loudly as the elevators closed in her face.

"I think I'll be okay. It's just something that will take time to heal, you know? But how about this place, eh? It's amazing! And we can have training here and be students!"

Blair sat up on his bed and grinned at Teagan.

"I don't know. Sure, I feel bad for those people I...killed...and harming these nice people here at the Institute but I feel like it was my destiny to be attacked at prom. And I think I was destined to meet you there too. I can't predict the future, just call it a hunch."

He smiled again looking down at his tattered tuxedo. The bloodstains on his tie and white shirt.

"This place is pretty snazzy. Sure beats foster homes." She laughed, pushing her hair from her face.

"It all feels like a bad dream, but it's not. It's real, which bloody sucks. I think about it, and it scares me. I had to watch as my body killed, and I couldn't stop it. What is most disturbing, is I had seemed to be enjoying it. But..that wasn't me, right? I don't know, it feels like who we became were actually a part of us, not just these personalities that came out of no where. They had to be backed by more than just doctors and evil. Inside us, there's evil. I just hope it never comes around to that again." She sighed looking down at the carpet.

"Destiny, eh?" She said, after letting everything Blair said sink in.
"I feel sorry for 'oever is destined to meet me." She laughed, joking with him. She felt good to be laughing, even though she had a feeling it wasn't the correct time to be laughing. She was never one to really sit and cry and dwell on mistakes. She couldn't help what had happened.

"I'm glad I met you too. 'Least now I've got someone to talk to." She said smiling as she looked over at Blair. She saw him glance down at his destroyed Prom wear, causing her to look at her dress.

"Yeah, I think we need to find real clothes." She laughed, then it hit her.

"Wait, what do you mean, we can train here? You mean, we can stay here? As in, live here? As students here?" She said, jumping up. The thought of never having to go to another foster home, or even go back to her current one, was deffinately a thought that caused her to smile. Finally, a place where she wasn't alone..and perhaps even a place that could help her control her power.

After a few minutes, Wanda decided she waited enough. Let her pick something for me and if I hate it, I'll change her into a kitten with her powers.

She jumped out of the car and just walked away.


Freya managed to sneak away from Penny and Regina while they were talking to each other. She wanted to explore the mansion more. She left without saying a word and silently.
