"I'm fine," Zach's smile began to fade. "I'm not sure about Ivan, tho."
The other being sharing Zach's body had taken to spontaneous bouts of giggling every now and then. It was kind of eerie at times, but Zach had learned to tune it out.

"As much as I hate to make this request-" she winced. "May I speak with him for a moment?"
If Ivan came to the surface, Emma could use her Sight to determine if he was alright or not.

"Really?" Zach was momentarily stunned by the request. "If you want to... sure, I guess."
Zach closed his eyes and relinquished control to Ivan. When the symbiote surfaced he began to laugh quietly.
"Well now, this is certainly a surprise," Ivan grinned widely. "Lady Emma of Bainbridge. To WHAT do I owe this distinctly aggravating pleasure?"

"My concern for your host." Her eyes flared with the magic of the Sight, scanning Ivan intently.

"You mean after my -ehaha- heroic life-saving sacrifice," Ivan's eyes were wide as he spoke, giving Zach the appearance that he was completely out of his mind. "You never thanked me for that, you know."

She peered at him over the top of steepled fingers. "I was preoccupied at the time."
The enchantress was reminiscent of a raven; one from antiquity, perched upon a bust of Pallas, watching and waiting.

"Oh, well I suppose I can find it in me to FORGIVE YOU." His voice raised considerably on the last two words, followed by more quiet laughing. It was pretty clear to tell that Ivan was a little more than cracked after what happened.

A concealed gesture raised a shield into place, invisible to most eyes but redolent with power.
"Perhaps."
The timbre of her voice changed, a note of command in her tone as it echoed in odd places. A spell was woven into her words.
"Zachary, come back."

"Hey now," Ivan leaned back and put his hands up in between himself and Emma. "No need for force. I was just leaving anyway."
And he did. Zach resurfaced and looked to Emma hopefully.
"Find what you were looking for?"

He's mad. He's gone completely mad and it's my fault.
"In a way."
Concern flitted across her features.

"Well that's good," Zach eyed her warily. "I think."
He could see the concerned expression she wore and couldn't help but feel worried for Ivan.

"But there may be something I can do...it is my curse, I ought to be the one to carry it."
She flinched at the very thought of taking back the curse, but it was something that she thought needed doing.

"Ah, no," Zach said bluntly. "Ivan took the curse from you and I'm pretty sure he's not going to give it back. He tried explaining it to me and I think he said something about handling it better than a 'prissy little she-elf.' His words, not mine."
And aside from that, Ivan wanted the raw power that the curse had behind it. There was no way he'd give it up so easily.

Aristocracy came flooding into her stance as she summoned up every ounce of dignity and poise she had.
"Prissy? Really? I shall have to talk to him about that."

Grey walked into the bar, rubbing his head. He ordered a coffee and sipped it quietly, looking around.
