Hollis' eyes softened, she closed her eyes and gently kissed him on the lips. Embarrassed, she turned her head and blushed.

"Why are you thanking me? I only kissed you." Hollis said to Nick looking confused. She shifted her position, looking at Nick, her hair fell in her eyes.

"Thank you," Hollis said, pressing her lips against his, putting her arms around his neck. Behind them, the fire flickered out.

Hollis thought This is so unlike me, I never get close to people.
Hollis held Nick's hand, noticing the time she said, "Goodness, it's already 1 AM." She was surprised to have had such a short, but eventful day.
She stroked Nick's hair and gently dozed off on his shoulder.

Nick picked her up and carried her to the room he supposed was hers. laying her down he tucked her in and then turned the lights outand walked out silently shutting the door.

Hollis slept for a little bit, but after 20 minutes she shot up sweating and screaming. She was shaking from fear. She closed her eyes trying to erase the nightmare, but it came back. She screamed again and started crying.

nick heard the screams and ran into her room
" what? holly what is wrong?" he said walking in the dark and sitting on the edge of the bed.
" I'm here..."

Hollis calmed down a little and looked at Nick, "I saw it, I saw it all. The crash, my parents death, the drunk, everything." Hollis said, shaking. Tear rapidly ran down her face. She took Nick's hand, sitting there, rocking back and forth, she looked straight ahead.
