"In order, it wasn't petty," Spider-man protested, " Ghost Rider went after them, good luck taking on Reaper... And I was agreeing with her, anyway," he added in a mutter. Only pro-forma protest, really; if Cap was convinced that he should try to shut up, he would try to shut up.
Cat coughed one more time, then straightened. "I'll live. Nine lives and all that. And Spider's right; it wasn't a disagreement; it was banter. Why do I have to keep explaining this?" Still, she sounded more than a little shaken.

After a few moments, the greater portion of the building Rapture and Reaper were in had been destroyed. Utterly. Most of the floors of the large building had no rooms left at all. Broken walls scattered about the floor, and a few beams here and there supporting the next floor just enought that it didn't cave in from strain. Large holes were punched through each and every floor, green and black spikes littered the walls and ceilings, as well as deep slashes from claws.
Rapture had shut his mouth quite a while ago, and was still racing tirelessly up and down the building, trying to keep out of Reaper's grasp. He was, but just barely. Reaper wasn't giving him so much as a chance of getting near a window or door. Every time he tried to bust through the roof, Reaper nearly caught him. That he didn't need.
There was good news and bad news to the whole thing...
The good news...they should be well away from the heros, so it was just Reaper he had to worry about. Should the heros find them, Reaper was next to unrecognizable. They'd attack him as well. The better news, of course, was that Reaper was in so much of a frenzy, it was almost as if he'd forgotten that he had other powers. His entire focus seemed to be on ripping Rapture into pieces with his bare hands. No shadows to worry about, no fire, duplicating, nothing.
The bad news....Reaper was in so much of a frenzy that his entire focus was on ripping him into peices with his bare hands. If Rapture could keep out of his reach, good. If he could get out of this building and away from him, better. If Reaper managed to get ahold of him, then he'd have his hands full.
Rapture launched through one of the large holes in the floor of the seventh story, and sailed up through the eighth. Reaper followed after him by mere inches. Rapture cut to the right once he was on the tenth floor and spun around one of the remaining columns. A few long green spikes sailed past him as he cut back down into the next floor. From there he tried to slow Reaper down by cutting through the remaining rooms on that floor.
No luck at all. Just as Rapture went to leave through one of the busted holes in the wall of the room, Reaper made his own exit through the wall and smashed directly into him. Instantly feeling claws punch into any part of him that wasn't armored, Rapture fought back. The two slashed and rolled about the floor for a few minutes, refusing to let the other one go. Tendrils flailed and wrapped around each other, black and green spikes sailed away from them and into the walls, and both were making almost inhuman screeches. It almost sounded like two Raptors trying to kill each other.
That only lasted for so long. The damage on the building began to take it's toll, and one well shot spike managed to take out a support on the floor above them. There was a low rumble for a moment, and the entire upper floors came down on them. A second later, the building was leveled.

After a few moments, Reaper managed to crawl and bust his way through the rubble. His robe, turned black when he changed into his new Blood form, was torn to shreds and hung off of him like ropes. His physical form, which pretty much was simply a property change from his boney skeletal form to a kryptonite skeletal form with horns, was now different. The green horned skeleton remained, but there was a black human like form under it. It seemed close to what Riku's current form looked like, only the mess of spikes on his back had scattered to various parts of the skeleton. Long sharp green spikes traveled down his back along his spine, which had elongated itself and hung from him like a tail itself.
He stood from the rubble and very carefully looked around. Watching and listening for anything that moved. His hands were soaked with Rapture's blood, and lay clenched at his sides. Once the building had come down, Rapture had managed to pry himself from his grasp. He was gone. And Reaper...well for lack of a better word, was pissed. Completely. The one man, who he could seriously say he hated probably more than his father, had seconds ago been within his grasp. His hands were soaked with the mans blood, and he was inches away from ripping his guts out. Twenty years....twenty damn years that man had coming to him. And now he was gone.
Reaper was NOT letting him slip away. He was going to get his hands on him again...and he was going to kill him. Very messily, very painfully, and very, very slowly...he didn't care if anyone tried to stop him. He was going to do it.
A chunk of debree slid from the outer edge of the giant mess, and Reapers eyes instantly shot towards it. He didn't see anything, but that didn't mean the man wasn't there. That chunk of wall looked like it had moved, and he could definately still sence Blood.
Without waiting to see if anything else moved, Reaper shot an array of spikes at the area around it. They all sank into the ground and neighboring buildings except for one...which bounced off of nothing. Next to the darker part of the...wait, why the hell wasn't he using his other powers? Idiot!
Still furious, and now angrier that he hadn't used any of his other abilities long ago, he forced every bit of shadow that was in the alley to swarm where Rapture supposedly was. The second he did, something he didn't expect to happen surprised him enough that he lost control of the shadows completely. The blood splatterd over him and on his hands had suddenly sparked to life and wrapped around him. It began constricting him, and a second later thorns began to spring from it. He roared and struggled against it, trying to pull himself free.
The blood, or Blood in this case, that was behind him melted to the ground, and another Rapture began to take from. It wasn't actually him, that Reaper could tell, but it still looked like it would be enough to keep him occupied. Another Rapture melted from the Blood as if to confirm that thought.
As the two fake Raptures began to attack the bound and enfuriated Reaper, the real Rapture was carefully making his way up the side of the building...his cloaking abilities still doing their thing. He could stay and watch. He really, really wanted to, too. But, now was the most opportune time to make an escape. And since they were closer to the block where the heros were than he thought, escape was definately a good idea. He could hide in plain site around the heros by reverting to his human form. They had no idea what he actually looked like. As for if Reaper continued to search for him, and he would, he could just ask for a favor from his new boss.

Skuld glanced between Spiderman and Cap, "What is it with this city? You'd swear it was the bloody apocalypse! I don't suppose anyone knows where Dr. Frankenstein is with his lab?!?"
Pause.
"Did anyone just hear or feel... rumbling?"

Rapture finally made it to the roof of the building, and took a quick glance back at Reaper. Reaper had managed to free himself and had shred the two fakes to pieces. But, that only duplicated their numbers, making more of them. Infuriating him further.
Feeling confident that Reaper had his hands full, Rapture let his cloaking abilities fall for just a moment. Just to let Reaper see him getting away. For one brief moment, Reaper did, and his rage seemed to explode. Rapture grinned and started across the rooftop out of Reaper’s line of sight. He was just about to activate his cloaking abilities again, but stopped dead in his tracks.
”That’s not what I told you to do.” X said, standing in the center of the building with his arms crossed.

"And that's not what I told YOU to do," came a new, irritated voice. Strange was standing a few feet away, his arms crossed. "Honestly. At what point do you consider your plate FULL?"
Just then, a flaming chain came shooting out of nowhere, and wrapped around Rapture's ankle. "BURN."
Strange blinked. "Oh, dear. Ghost Rider, I would appreciate it if--"
"I am busy, Sorcerer."
"...Ah. Well that's unfortunate." After a second of hesitation, he turned back to X. "SO? Your mate is FINE, by the way. Thanks for asking. I'm sure she appreciates it."

X's facial expression didn't change, but his jaw instantly tightened once he heard the man's voice. He wasn't expecting the man to arrive so...instantaneous. He hadn't even been here but a few seconds.
He ignored the first half of what Strange had said and kept his attention on Rapture. Who, at this point looked a bit paniced at the chain that had found its way around his ankle. His eyes flashed a split second, and Rapture's ankle phased through the chain.
"I suggest you find someplace else to be. I'll deal with you later." he said in a calm voice.
Rapture blinked, then took off without saying so much as a word. He moved quickly across the walls and rooftops of neighboring buildings. Guy was on a bike, no way he could get up here.
X watched Rapture leave, then turned his attention towards the sorcerer. "So I was told." he replied after a small pause. There didn't seem to be any emotion on his face, or in his voice.

"Yes and we better get going." Cap replied to Skuld. He looked at Spider-man and Black Cat. "Can I count on you two?" Cap asked with the tiniest hint of uncertantiy in his vocie. What Strange told him early flashed in his mind. "Cat, if you are not one hundred percent could you take it easy and not strain yourself. I don't want you to get hurt more than you already have." He said to her.

Cap... Wow, Cap alive and talking to him... Still weird. Okay, how do I say, 'Absolutely sir, I'd follow you into the gaping maw of hell itself,' and 'OMG!! CAP!! YOU'RE ALIVE YAY!!!' Without sounding like a complete moron... "Sure thing Cap, just let me grab my coat." Brilliant Parker, sheer genius.

The younger Spider-man face-palmed. "Please tell me I don't sound like that," he groaned. "I think what he MEANT to say was: yes, Cap, we would pretty much follow you to hell and back. ... Coat. Jesus, that was bad."
Cat shot a very annoyed look at Spider-man, and then crossed her arms. "Count me out."

"It's ok. I know what he ment. I knew I could count on you two. It is ok if you don't want to come Cat." Cap said as he looked from each person. He was still a little shaken by the news Strange gave him. It was making him act alittle different around people.

"Well, normally what I do in this situation is swing towards the sound of things blowing up, if I can't pinpoint it exactly, my spidersense fills in the blanks. So, I'll go ahead and take point then....Wait, you're not coming?" Peter finally registered Cat's statement.
