Angelo pulled his knives and spun as the Guardian ran forward, simultaneously dodging to the side while attempting to slash the knee joints apart. His blade failed to make contact. The Guardian turned to face him just as Ventus laid a heavy blow across it's back, causing a large dent to form. The creature spun and backhanded him, causing Ventus to fly across the hall to rest in an wall indentation formed of his body weight hitting the surface. Turning back toward Angelo, the Guardian raised it'd two metallic fists above it's head, preparing to bring them down upon the stealthy man's head.

((Well, if you look back a couple of pages, you'll see that this RP was pretty close to ending, but then I helped to introduce a fresh idea. You can read all about it there, but I was just helping to set up the new story arc and finish letting the others do their thing. After a few more posts, I'm gonna stop for a bit, and then have Angelo and Ventus show up mysteriously to reveal the secret and help them all remember.))

Angelo's attention was distracted by a piercing yell. He looked over to see a girl in pod garb standing near Ventus. A fraction of a second later, the Guardian was covered in vines, unable to move. It writhed this way and that, the grating vines forcing forth an empty, hollow sound. The thing could be crushed by the vines, but then more would come. More were probably already on their way.
Standing quickly, Angelo plunged his knife into the armor, cutting downward. This one was made of steel, no match for the mythril knives he bore, and he cut through the breastplate like butter. Pushing inside farther, he carved a scratch through the seal inside the armor. He quickly pulled out his arm as the metal went limp, now just a useless suit of armor stuck in a plant. He turned to the girl near Ventus.
"And just who are you?"

Ventus shook his head vigorously as he came out of his stupor. He pushed himself out of the wall. As he moved away, his skin underwent a visual transformation from the scaly surface it had when under pressure to it's normal, everyday look and feel.
"Feeling okay, buddy?" Angelo asked as he walked over to him and the strange girl. Ventus nodded.
"Guardians play too rough..." He said, looking at the limp armor with child-like disappointment. Angelo nodded, slipping his knives back into their sheaths on his legs.
"You never answered me, lady." Angelo said, glancing over at the girl.

((The incident in which I had the two of you were exposed to the crystal in the indentation. And don't worry, I'll dictate the effects when the liquid is used.))

Crow had a few ideas on what the liquid might be, but wasn't quite sure. He was leaning toward an advantage, but Doctor K was difficult to read and seemingly never consistent. He turned to Kioko and nodded before quickly looking back towards the creature that was approaching him. He'd come to the same conclusion as Kioko; Ki, elemental powers, and something to do with beastly aspects. Were these experiments mirroring them? It seemed to him as they fought the last experiment that it had plasmakinesis, the same as Strobe had. And these, apparently the same as himself, Kioko, and Max. Crow broke the train of thought, these things seemed extremely aggressive and to be off guard was probably an invitation to defeat. He would take the one with the Ki manipulation, meanwhile Kioko would probably handle the elemental. Unfortunately it seemed they'd have to keep an eye out for the last together. Crow dashed forward, making a single leap and sliding, hovering across the ground at supersonic speed by riding Ki that he focused underfoot. He put one arm forward and one back, readying himself for an attack. He felt it was best that they make preemptive strikes before they were overwhelmed.

"You could start wit your name." Angelo said, then shook his head. "Actually, forget it. We don't need to be forging bonds with someone we're not taking with us. We just don't ave time for this." He said, nodding to Ventus. Ventus moved forward and picked Angelo up. Angelo closed his eyes, preparing to use his ability to fade beyond perception.

Angelo faded out of the sight and sound of everyone and everything, taking Ventus along with him as they rounded a corner. In that instant, that blink of an eye, they were gone.

The creature that walked towards Crow was not quite so stingy with his powers as his counterpart, he charged forward in the same manner gliding forward as if flying low to the ground. But instead of using this alone it sped itself up in time, warping itself at Crow with speed much greater than normal. It powered in full putting as much Ki as Crow usually put into a single limb throughout its entire body. Still gliding in hyper-time it closed in on the slowed Crow and thrust forward a straight punch as it did.

The experiment threatening Kioko on the other hand made its move in another way. An arm waved up into the air sent a large shockwave and walking pillar of jagged earth breaking through the floor and towards Kioko. As it finished the short movement it also allowed fire to gather in funnels around its arms.

The animal-like creature moved with the last, climbing the earthen spikes rapidly before leaping among their tops, hoping to move in on Kioko from above.
