Wait, have people been dying? I wish there was a gossip newspaper around here. I'd love it. Elke bit her lip hard, watching Mortis. There was nothing she really had to say. He'd been gone, hadn't he? Or did he die too? I bet he left this sinful place. I don't know if I could believe Vegas would be worse than this.

Jericho watched Elke, envy warming her blood. Why couldn't Elke have liked me? What's so bad about me? The demon watched Elke, standing in slight shadows, her eyes a dark, deep, inky black, her running black eyeliner making her look cold and sorrowfull. Would Elke notice her, standing there, sopping wet? Part of Jericho wanted Elke to turn and see her, but then part of her wanted Elke to simply not notice her, to just continue with whatever she had been doing. Jericho remained still and silent, waiting, weighing the outcomes of the scenario.

"and here i thought my trip to england would put me past all this" he said thoughtfully. he laid backwards and stared at the night sky. "i just hope....she's okay" he said softly almost to himself.

Leave him be. He looks like he's in his own place right about now. She nodded him a goodbye, turning on her heel again to look out at the steel lake. Instead, she saw Jericho, sopping wet. Man. She looks bad. "Ah. Ello dahling. It's been awhile, eh?" She walked closer to her, noticing her solem face. "You must be freezing, kid. You should really cover yerself up, dear." She smiled a little, nodding towards her. Elke turned for a moment, listening to Mortis, but returning back to Jericho.

Jericho looked at Elke, an unreadable expression across her features. "Yes, it has." Her voice was careful and deliberate. She looked down at herself, her exposed body dripping. "I'm.. sorry." She said awkwardly, as she turned her shirt around, and put it over her shoulders, buttoning the buttons from top to bottom.

"Ah. No worries. I wouldn't stop ye from a swim." She looked out to the calm lake, it frightened but none the less she could still smile at it. Elke nodded at her again, out of habit. "True. I blame meself for not seeing you. I got tied up in some..trouble." Elke chuckled forcedly, before sighing once again. Oh, stop with that. It's getting annoying.

mortis looked over to where elke and jericho were speaking and just then realized he had so rudely ignored her prescense. he watched the two speak as if they were old friends. he wondered aloud what went on in elke's mind.

"It's no problem.." Jericho said softly, after straightening her shirt. She looked at the Jack Daniels bottle her and Alucard had been sharing just minutes before. The demon frowned, and then looked back up at Elke. "What have you been up to lately?" She asked, her voice was distant and slightly-forced nonchalant.

Did he just say that? Like wow. Some people can't stop themselves from talking. Elke glanced over at Mortis where he sat with a confused expression on her face. "What what what did you say?" She stammered lightly, had he known he had said that aloud? "I've gotten into boatloads of trouble. It's amazes me." She murmured still looking at Mortis, strangely. "You?" She asked, patting her head as she swayed a few bangs out of her eyes. I say you grow yer hair out, sucka. It'll be purtay, I bet.

Jericho had to stop herself from saying what had really been going on. Strangely enough, she didn't think that Elke would want to hear something along the lines of, Well, I was crying because you wont fall in love with me, and because you've found someone else that you like.. and it isn't me.. "Not much." She said dryly. "Here and there." Jericho ran a hand through her wet hair, watching Elke with her coal black eyes, that were so intensely drained of light, and their familiar green shine.

He wants to know your secrets. Let me slide or keep 'em up. "I guess you haven't met any pacifists, then. Plus, didn't you know I was a little crazy?" Elke sensed he wanted more to an explanation, but she didn't know if she wished to tell another few souls her most private thoughts and well, there's too. She shrugged at him, trying to keep two conversations at once. She turned her attention to Jericho, smiling as she said, "Ah. Nothing really? No daring escapes from death or saving lives? You're lucky." She laughed heartily.

"I tend to stay away from the spotlight when possible." Jericho said, looking away from Elke. She couldn't stand to just talk to Elke, and see that Elke clearly did not suffer from their lost compatibility like she, herself was. "And last time I talked to you, you were the same way.." She continued, her voice showing low traces of the life it normally did.
