Trust me, Perfect Blue is gorgeous. You might also want to check out Paprika, which was directed by the same person as Perfect Blue.


I have seen Paprika D: Can't remember much though, just loads and loads of colours. But that's usually with those kinds of movies, there's so much stuff happening, loads of it metaphorical and such, so I can barely follow it while watching, let alone remember much afterwards.
