Ceremonial Version of Egyptian battleaxe

Pretty effective weapon, when coupled with a shield, or another axe.

Yes it is, though I may keep with the crowbill. I expect armour and I want to be able to hook people with it, something I couldn't do with a sword.

Here, this is the weapon I regularly use, although mine is a little bit more complicated.

By complicated do you mean this?

No, not really.
My Zweihander (Known as the Diatsga) is a little bit more fantasy in effect.
According to the ever-so-ludicrous story of it's creation, the Diatsga is made of actual light. Light that was trapped under a mountain that fell from the sky. When that mountain was destroyed ten thousand years later, the light particles under it had actually hardened into material (Sorta' like the way coal becomes a diamond).

That material was fastened into a really massive sword, which is way bigger than the usual Zweihander, and tends to look something like the sword Cloud uses in Final Fantasy 7, although I've used mechanical and design techniques to make it easier and more realistically possible to wield it.

The thing is, the weapon is rather unstable, and has a tendency to explode and shatter. However, the hilt redraws in the particles and reforms the sword. This process takes about ten minutes to perform and has thusly cost me numerous fights.

And yes, I know that someone like Kold Shiro or any other person around here would have a field day arguing about the impossibilities of that weapon.

You were speaking with one of them. I visibly cringed upon the abuse of science at reading that. And this is coming from someone that likes lightsabers.

Mine [when complete] is a custom job, pertaining to a sword.

22 cm. hilt, 40 cm. blade. No curves, until about 10 cm. from the blade's tip, in which it resembles the 6th model shown here,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knife#Shapes

Similiar to a common Katana, until that point. Comprised of the metal "Ghost Jade", supposedly, Kuro was to give it some unnatural elements with a demon I specified in the "Outside" thread.

I considered naming it Caladbolg, after ol' Fergus's own weapon.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caladbolg

Extremely light, yet very durable [at the least, 5x stronger in general in compared to common, refined steel], and ascented for shere slicing ability. Good for one handed use, and with it's light weight, a melee-focused character can shift it to and fro' from either hand whilst still using the free one for offensive strikes, borrowing a bit from Kempo.

Once I bring back my -other- main, often-used character in many roleplays, I'll be needing to consider a weapon for him, as well. An ank, perhaps..

Wonderful. I'm one of those firm belivers that roleplay is ********' fantasy, and not real life. When you bring reality into fantasy, you're totally making it redundant. I mean, it's fantasy. When you have reality inside fantasy, you don't have fantasy anymore. You have ********.

I believe that it totally depends. There should be a reasonable mixture of fantasy & what we deem "reality"; it's only when both are combined, that fantasy purges reality. domokun

But, I do hear ya' though.

I currently have a custom one-hand flameberge, or a serrated blade claymore. It can slighty morph according to Cziri's will.

I also have a one mortuary sword.

Hmm, Cziri needs a few more weapons, any suggestions, Vercellius?

For some reason, I feel like some sort of dual-blade sword, like one from Neverwinter Knights.

Some sort of form of it.

Also, I should probably mention something about how I began this character when I was in fourth grade, and at that time I didn't care too much about the science behind my friggin' sword. That was back when I was damn creative, no strings attatched.
Nowadays, you roleplayer elites get too caught up in the science behind everything, and not enough in the fun.

r4wr. Lightsabers aren't light!

They're energy curved in a super-thin oval-thing. Which comes from a rock/material thing that has energy go through it. xO!

Toast: xO!!!! We're still creative. Just on the realistic level. And likely the less lame things.

/me dances.

Toast: Ah, but we're not roleplaying elites. We all have marginal-to-large room to improve. domokun Plus, being creative and incorperating roleplay-specific "logic & fact" can both totally roll with one another; fantasy can go as far as it wishes, but it's always interesting for explanations to accompany it. So hey, that's me. domokun

Cziri: Try.. Twin Franciscas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisca

Perhaps, flaming ones that return to you at will? It'd double as a close and long range weapon.

Ooo, that pole arm is a good one.
I haven't used a partisan/naginata/glaive in a while, those could do well. Hell, even a trident is fun.
