[[sorry for the absence...i had to tend with family matters before i could get online.]]
Batosai waited for his instructions. As Andou disappeared, Batosai immediately made his way to the gym. He ran as fast as he could but he came short as he tripped over his feet and fell the rest down the stairs the rest of the way. As Karake and Hitomi passed him, Batosai immediatly got back to his feet and continued to run to the gym. But he managed just in time before Mizuri.
Batosai quietly walked with Andou and the others as they reached their destination. Just then he sat down to rest. His body was pretty sore from falling down a flight of stairs. It didn't matter now. At least he was here and ready to train. The question was if Andou will call him out first or wait till later. Batosai wanted to prove that he had what it takes but he need to show everyone besides himself.

[Black and White, you beat Hitomi's roll XD Therefore, you were faster than her.
Also, sorry for the crappy posts, guys, this week is really tough u_u;]
"That's half correct," Andou replied. "What you're talking about is actually just hand-to-hand," he corrected Karake. "Weaponry falls well within the realms of taijutsu, as it's just the art of physical fighting. That is, you use your hands and legs, or even other parts of your body, to inflict blows and damage your opponents. Weapons count because you're using your hands to control the weapon," he explained to the class.
He glanced at the clock, and noted that they were a bit behind schedule. He'd have to step up the pace then. "Everybody, grab a dummy. Rei-san, you'll have to demonstrate some moves and the proper stance to the new students. I want everybody to practice hitting the vital targets on the dummies. 10 punches with each hand, 10 jabs with each hand," Andou demonstrated the more precise two-fingered strike that many medical ninja favoured, "and 10 kicks with each leg. Try to imitate Rei-san as thoroughly as possible."
Andou then went up to Hitomi and said to her in a lower voice, "Sorry you're not seeing much action yet as a genin. I'll look into giving you more interesting things in the future, but for now could you just go around the class helping those that need it? I think I'll also need you to pair up with someone for a spar at the end."

[[Am I correct in saying that this is strength training, and thus preforming it successfully will raise our strength scores as well as giving us experience? That is the one part of the game system I still haven't figured out yet.]]

Karake took a position in front of one of the dummies. He copied a stance that he had seen his father use once, or tried to anyway. He decided start with punches. He pulled his right arm back, focused on the target, and took a swing at the defenseless hunk of wood. Unfortunately, he missed and fell forward. His face ironically hit the target. He pushed himself back up without a word and got ready for the next attempt.

Karake once more pulled his right arm back. He didn't focus so much on stance this time as it didn't seem to help much. He focused with all his might to line up his arm with the target, and then gave a forward thrust. Once again he mist, this time he spun around a bit and ended up hitting himself. He was quite embarrassed at that one. He calmed down and decided to wait to see Hitomi do it. He was clearly doing something wrong.

Hitomi's smile never faltered as she waited in the back for her Sensei to give her some instructions. So she would be helping the class today, that didn't bother her one bit. She thought it was rather interesting, considering she had never experienced the real 'classroom' life. Not that she didn't appreciated the time Andou-Sensei had spent with her, she just thought it was interesting to experience the real classroom life. "Nothing to be sorry for Andou-Sensei!" she said cheerfully. "I'm more then willing to help out where I can" she also remarked with a nod, then started to look around at the few students.
"Karake, you need to balance yourself out a little." she called out, making her way over to the struggling boy. "Here, let me show you.." she said with a smile. She knew what it was like to struggle with the whole physical fighting thing... it really wasn't her cup of tea, but she was confident enough to give people pointers! So she rose her voice just a little, so that way the other students, as well as Karake could hear her, "I find that when practicing my punches... keeping your body balanced keeps you from making mistakes like falling over." she said jokingly. Then she stood herself up as straight as she could, and squared her shoulders off with the Karake's dummy.
"Keep your knees bent a little bit, because then you can move a little more freely and you can charge your punches easier without having to make it more then obvious that you are going to attack them." Once she finished her explination, she looked back to the dummie and made two quick motions with her arms, making two swift punches to the dummy, one with each hand. "You see, with my knees bent, I can put more power into my punch, without having to draw my arm back too much and giving it away." as she stated this, she slowly showed how she made the attack, hardly pulling her arm back, but using more of her body's power to make the attack. "Does that make sense?"

Karake gave a quick nod. "Yeah, I think so." He got on the other side of the dummy from where Hitomi was standing. He checked his balance this time and copied Hitomi's stance as closely as he could. He pulled his arm back less than before but still more than Hitomi, and thrust forward. Unfortunately, he was aimed too high and his fist slammed into the wood. He bit his lip a bit before regaining his composure and readying himself for the next strike.

Karake rubbed his knuckles and re-positioned himself. He balled up his right fist again, pulled back his arm a bit, and thrust forward. This time his aim was two low and once again his fist hit the wood at the wrong angle, causing more pain. He remained silent and prepared for the next attempt.

Karake ignored the minor pain in his knuckles and adjusted his footing, checked his balance, double-checked his aim and launched his fist forward. At least this time he didn't get hurt. The fist flew past the right of the dummy and made contact with nothing but air.

Once again Karake thrust and missed, this time he had gone too far to the left. "Urg, why can't I get this?" He muttered to himself. "Oh well, that's why I'm here, I guess." He put his fist under his chin and considered how to go about hitting the target, seeing as his previous attempts had all failed.

Karake decided to try a forward uppercut to hit the target. He positioned himself a little lower than before and thrust his fist upward. He missed by no more than an inch. His arm flew farther upwards which almost caused Karake to fall backwards, but he caught himself just in time and regained his balance. "Oof, this training is harder than it sounds."

Batosai nodded as he was given his instructions. "It was about time I got to do something." he thought. His head tilted a little to the left to see the other students were just as determined as him. Batosai could see it in their eyes. They had the eyes of what the future shinobi will become. Strong, determined, and willing to give their lives for their dreams and loved ones. All Batosai had was a vison of the future, not a dream nor any loved ones. This made him uneasy as he was feeling like it was a disadvantage.
Batosai walked towards Andou and quickly obtained his training dummy. Now all he had to do was to successfully complete the exercise. So Batosai stood the dummy up in a standing position and balanced it so it wouldn't fall over. Once Batosai made sure it was balanced he took a few steps back. "Ok lets start with 10 jabs with my left, then with my right. Just so I can get that out of the way." Batosai thought. He quickly threw a light jab at the dummy but the dummy fell over before Batosai could hit it.

"God d****t!" Batosai thought. He picked the dummy up off the floor and placed it back in the standing position. But he made sure it was straight up this time. He didn't want it to fall again, not when he need to get his work done. Batosai threw his arms up ready to start training again, but without any distractions. Without hesitation he threw his left arm forward for a quick jab. But he lost his balance and almost fell forward if he didn't catch himself . But as he was falling forward, his fist flew past the dummy.

It wasn't the most embarrassing moment he had, but Batosai needed to remain focused. He turned his head over and observed Hitomi giving Karake insturctions. Batosai didn't like to easedrop but he felt like it was necessary this time. "Hmmm....bending my knees. That could work." he thought. Batosai bent his knees slightly and got into fighting position. He quickly threw a left jab which made contact right square in the the chest of the dummy.
